It is a three stars hotel. If i three stars beech, i can no 5 stars expect. The hotel is in a very good location. The tram is approximately 400 meters. The grand bazaar is approximately 800 meters easily accessible on foot.
Our room was small, clean and peaceful to the inner courtyard located. For a city break we need no suite. Room was cleaned daily well cleaned. The beds were all 2 days changed, the towels smelled very good. The breakfast was for three stars ok. There was toast, soup, sausage, cheese, eggs, pastries, jam, yoghurt and fruit (apples). ... The facilities and the pool we did not use, therefore no statement. read more

Very positive is the location. Very negative is the friendly staff. Smile is a foreign word, if you the front desk is see the employees demonstrative way. Cleanliness is good, size of the room and lots of other bathroom rather well. All together however ok, what more could you want from a three stars hotel in Turkey just don't expect. read more

The size of the room was adequate. The condition and the cleanliness was good. Only one negative: our room on the 3. floor was directly under a ventilar. The generated noise was at night very annoying. The breakfast was very rich and good. About the guest structure: there were a lot of different nationalities available. read more

Hotel in general:
The hotel is really okay, it is old, for the 80. years old, but the shows not.
The location is great, the rooms is enough, the people are nice, it's not spectacular, but for a short break really good!
My drivers Serhat it did not immediately found, the hotel is in the middle of aksaray, and in this corner there is still a lot of other hotels. The barin has several entrances and it turned out afterwards out, that we already times have passed, but eventually we noticed then two, at the same time, sign on and ... i could finally get off!-)
State of the hotel:
I noticed nothing on, which somehow renovation would be.
Everything clean and tidy.
The lift is not large not straight, however reasonable. If you don't mind walking, you are also the stairs quick in the lobby or in the breakfast room.
On the ground floor at the front desk there is a seating area, where you can drink something. Food i think not, i however also not further informed.
General cleanliness of the different areas: found nothing unusual. Cleaning was good, also in the room.
Location & surroundings:
Very good. We could over the station laleli reach everything good.
We have the jetonmatiks quickly understood and after a bit of searching the station found, to the we actually always investigated, from there to start the day. One of the next stops Sultan Ahmet. The grand bazaar we ran.
One evening are we to taksim risks, have explained us, where the bus -was under a bridge in the middle of a sales stand with 2031 children bicycles! ☺ we are then beautifully set off, without us busnr. And stop to remember, but we were helped immediately and the bicycles on the way back recognized, then quickly jumped out!-)
Bus: interesting! We have always chips bought and had no istanbulcard or sunday When we on the 1. day from ortaköy to taskim drove, we boarded, frugen 'ticket?' Driver: 'no, no.' Okay, we thought, very pleasant. We drive time with.
Few stops later, drivers' ticket, ticket. Go go!', did so'einem kiosk thrown out, we to ticket bought, again purely, further the drive! Haha! Then later learned, that you have to extra charged or einzelkarten must buy. Are then 2 time bus. Once we could from the driver and on the way back we are simply waved through has been.
As all the buses on taksim stop and starting and durchwuseln must, at his bus to find - an experience!
We are also with a ferry over to üsküdar-a normal transport and a small bosporus tour for 3 tl. And for me it was one of the most beautiful experiences on the pillows on the banks to sit, with cay and Istanbul to look!
All in all, our starting point was super, everything well.
Shopping possibilities in the area:
We thought there would be a lot, in aksaray there is also a lot! But the shops around the hotel were apparently on russian clientele laid out-there were plenty of furs and sunday. And many sellers, traders felt on russky addressed. But as we times with the S-Bahn zurückfuhren, we have plenty of cool shops discovered, amongst others u. s. polo assn.! Yippie! Had the only in the USA discovered, where i am almost broken bought-and i have in Istanbul a jeans found! Yippieh!
But istiklal caddesi (we are from taksim from straights which) is of course the einkaufsparadies ever: sephora, mavi (great!), cocoon-food, of course, we also found something-there were a Dürüm- and baklava break in a beautiful patisserie!
Transport links and excursion possibilities: see above-everything easy to reach, also on foot. Bazaar (grand and spice bazaar) we have on foot made, to the mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace (where we were included, wages itself really-alone simply because the views and relics exhibition-with the 'beards of the prophet' and the footprint of Mohammed amongst others ☺.
We had a break in the seven hills inserted - a restaurant with roof terrace-for me there was midye, mussels with raisins and were. Delicious!
In the cistern we were - also worth it and is cheap.
Restaurants & bars nearby: we were 2 times food directly at the hotel - the restaurant is very recommendable Diana, greek name, a spanish musician and atmosphere in Bodega in Spain, you can sit comfortably outside and there is delicious wine or efes and good turkish food. Köfte - great!
On the last evening we wanted not turkish and moved to the venezia restaurant gone, was sunday. Had 2 chicken dishes. Was okay. Wine was not done, however therefor sat also there a very nice musicians, the classic rock hits with the guitar played ☺
Service in the hotel there was nothing to moan, pleasant service in the breakfast room, at the front desk and on the luggage person was nice and we also a few the elevator in/out privileges and knew our room number already on day 1st but i had also (if i from the holding for breakfast locations ) the feeling, not so deadly lots of guests were there.
Some germans were still there, turkish and dutch, a couple was with us on the day of departure picked up.
Dining: breakfast was all right. However nothing more, bread selection was not so great and with these sesame-curl, the in Istanbul also on every corner to be sold, i can't so much begin, but for little something in the stomach to get in the morning it has enough, didn't like the large breakfasts.
However therefor, that i read, the breakfast was so great and rich and varied. Well, i can't confirm.
Sport, pool & entertainment:
There was a roof terrace with loungers, always wanted to high, but have not managed. Was always already dark, if we back to the hotel arrived and in the morning we had always forget. Pool there were not.
Rooms: small, but nice-in the room fit exactly the 2 beds a small closet, a small table, a tv-unfortunately we had only 2 german channels, vox and RTL II. But well, except for one evening where we gladly what looked at could have been, it was all the same.
Towels were always tidy changed, it was clean, bathroom was ok, shower and beds large enough - but it was very badly soundproofed.
Well, one was, that we should have a mosque directly (felt ) next to the hotel -5 hours 30 be awake was standard, evening honked and loud it on every corner, palaver, row, city stop. Sometime you is no longer.
And once a lady enjoys, as my friend showered and polite 'health' desired, because she thought i was! ☺ there was no balcony, safe, however not used.
Size of the bathroom as mentioned, with pappwänden equipped, but clean. Sink, shower, toilet! Allet since!
Tip: wlan gives it, one comes with the room number and inquired at the front desk a password. The staff speaks definitely english, partly also good german.
We could then first with a cell phone log in. Mmh. But then we had a 2. password get (to booked room), sometimes we are then because time out bumped (not that we three hour surfed have, sometimes it was already after a few minutes). It was a short phone call at reception necessary and it worked again. Bit of a hassle. But as soon as free wi-fi made available will, i am far away to moan. read more

