Unattractive hotel with to lots of problems

The Holiday Inn is located somewhat remote of the city center, is however with a car reachable in a few minutes. Around the hotel there is little to explore, hardly restaurants. Than Priority Club-platinum member we got a upgrade to an particularly beautiful room (614), but this was way too hot (26 degrees noisy thermostat in the room). The heater was unable, with the help of the cleaning staff would leave their mops is not (this meant, that across the room heating pipes went, so warm). The next problem that was not working internet in the room, also from the ... caretaker not to fix it was. We then bumped up to a smaller room with a balcony, there it was not so hot, but the internet was there not, what very disappointing was. In the lobby of the hotel worked the internet however. The biggest disappointment was however the breakfast, the not only was expensive, but on the one hand in a unattractive area, anderersetis way too small and without plenty of choice. The service was at best disinterested, so i absolutely from the breakfast in the hotel from. The hotel has a pool in the basement, the large, however ugly appears. The subsequent sauna is not very nice, but good. read more

The hotel is a medium-sized hotel, the at the 60.-70. years ago, and is thoroughly renovated. In many areas the work already completed, in other - for example restaurant/bar-the days started. The front desk was already on the current conditions, the staff friendly. read more

    The rooms are newly renovated and clean. The standard in my opinion however not the brand Holiday Inn. At best Holiday Inn Express. The floor was a a plastic coating in dark with wood-effect panelling. The walls dark brown painted, without one picture. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower was from the room only through a rauchglasscheibe separated. Flat screen tv with enough channels, minibar, coffee maker and desk.

    The evaluation refers to the staff of the restaurant. Just below ground. Overstrained temporary workers in the restaurant, the occasionally even snotty are. For breakfast was not a table properly set. When i asked for a cup of asked i got the ones respectively annoyed staff members response: 'pronto'. The breakfast buffet was careless plunked down, tables not cleared, an employee made a upkeep.

    The building is located in the district of paradiso. In a few steps you were at the base of the san Salvatore mountain railway, to the lake with dock 'paradiso' it was only a few hundred metres. Bus stop with good connections to the city center in few steps to reach.

The hotel is very centrally located. This is however the only and point. The staff can only very little German, the breakfast buffet has a very small choice. The premises are not very clean, carpets very worn or stains on, wallpaper cracked. In a four star hotel one expects better. read more

Excrement Stains in the toilet, dried splash on the toilet seat, indefinable bit swam in the Klowasser!? Towels not white (clean ), hairs in the bath. Breakfast buffet. 2 cheeses, cold cuts and necatrines which fruits. Around 9 almost nothing more since, although it until 10 is. No cutlery to eat. The service it is only after 10 minutes on. Brought it then dried remainders on the fork!. Coffee you had to order, but already alone the sight of the fact, that choke. The hot chocolate was lukewarm/cold. Plates at the' buffet' partly had greasy lubrication marks by change from ... the washing-up Other guests sat still longer without cutlery respectively to the overburdened service came once. Had the criteria from the hotel only after the booking read, as it was only for 1 night was. Knew so what to expect. Everything negative what you read-met to! read more

The room was new! We were in the 6 floor and on the roof is located the air conditioning the, the whole night was so loud, that we hardly sleep. Furthermore are the window so bad, that you the noise from the street heard and the was as well the whole night. In the light of the 180,- Euro for the room paid is not only the unreasonableness, but the breakfast buffet was a disaster, really all from the can and the bucket, the eggs had looked like. I say it better not. There is almost no selection and ... the tables and chairs are with stains covered and everything looks like being in a dump. We were around 23,56 in the hotel and wanted the hotel hrs einuchen to price from 156,- Euro( even that is too expensive), but the good man at the front desk my, if the fax from hrs didn't arrive on time as it is, we would have 180 Euro pay, as came. The lady the next morning is the number of problem not at all eingeganngen and meant only to us.? Not understand. Where are we please! Simply only unfriendly and the guest opposite completely no matter. For us stands feast. No thank you never again! Unfortunately since we Holiday Inn only good experiences made. read more

    The room was general clean. Bathroom up to the bathtub, full stains and shower the lime crusty. It hardly came water. Carpet sharpened and old furniture. Air conditioning didn't work properly.

    It should until 10:00 o'clock breakfast give. Around 8. 45 hours was virtually empty everything and it was not ufgefüllt. There was lukewarm coffee. Only Baguette-rolls, no toast, no peak or other bread. Fruit from the can, cakes also not fresh anymore, very probably still from the vortag.

