After 2 hourly waiting time and only after repeated could ask the room be changed. The ladies at the reception reacted unfriendly and ungehaltenen. The room had no generally absolutely no leading standard which we otherwise worldwide are used. The size and furniture are maximally 4 stars. But really a disaster warning beds. One has on the box spring beds the toppers saved and on the bright mattresses be slept. The result is a sleepless night and solid Backache both with my wife, as well as with me. Unfortunately the next morning no contrary to come from the hotel. In ... short.

Once again, I spent a few days at the EDEN Roc. It is the same again and again! IT IS SIMPLY RIGHT EVERYTHING! The Spa Area: Fantastic. The food delicious... Especially in the La Brezza. I definitely know the world no perfect hotel! read more

We had a very pleasant stay at the EDEN Roc. From the warm and personalized welcome on the great food on the terrace of the restaurant La Casetta dream at the lake to the well-kept dinner with the perfect service at the EDEN Roc restaurant, everything was just right. The furnishing of the rooms equipped with classic North location seemed however, in comparison to the rest of the hotel a little spotty. read more

Warm welcome at the front desk with accompaniment to the room.
The staff was very friendly greeting the whole day.
The hotel is located in a quiet area right on the lake.
Well-kept garden, indoor/outdoor pool was pleasantly warm, large whirlpool 36 °C warm.
Sauna area, a little difficult to find since there are no 'Wegweser', with two saunas and a steam room. Chilled drinks in a sauna, and a fitness room are also available.
If you don't want to eat in the hotel has a large selection right on the promenade of Ascona, a three minute walk.
Breakfast choice ... was constantly refilled.
Only disturbed me the trash on the tables at the breakfast, I think that is not in a five stars hotel, even though there is no advertising medium, but neutral were white.
At the two bottles of mineral to leave there was and in a bag.

The stay at the EDEN Roc has us very fallen. The staff was extremely helpful and the five stars standard vollumfaenglisch been complied with. The hotel rules were in a folder clearly communicated. We have stayed there more often and it is 'on top '! The staff is super friendly and of course you get everything, what you want. Currently has 15 October 2009 the hotel closed, a new Spa area was being built. Opening is 01 April 2010. read more

We visit this hotel already for several years. The EDEN Roc hotel and purchases by owner of the neighboring hotels renovated and enhanced permanently extended. Daily change of flowers-Aran Shakespearean end are beautiful. read more

From the outside, this hotel is quite plain and modern, but inside it is warm and luxurious and one of its main selling points is its lakeside location with gardens and wonderful views. When we were there (mid week, late April) I would say that the there were more elderly guests, but also some younger couples and families. Very popular with guests from Germany with a smaller number of Brits and other Europeans when we were there. Very high standard of bedrooms (based on our room) and public rooms. Restaurants quite formal, but you can easily walk into Ascona for ... alternative cafes and restaurants if you want something lighter/less formal. read more

The Eden Roc has a lot going for it, particularly it's idyllic location on the shores of Lake Maggiore, without a road between the hotel and the lake front. It has lovely gardens 3 very good swimming pools, 2 restaurants and a magnificent bountiful breakfast.
Here comes the but, last year we stayed in Eden Roc 1 where the refurbishment of a 1970's building has been tongue in cheek by Carlo Rampazzi. To our minds it has been successful. it is very modern and I think quite chic and a little quirky.
This year we stayed in Eden Roc 2 ... which on the other hand seems to be in a 1990's timewarp with lovely suites and great lake views but in need of updating.
Everything here was first class and beautifully looked after but the headboards just look so old fashioned it all felt very puzzling. To make matters worse the outside of E R 2 is decorated to look like a Tuscan Villa and it just doesn't look or feel good.
Staff fall over themselves to look after you but the atmosphere is fairly formal.
The 2 buildings need to be drawn together somehow but don't let that put you off just make sure you know which style you prefer before you reserve. The website is very good so make your choice and enjoy it! read more
