An outdated hotel, what mainly through its optimal location points.
The size of the rooms and the bathroom is in our opinion no 4 star level.
Furthermore, the the cleaning of the rooms and the bath to be desired. Here was not at all until very schlampig wiped.
And hairs and dirt on the floor in the bathroom were in a condition which we were not used to the wanted.
After we this violently reminded us it was also better.
However one must also emphasise, that the employees very friendly and tried, the wishes of the guests to fulfill. read more

By the amazing beach, the Gran Canaria certainly unique, and the staff's hospitality this hotel is definitely recommendable. Many the room in need of a thorough renovation and where, the already renovated, is partly very unprofessional work has been done, but it is at the latest by the view of the balconies already toned down. read more

Very nice, quiet hotel right next to the sea with a wide and clean sandy beach. Opposite the hotel there was a shopping and amusement park with many pubs, restaurants, spielbuden, car and fahradvermieter, etc. From here you can enjoy very good the island explore. A highlight is the coastal road in the west the island. Highly recommended a visit to the pitoresken port of Mogán. read more

The hotel didn't deserve 4 stars. It lives with the friendliness of the staff and the direct beach area. The food was absolutely disappointing. Especially fresh fruit and vegetables were a rarity. The was canteen \u263a the modernization of the bathroom was a joke, also no 4-star standard. Bed sheets was sometimes torn, the cleaning not always ok. In the hotel there were mostly german pensioners, the completely obvious regularly come here and accordingly were greeted. As you feel sometimes already somewhat strange. Altogether we but good. Nevertheless we will not book this hotel again. read more

This hotel is in desperate need of complete renovation. All is worn and old. The location is perfect right by the sea. There is a nice waterfront walkway to Playa del Ingles.
Our duplex suite was very bright and had a nice balcony with good sea views. However carpeted floors made it stuffy. The two toilets didn't flush properly and the shower had a very weak water pressure.
There was a wifi but it was slow and not free. The television was an old type small box. Also there was a historical non working audio system next to the uncomfortable ... sofa.
Upstairs was a bedroom with a very comfortable bed. We got fresh air by leaving the balcony door and bedroom window open overnight. The linen and towels were excellent.
The breakfast was satisfactory but we didn't like the dinner at all. Everything was tasteless and warm dishes were luke warm. read more

My one week stay at this hotel was great.
The hotel's location, directly on the beach is optimal. But you have to for the rooms on the ground floor only to get used to that, the sea view from the terrace also means, that the people from the promenade on the terrace future. The rooms were cleaned daily. The food was within this week very good and very varied. About the bar itself i cannot say anything, since i was not accommodated. However, i have never seen a ' cocktail machines' seen. read more

