A great city hotel with excellent restaurant différente to stay there again! We were the 3. time within a year in the Hotel Krone unterstrass and very satisfied. Tip: the luxury room the townhouse (behind the main building located) are very nice, modern and functional and above all very quiet. The staff are friendly, competent, helpful. Very good cuisine, attractive ambiance in the restaurant. For us is the Krone unterstrass the hotel in Zürich, where we welcome and feel at home. Value for money is in our opinion very good. read more

The hotel standard in Switzerland is reputedly in into. Comparison rather bad but what the hotel Krone in Zürich as a single room a juicy price of 160 chf / night without breakfast offers borders of boldness par excellence (with more than 160 hotel nights per year I have a judgment can).
The single room may have a size of at best (!) 12 until 15 meters² had, -the narrow bed has just just fit purely and a very small table-there are under guarantee larger prison cells.
With swisscom furthermore no satisfactory cell phone reception (gprs!) In the room had ..., there is luckily free (mobile number is registered ) wi-fi but but from the performance rather average. In addition to rooms with very thin walls - whenever the old construction the tram to the kronenstrasse runs vibrates latent perceptible the bed and the table (old building).
Also the friendliness at the reception left much to be desired - the hello and the question of the name and, of course, the identification was apparently in Switzerland as welcome rich.
Advantageous: bar and restaurant, as well as the access to oepnv.
Basically but: this hotel never again. read more

Very nice city hotel. Tram stop (line 11 + 14 ) directly in front of the hotel. Main station, sights and shops with the tram easy to reach. At the breakfast buffet there was a good selection. Size of the double room big enough - bed a bit small, but also okay. Wi-Fi included. Staff at the reception and in the restaurant very friendly and helpful. read more

The Hotel Krone in Zürich-Unterstrass is only about 1 kilometer from Zurich train station away and very central. Because the hotel on a main street with tramway traffic is, you should consider when choosing the room after possibility a room in the direction lateral road choose. My room was unfortunately in the direction main street and was therefore at least with an open window very noisy. Apart from that was the room but quite tidy furnished and also very clean.
The breakfast was very rich and also very good quality.
The staff, at reception, as well as in the restaurant ... was very friendly. read more

The hotel lies at central location. The center with the tram in 10 minutes to reach. It drives all couple minutes a tram. However are the rooms to the street bit noisy, as well as are the rooms quite noisy. read more

we had the hotel has new year's Evebooked. Booked we had the complete Silvesterpaket with room, fruit bowl on the room, sparkling wine for the fireworks, 5 coursemenu in the evening and breakfast. In addition there was also a card with the you 24 hours the transport can use.
it was really a mad lovely stay, all surprises were positive (this included for example the I love was a bathtub in the room and details in the room, which in the leftover are very nice). The breakfast on next morning was also better as I expected, it was very varied ... and rich.
what great was, the station for transport is located in front of the door, so it is super easy to get into town and the trains come constant, so also here nothing with unnecessary waiting times connected.
so all together really top-top service, great rooms, great food, top new year's Eve. It all simply came together! read more

The crown is an ideal hotel for the hotel when travelling to zurich. The price/performance ratio was right, at least for zurich standards, the room are clean and the breakfast was really good. The single rooms are something small. For a night but more than adequate. To be highlighted is very friendly staff in all the, both at the reception, as also in the restaurant. read more

The room was spacy and very clean, very comfortable bed. Window to the back side of the hotel, very quiet.
The hotel is just in front of a tram station, thus very convenient. Only 15min walk or 5 min taxi ride from the main station. I would definitely go there again. read more

Good connection with the tram, station right outside the door. Parking per day for a fee. ( Chfr.15, -) friendly staff, good condition of the hotel. Nice restaurant. Dinner were we out to the kitchen so we can't say anything. At breakfast could in this category and to the price of Chfr 19, -per person. evlt including be the fried eggs. (Unfortunately is charged extra) in other four star hotels have we always and without including reduction received. Unfortunately, the room no flat-screen TV, in the newly refurbished rooms is certainly the case that, in the not renewed rooms ... The breakfast is not varied enough and no longer meets today's four star superior standard. location is a little far away from the down town. should be take the tram with luggage. but after get-off tram, easy to going to the hotel. as a four stars hotel, room size is a little bit too small. read more

This was a very nice hotel. I had a single room which, while small, was well designed and furnished in an attractive modern style. The bathroom was fine. The breakfast buffet was very good. It's about a 20 minute walk north of the main station, but just a 5 minute tram ride, and the trams are frequent until midnight and stop right in front of the hotel. I did not see many restaurants or stores in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but as it was so convenient to take the tram to the center of town that was not ... a problem at all. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel and would certainly stay there again. read more
