The hotel superbly located, very clean and surrounded by absolutely beautiful with plants and sträuschern planted. Rooms are with a view of the sea and stylishly furnished. We had all included and were very satisfied. read more

    The rooms respectively studios with kitchenette are very spacious and with furniture. Air conditioning there was no, but a fan on the ceiling is always fresh air. Many rooms have a balcony with a view of the atlantic ocean. Each studio also has a telephone, tv, safe, coffee machine. The bathroom is with bath, shower and with hair dryer equipped. It daily the beds newly made and the studios perfectly cleaned.

    The hotel has a big restaurant and 2 bars. The food and drinks agree with the price-performance -proportion match. It daily fresh and varied dishes. Everything is freshly prepared and lovingly for the eye decorated. Also nationaltypical courts were offered. This will salads, fruit and vegetables, soup, cakes, cakes, ice and n. v. M. enough. With the cleanliness in the restaurant there was nothing to complain about. The atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are in buffet form offered.

    The pestana offers, access to the internet, wellness, massages, a fitness room, animation, shops and so on at. The pool is cleaned daily and controlled.     The beach is right next to hotel-however very stony. But that is not a problem, since mats are offered for the beach. Nearby are also shops or one can the free shuttle bus in front of the hotel all the 45 minutes hotel guests into town Funchal brings benefit. From there you can many excursions undertake. Good mittelklassenhotel; entire hotel and facilities not luxurious, but nicely done and in good condition; directly on the pebble beach ( praia formosa) location, about kilometers away from the city center funchals; room clean; with great view of the sea; with the food and the service we were always happy; hotel suitable for everyone; thereby mixed clientele from young to old; too many one hears french, spanish or portuguese; seltender German or English; highlight: from the room you can hear the waves sound and the pebbles crackle! read more

    The rooms were well equipped, large and clean; with ( silent) fan (that was good); a small kitchenette with a fridge is integrated, a large closet with a large mirror next to the bed, coffee table with chairs, a small tv, a small balcony with chairs and table with direct view over the vast sea; safe in the closet; the bathroom also typical of a hotel and colorful; on the whole room enough electrical outlets available. It was cleaned daily, there were also on demand always fresh towels -everything good!

    The staff were always friendly and efficient, whether at the clearing and wipe or when resetting the tables, so that one always a table (mostly in the outdoor area) found; no queues at the buffet; always a pleasant atmosphere, not noisy or too warm in the eating area. Especially great is the view of the see and evenings on the sunset during the meal! Breakfast selection: various rolls ( toaster at the nebentisch), bread, croissants, different marmelade, few types of cold cuts, muesli, great English breakfast, vending machines for water, fruit juices, coffee ( in many variations ), sometimes even sparkling wine. Lunch and especially evenings a relatively varied food; soup, salad buffet, daily fish and meat, as well as some warm side dishes in the daily change; diet food ( delicious fish usually without sauce and vegetables), dessert ( usually a bit of everything: cakes, pudding, ice, fruit in the daily/ half-hourly change). The offered drinks left hardly anything to be desired, since the bar almost the whole day was open and vending machines also always very quickly refilled, well maintained and clean! Really top! Red and white wine in decanters next to the buffet the choice, both probably no expensive wines, but nevertheless delicious.

    The front desk was approachable, even if not always in German, and really helpful; to criticize we had nothing  The hotel bus-plan is at the front desk from, also depends on this in the elevator ( very convenient!) The service staff in the area of food and at the bar are really fast and always friendly; for a long time wait must not. Room service (daily cleaning and towel-exchange) always reasonable.

    The fitness room is quite small, but everything is in good and above all usable condition: the treadmill, the two bikes and the stairmaster fulfilled its purpose, as well as is a gymnastikmatte available. Rather the men used the klimmzugstange, a dipstange, as well as a rückenstrecker with a large mirror opposite. Also a crunshbank is available. Particularly beautiful is also, that man/woman during the training directly on the pool / the sea looks. Also a wellness area with a sauna, turkish and massage ( only on appointment) there is; this area is small, but particularly the sauna is perfect for a small relaxation break. Entertainment in the hotel: daily evening events ( live music, parrot show, showtanz ): matter of taste, but not bad. Animation is not offered. The pool area is really great arranged and clean; actually always enough free chairs and sunscreens available; there are a nice whirlpool and some showers available; the water temperature in the pool is pleasant, there is always a pool-staff in sight, the way blank drinks clearing. All great so!

    From the beautifully laid out pool over 5-6 stairs (I have not counted ;-) in seconds at the beach: although it is only a pebble beach is (as on Madeira usual) with large to small rocks; some beach mats are from the hotel provided, as there are no chairs returns. The way into the water is without bathing shoe or flip-flops a bit of a hassle/uncomfortable and at high waves also not completely safe. Small tip: better you can bathe a few steps further to the right (in the best way on the road use). The way ( from the hotel at the water front along to the right) a good built away directly after camara de lobos ( about 30 minutes away on foot): this is a pretty small fishing village! A worth a visit in any case! From the hotel to the left closes a small elevated on, up to a good built tunnel, through the rocks leads: this is somewhat lit and about half one has a small viewpoint, where you on the water look-this tunnel is thus rather impressive than scary. Behind the tunnel is right sea water swimming pool and a restaurant -both nice and not expensive ( admission price sea water swimming pool 1.75 Euro). The other path leads to a great laid out promenade almost to into town to Funchal. One has always great flowers on the way to be seen and fantastic view of the sea! The city Funchal is free hotel bus-shuttle bus in 15 to 20 minutes really easy to reach. You can but also easy on the promenade go along, until after 40 to 60 minutes reached the city.