Stay: 05.-14.12.12
Booked: suite with half board over Neckermann
Hotel in general:
The hotel lies directly at promenade and sandy beaches. You can from the hotel to the
Faro from Meloneras walk. The direct access to the hotel is the promenade
Only with the room-chip card possible, which we find good.
Directly behind the hotel there is a business center with a supermarket, car rental,
Hairdresser, restaurants etc. So you are well looked after. We had a car already in germany, which in view of the immediate vicinity of two car rentals not necessary appears, since we ... do not daily drove. Good to know: parking near the hotel was about and/or be applicable. We have therefore approximately 150 meters from the hotel free parking.
The hotel offers daily except monday Entertainment for any taste to, which we however not used have, since we were gladly because of the kilometer-long beach.
The pool area is rather small in comparison to other resorts, the enormous pool landscapes have. But one is directly at the beach, what was more important to us.
Towels for the pool area you have to rent.
Rooms:
The suites are located on floor 8, with a direct view of the sea. They are in a maisonette style, that means living room + 'guest toilet' below, the sleeping area and bathroom and walk-in closet a stairway to the top. The furnishing was functional, with a fridge and a small tv, chairs on the balcony. The storage space for clothes was sufficiently however not sumptuous. The bathroom is through the design conditionally partly with deviation from pulse flatness, because at the top in the building.
Something to gene ffs have us the ' water dispenser ' the shower: a snap with time function, the temperature firm was adjusted, or not adjust left? We have it accepted, as the wassersparen should support and the principle of previous campingurlauben knew.
Would be an improvement, in the suites the carpet by tiles to replace, as it in the double rooms on the floors including the case.
Good to know: there is also below the level of pool and restaurant rooms, the character a granny flat have. The terrace is only through a glass panel of the public promenade separated. Who so no views at the sun like, should a room on the upper floors book.
Catering:
We had consciously booked half board, what with the lush buffets in the morning and in the evening was also completely enough. We were from the offer thrilled. Who finds here nothing, it is your own fault! It is really not listed everything:
Mornings fresh fruits, fruit salad, ham, sausage, cheese, fresh baked eggs and bacon, dark and light bread and bread rolls, small danish pastries etc. Only the coffee was often really very thin!
In the evening daily changing theme buffets in the main courses. Daily show cooking, partly
On the pool terrace. The vorspeisenbüfetts went from vegetables over shells and seafood to salads from leguminous vegetables etc. Etc. You should take some time, all dishes detection, even if busy at the buffet is.
We gladly and often seafood, mussels and freshly grilled seafood.
But also you carnivores can every evening a steak with french fries crickets leave.
And for vegetarians there was vegetables, pasta etc.
Furthermore cheese, fresh fruits, delicious desserts. Quite big compliment to the kitchen!
As mentioned: half board was completely enough for us, so that the clothes also still on the back matches. The beverage prices were okay, with 10-18€ per bottle of wine.
Liqueurs drinks we anyway not.
Service:
The service on the rooms was really good and the staff very friendly.
Towel change every 3 days, cleaning of housing and bathroom was good.
Also with the service at the reception, restaurant and bar were we really content.
Conclusion:
The hotel we can Don Gregory recommend, even if it not brand-new anymore is.
It is reasonable value for money. read more

Best beach location. Pool area a bit cramped seats stood. Between the beach and the pool area is missing a shower. Good bus service, but expensive parking. 300 meters away free car park.
Evening entertainment the age of the guests adjusted. Younger to go to the neighboring centre.
Rooms and food were okay. At the buffet a bit cramped. read more

The hotel lies at preferred location in San Agustin right next to the sea, circa 20-minute walk away from Maspalomas The 'almost' hotel's bay with a fine sandy beach is very nice for a stroll. The bank is flat and also for non-swimmers very suitable up to ones neck into the water to climb.
The medium-sized hotel (approximately 220 rooms) was mainly visited by older guests. To emphasize are the lots of regular guests from different european countries, which are already since more than 10 years a year until twice the 'Don Gregory' visit.
For breakfast, the lunch and dinner ... are rich-stocked and creative buffets are required. Additionally in kochcorner each fried eggs, omelets, respectively meat and fish freshly prepared. At the pool bar can simple snacks were consumed.
The hotel is in an attractive condition and the rooms, as well as the rooms and the hotel are very clean. The staff is very friendly and courteous.
We are in the Don Gregory for the 10. time and felt immediately again like at home. read more

Also after the renovation 2010 has not improved a lot. The bathrooms, hallways, stairways belong thoroughly renovated.
Despite two meetings during dinner line up and for a free table wait makes no fun. The quality of the dishes should significantly improved -the selection is large, but could barely tasted really good. read more

We were the 4. time there. The welcoming at the reception was great. We also got our preferred room. The hotel's location is unique. The staff are friendly ( a, two exceptions there were always). At certain times the staff is at the pool area understaffed. Despite all efforts of the service personnel, all orders not create ( no matter wether half board or all inclusive). The cleaning and changing the room are great. Because the hotel already somewhat older is, are constantly renovations carried out, it takes just, until everything is finished. The dinner is great. There is something ... to find. The choice was large-if you something to complain about has. In March we will check in again and enjoy. At the end a word to the entertainer: it makes its job very good. read more