Contrary to the previous reviews personally, I thought the hotel was quite good. Admittedly, the building and the lobby are getting a bit old. The hotel and brush-up one fundamental renovation. Via the Internet we have however a good package (night inclusive breakfast) found. The breakfast buffet was very good quality. We had a good start into the day start. The hotel lies very centrally located. A bus station with easy access to the train station is located in the immediate area the hotel. The suburban trainExit point Paradiso is located a bit further away, is however also easily reachable ... on foot. The room was nice furnished. We had a good view. Around the hotel there are lots of construction works. But after at the weekend there had, there was no construction noise. the lake is also 10 minute walk in reachable. On the roof there is a swimming pool, not especially attractive works. However is worthwhile the way to the roof area. The view is worth it! all in all because of the good price performance ratio (last minute offer) thoroughly recommended. read more

We were thank God it was only for one night. Couldn't sleep, since it was very loud and noisy, so that one could use the neighbors at the sex had to listen. The breakfast wasn't good at all. The rolls tasted damp, the butter was soaked in water. (Never again) read more

The hotel looks from the outside a bit run-down, the front desk is stark and a bit dingy. It smells after chlorine throughout the hotel. The lifts are small. The rooms are dark, rather small and the carpet didn't look very clean. As well as the curtains. The view of a construction site is not exhilarating, as well as the noise not, the windows are not sound proof. The rooms are relatively loud, the phone in the hallway you can hear from the rooms. The bathroom is small and not clean. There was no soap, etc. only one set of ... towels. The breakfast buffet is poor, the restaurant small, we had to have breakfast in the secondary room in the bar.HCLFHLBad Price/Performance Ratio. read more

Rooms are old, small and not impressive at all. Could be more inviting. Looked more like a motel room. Location of the Hotel is not bad, it is well connected by public transport. Breakfast was decent but flies were flying around. Staff was friendly. read more

Our expectations for a superior we had four stars hotel. When you enter the hotel, is a chlorine smell. The speaks for sanitary conditions in the pool (-2. Floor), but the smell in hotel lobby, elevator and stairwell is penetrating. It was not possible, from the fifth floor directly with the lift to go down. If the elevator comes from the bottom up, you have to first over the top (=. 6 floor) go. Kind of fun. The scrambled eggs at the breakfast was lukewarm, even if a new portion is depicted. The cake buffet is nicely done. The service ... staff was very nice. At the front desk, you won't be pleased. The hotel, that you have to take a bus (number 2) in five minutes from the train station in the hotel arrives. The hotel is five minutes from the vessel dock Paradiso away and the San Salvatore-it is only two minutes walk. The hotel also, now under construction on the walk and you are invested. read more

Who in the morning at seven o'clock from across the construction site would respectively be woken up by the construction site for final 08,15 rise would like to book this hotel. The breakfast buffet devoid of any basis and is also the lousy staff morale of the service. read more

The carpets, furniture, elevators are in aged condition and the swimming pool are not accessible. The hotel alerts customers with the following phrase: "stay away or you will be shot". In the bathroom there was only one towel and no shampoo nor soap. The parking, minibar and wifi internet is available at a steep cost. The hotel staff was not willing to change our room when we complained about construction noice just ... above our room: "the noice will stop at 5 p. m.". read more

The rooftop pool has 23 August in construction and cannot be used, it should be mentioned. (Between 7-10 o 'clock) at the breakfast before nine o' clock go, as otherwise there is a danger, that the buffet empty is removed. Staff friendly but busy at the breakfast. Location of the hotel and rooms were spotless. read more

Hotel The 70er-years, unfortunately not been renovated since then!HCLFHLThe lobby is not very inviting with old furniture and carpets.HCLFHLThe elevator was ancient, noise makes the terrified.HCLFHLThe rooms: firstly, a penetrating smell came to me (mix of modrigem, smoke, etc.). The furnishing is very dated and in desolate condition, carpet worn, damaged furniture, bathroom with tiles are damaged the. Windows are not sound-proofed, you hear every sound.HCLFHLThe restaurant was in the typical 70er style.HCLFHLSwimming pool and fitness in desolate condition, the gym has three or four ancient devices. a nightmare, there remains one rather unathletic!HCLFHLHCLFHLService: not ... very friendly (but okay).HCLFHLLocation: a little bit far away from the centre, but relatively close at the lake, okay.HCLFHLHCLFHLTotal detention that Switzerland is a disgrace seen this as four stars superior Hotel (official rating) accepted, I think that a maximum of three star (and this is only with much goodwill). The hotel staffs are very helpful. The rooms are clean and generally spacious, and can be easily access by public transport. Plus the hotel has an indoor pool and sauna if you want to relax. This is normally included in the price. It is a very good value for the money. read more

City hotel in the heart of Lugano, for a short stay perfectly adequate. Hotel is located on street with much traffic, in the room but it is in a closed room mostly quiet. Air conditioning very cool and badly adjustable. Under the beds you shouldn't look, you can easily discover the trash... For short get away without large demands adequate and highly recommended.HCLFHLPool was eherein small pond. read more

We spent two nights at the hotel. This hotel is a disgrace to the hotel building in Switzerland. I wonder, as this has been awarded four stars. The staff at the front desk was extremely rude. The balcony sliding room was dark and unwelcoming installed. Also the floor coverings throughout the hallway very dirty. The pool area on the roof would be a good story, as long as you take care and chat up the complex. The breakfast buffet was a joke, since the dishes were unlovingly prepared. The service was for a four stars superior hotel was insufficient. The ... staff at the breakfast service seems to understand the word 'tea' not. So instead we got coffee and tea.HCLFHLIn retrospect we can recommend this hotel to anyone. read more