Not recommendable for 2 reasons:
1. kata strophaler ' balcony' the not really be described as such should: the balcony is a larger utility closet! Overlooks a grid the backyard go. Otherwise you get constantly warm Essensluft to the face blown->' balcony' is unbenutztbar!
2. extr em noisy! You could not quiet night spend, because of the constant loud noise from the neighboring rooms was to be heard ( TV, Voices, etc.). Furthermore one had the feeling, that someone into the room stepped, if only a door in the hallway was closed! read more

For a short city break to recommend in any case one. The staff was at check-in (4 am) very friendly. The bell boys I gave some tips, but I wasn't there I got the impression that he was from.
The room was very clean and adequate for our short trip. The closet could have been a little bigger. Great was the in-room safe, which I didn't even 3-in many four star hotels in Germany had.
The sanitary would not hurt a renewal, but they were very clean. Unfortunately, as in many parts of Turkey, only low in the water, so ... the water does not so bad as us and subject to fluctuations. Good was the hair dryer in the bathroom. Hooks for the towels would have been very handy.
Conveniently located in a good location. A tram stop was very close. With the tram are almost all major attractions in the old town, quick and cheap (a 1.75 TL no matter how many stops) to reach. The Taxigeld you can save.
The breakfast was all in all okay. If you like sweets for breakfast was well served. The meaty things looked a little sketchy. unfortunately, there was no fresh juice.
I have three other languages in addition to German (no Turkish) speak, I had no confusion with the staff. As everywhere in Istanbul. There is enough (good day) from Merhaba can say.
All in all, we were very pleased with the hotel. I would definitely recommend for a short city break. read more

City Tour, Hotel perfectly adequate

For a city trip the hotel was completely sufficient. It is clean and that was the main thing, it is very centrally located you can walk to everything great. The system of tram is simple and easy cheap, only to get a seat is not so simple ☺ The rooms are indeed very small but you only use it to sleep, it was unfortunately very badly soundproofed. In the bathroom everything one needed was a shower, mirror, hair dryer, Wellness you can make at home. Air conditioning worked well, and good tv. The breakfast buffet is adequate it was cold ... cuts/cheese, fruit, sweet, hearty and two bread, coffee/tea, water and juice-is always there, but you'll be full and that counts. It should perhaps not everyone high expectations for the money.
The town is very Western, so many people from different countries to take is just worth seeing, the city is great. We will definitely go again. The hotel I would definately recommend! read more

For a city trip the hotel is perfectly adequate. The rooms are rather small, but clean and modern. Some rooms have a small balcony, which is very handy for smokers, as otherwise there is non smoking. Our room was facing the courtyard, so we had peace. The hotel is located in the middle of the old town on a shopping street, which at night wasn't very busy.
The staff was friendly. Some of the staff (at the front desk) speak English, but also using all the other you could communicate.
The breakfast was completely okay.
From the hotel one arrives ... within 5-10 minute walk to the nearby metro stops and from there to the support offered dike see the city.
Conclusion: The hotel I would not hesitate to re-book, as it for a city break completely sufficient. Good Price/Performance Ratio! Clean, friendly, good location!
Disappointed the city itself. But that was a matter of taste! read more
