The hotel has 10 floors, is thus relatively small. One has a lounge with computers and internet. You have but apart from that free wi-fi internet access, so that one itself with cell phone/laptop/i-pad could go online. Sometimes a bit slow, but at least available.
Cleanliness was definitely. The hotel could perhaps be updated. read more

My girlfriend and i felt very comfortable! Great hotel for the small price in the middle in the heart of New York! All the staff were super nice and always very helpful! Our room was in the backyard and it was totally quiet on the 4. floor. The furniture is old, the light artificial, but despite all a great! The unique location was great, since one almost everything to reach on foot could. The siloh cafe was delicious and our first port of call in the morning! The breakfast there was very diverse and not too expensive.
Our summary: if ... again New York City, then this hotel! read more

Clean city hotel with a very convenient location. Empire State Building is on foot about minutes away.
Underground station 5 minutes. Department store macy 10 minutes.
Rockefeller Center is also to reach on foot, about 30 minutes on foot.
Breakfast possibilities next door and opposite. Verhungern one does not do.
The hotel is for a short city break recommendable.
Cheaper limousine service can in the house be ordered.
Drive with stretschlimousine costs 55 Dollar plus brückentax and tip to the airport jfk. read more

The right not to expensive hotel for a shorter stay in Manhattan.
Our room was rather small, but very dark, because the dark inner courtyard went. That would be otherwise no matter who spends in new York already longer in the room on-, if we are not 'sandy' the electricity and the water withdrawn would have ;-) read more

The hotel has only 10 floors, is in the 32 th. Road 34 east, right in the middle in Manhattan. In the entrance area couches prospecke for excursions of any type from, you can also excursions on the front desk book. There is a lounge with possibility for internet (costs 10 minutes = 2 €and is very slow). There is an elevator and a narrow flight of stairs. The rooms to the street are quite loud, others are quite dark backyard. Underground station and bus stop very close, is in a 'side street'. All nationalities and every age in the ... guests available. Without breakfast, a snack bar is right next door. read more

The hotel is located in the 32. street, so in the heart of manhattan. Also on foot is very good everything, but also the subway is right around the corner. The rooms are - as a general rule in New York - very small. Breakfast or snacks during the day in the attached diner take (captains diner), really very recommendable! read more

A great city hotel, with a great location.
Rooms are rather Spartan and quaintly furnished, but clean!
The bathroom came and fairly new/renovated.
Had a room to street.
At night was very loud, we had however a little disturbed, have nevertheless sleep well.
That was probably the jetlag :-)
Free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
We would in any case our friends recommend! read more

The hotel's location is great (34 East 32. Street between Madison avenue and park avenue, 1 block away from the empire State building). The ESB is even from the room/ window to see - really beautiful lighting in the evening! Hotel cleanliness was completely fine. The lobby and the front desk very clean! The hotel room was practically furnished and big enough. The bathroom was for 2 people adequate cut ( bath tub with fault, toilet and large washbasin) - inclusive hair dryer ( Beware: here not too much Power expect). Right from the hotel were 2 subway stations (a ... uptown/downtown). The way up to the Broadway is however also on foot very well done ( about 10 minutes) to the Manhattan mall. Next to the hotel there is a small shop (here you can drinks and other details shopping), cheaper price ( mostly cheaper than in other shops). Also a delicious breakfast is right near the hotel there. Just this right out of the hotel until the corner, then turn right again and next traffic Lights on the other side of the street are already 2 delicious restaurants to see. Definitely here pancakes with syrups and grilled banana try! Tasty and price-performance superb. The hotel reception was very friendly and well understandable. A late flight and from the hotel desired early check out (11 hours) is locked luggage storage directly next to the reception available. This can only from the reception be opened-clear plus point! So even the day of departure in thoroughly without bothering luggage in NY enjoyed be. The room was cleaned daily. The bed linen even within the week changed, so as the towels changed daily! In the room is an airco, a small fridge and a tv included. Respect: air conditioning and fridge are quite noisy-better window open and for sleeping close! Fridge from the wall, so that the constant Hum the earned sleep disturbs.
All together the hotel was a real gem! Great location, top cleanliness, top friendliness! You can with confidence recommend.
Tip I: definitely a weeks-U -railway ticket for 29 Dollar buy. It is worthwhile really and protects the feet!
Tip II: from the airport ( JFK) with the airtrain and the subway directly to the hotel drive. Airtrain costs 5 Dollar ( Combi-ticket with the metro for 1 day 7. 25 Dollar). Buses and taxis are mostly in the rush hour and are quite full. The airtrain and the subway were super quick and also sufficiently seats available.
Note: in this review cannot statements to ' sport, entertainment',' dining '' family friendliness' be made. To 'was handicap friendly' can only be said, that a elevator is available. Complaints gave it from no! read more

Grand union hotel, in the middle of Manhattan, just one block from the empire State building, 10 minutes footpath from Grand Central Station away, between park and Madison avenue-is ideal for New York- tourist, the a clean guteszimmer for sleeping need and apart from that on the magnificent city focus. Rooms are without a balcony, pool, dining and safe, but very clean and so central in the town, as it hardly better, but absolutely affordable. Room to the inner courtyard even surprisingly quiet. I was very satisfied, staff very friendly and helpful, super service. read more

Stayed in October three nights at the grand Union hotel. The rooms are not too big, but functional equipped (egtl were there only to sleep in the room). The location of the hotel is simply great-right on the Empire State building and fifth avenue at the. Food-Starbucks we had no place to eat breakfast is only about three minutes walk away, other restaurants right next to the fifth avenue. Traffic connections was great, also sight seeing buses run directly from the Empire State building ☺ Times square also easy to reach on foot. All in all: price/performance ratio was absolutely! ... Would definitely recommend this hotel in any case again. read more

The hotel is a good decision former. The location can't be beat. We explored most of new York on foot. But the metro is good. The room was clean and for the short amount of time, the one in the room has spent more than adequate. The tv and the bathroom were quite new. We had a room to the backyard. I think, that we were lucky, because the rooms facing the street are certainly somewhat louder than the courtyard (new York is loud). Otherwise, the doors and walls are rather thin. If you mind that-take ear plugs ☺ We ... ate out. The adjoining restaurant so we can say nothing. The staff is rather quiet (rarely got a 'Hello' from the front desk, if you don't first says). They are friendly and helpful but (we immediately got a room, although it is not ours was. They kindly changed just the rooms). The safe was free of charge and at the front desk. In the lobby there is Internet (6 $per half hour).
New York is otherwise really worth seeing. It is noisy, fast and crowded. The new York are a very special person: you must always be stupid saying ☺ It was a beautiful vacation and the hotel has contributed in any case. read more

We had a wonderful week in new York. The hotel is an ideal starting point for shopping and sightseeing in the Big Apple. The metro is fantastic and the Empire State is right next to the house. Sadly the room was in the backyard a bit noisy, because of the constantly running air conditioners. Otherwise, we will be back! read more

It's a typical NYC hotel. Very spartan. The hotel offers itself no breakfast, but right next door is a cafe (Pancaces, bagels, etc. ) Also is very centrally located and is set in the immediate vicinity also Früstücksmöglichkeiten. There is a wireless Internet access in the lobby or either on the PC's provided for Endgelt. Of guests were guests of all ages from old to young and from all corners of the world. 10 Floors, elevator available read more