If you want a all-inclusive-carefree-package with tiny downsides ( yes, okay, the sun screen one must pay, so what!) would like to with very friendly staff, always well stocked and tasty buffet, daily pristine cleaned rooms and versatile offered for excursions in the area, is quite at the right address. I am alone and I was certainly not the target audience of the hotel. But my expectations it has more than sufficed and I can thoroughly and warmly recommend. The staff ( from the management to the maids) are themselves fairly trouble, and the result of this effort came with ... me prima to! You will find everywhere something to complain about, if you only afterwards searches. But I had no time afterwards to search, I was on vacation, and was not least thanks to the pestana bay hotels a wonderful. read more

It is a lovely hotel with a einervery well maintained complex, the view of the Atlantic is great, there were more people age 60 + and very a lot of French people, the very dominant were for the food and evenings, had the feeling as if whole bathroom were there, the German guests were in the minority, but the staff were very friendly, particularly the barkeeper. We had a week booked all inclusive. There were mostly guests the generation 60 + present. Nevertheless we have really good felt. The staff are very accommodating. The bar staff is sharpened. You the hotel can good as a starting point to the discovery the island take. The hotel offers a free bus service to Funchal. Drive but also Buses. The food is not outstanding but good edible. Who without children travels and no value animation and so on sets, is in this hotel really good repealed. read more

'- owing to its location, the hotel is unique Except all inclusive no possibility to visit this hotel (selection was some years ago still possible) Then the dishes also boring. - in the meantime one speaks also German - evenings entertainment with Schlagern from the 50- sixties -the charm the hotel is up to the hit - sauna very in need of renovation - pool very clean and tidy - audience 55 +, rather plus - garden area very well maintained -wireless only on the ground floor and only for 3 euros per hour, or 4.-/ hour at the ... hotel's own. Calculator, which is outmoded, as well as the ambience (cheapest plastic chairs at all balconies), no worth 4 stars! -the flowerage the island, the weather, the Spayiergaenge on the bay and along the Levadas entschaedigen Recommendation only conditionally. read more

The hotel earns no choice 4 star. Selection and food wasn't proportion, which a four-star hotel and should. The staff are friendly and friendly, otherwise an older hotel. 98% of the guests were older English and Danish. read more

    the staff are always friendly. German almost always understood. apart from that one gets ahead with English very well. the rooms were perfectly cleaned. towels daily, bed sheets frequently changed. For the beach chairs were daily beach towels offered. Wi-Fi or Wiki is extra to pay.

    To The black Rough flint beach is just a few meters (directly by the pool to get to). Who the peace and quiet loves, is in the right place here. Neither flight. even noise from the street disturb serenity. however whooshes day and night the surf... Bathing for children is because of the strong waves however too dangerous. Because of the strong pull should only experienced swimmers into the water go. Some hundred meters in the direction Camara de Lobos is the situation better. After Funchal and back sufficiently often a free shuttle bus- bus. great service!. on foot the Promenade to Funchal about a tunnel can be achieved( 10 minutes). town center also good possibilities for shopping

Have seldomly so uncomfortable in a hotel. The food was really bad. Drinks with half board very expensive. For example, I have been for a 0.1 l juice three euro will be charged. A beer cost three euros (on the beach Promenade 1.50 euro). read more

The hotel was already a bit has gotten old. The food was not very diversified. After three days you could predict, what is on offer. Fruit too little fresh. Except for the nanen and apples Bana there were almost only canned fruit. Even if you have a great view of the sea we could hardly sleep, since we didn't even have air conditioning is available. That should be the least in the 4 star hotel. At the pool you had to pay the parasol. The decoration of the room was not up to date the lamp didn't work and was ... also totally rusted and hanging from the cables of the pear. The ceiling fan was more than on stage 1 otherwise thought it comes from the ceiling. The hotel is especially popular in French and English. read more

A good hotel for older 60 + travelers, all rooms have a sea view 1OG from the, the beach is about 30-50m large Kiesselsteinen and is wide. A storm has about 2 years the Promenade noses, since there is no direct access to the beach you have to go to about 200m around the hotel to get directly to the sea/beach. read more

We were moved by the hotel Orca (a bay next door) Klaus in the Pestana bay. From other guests we have experienced, we were told that this happens very often, although the orca Klaus apparently room available. The reason the changes could we not get. I think, however, that the alternative was a good Pestana bay and something closer to the city. The Pestana bay is already something older vintage. The guests were mostly old (felt 60 +, British, russians, Germans). We had booked half-board. The food was repeated after a week, one should consider, if not enough is only ... breakfast and the other meals not in the area to take. Gym: available, with a great view on the pool. Nice holiday in a hotel with a pleasant atmosphere. Rather older guests Mostly from England and Germany. Convenient is the kitchenette in the room. Shuttle bus from the hotel 7x a day to the center of Funchal. It is about one and a half hours mostly at a promenade. The direct proximity is a plus for hikes. It has a beach along the hotel; flip flops are an advantage, because the beach of pebbles. read more
