We have for one night logged in, more is also not bearable. Although scenic beautiful location, the service and condition was a disaster. We had glittering mite in bed, vollgesch... Odd, no tv front desk, totally lousy food and so on... While the staff really good to go left, the bell boy = night guard played whistling pool, the rest of the staff looked in the lobby hbo, while in the guest rooms only noise on the telly came. Thanks to Fidel it was the locals at the expense of the tourists really good. read more

In january 2013 we were for 2 days on cayo sätia. The road to previous reviews have in any case improved. The entrance of the bridge to the hotel and from the hotel to the restaurant by the beach for cuban standards in good condition (crushed stone runway). We were with a normal car on the way and had no problem. For the safari i would offered Jeep highly recommend. For the 8 or 9 cuc per hour you have a familiar with the place driver, the to ask it brings, the one normally not find cannot. The complex itself ... is from the outside gorgeous. The bungalows have inside but already seen better days. I would say 'in need of renovation'. At the worst were the mosquitoes in the rooms. To the staff i can only negative comment. Especially with our dear friend Edgar, for the front desk, the bar and the service in the restaurant was responsible. On the day of departure he came on breakfast table with treuem hundeblick at, told me that it was very bad speaks english but that he inform me needs, that a tyre my car platt is. But it would be all not a problem, on the neighbouring farm could be repaired. This story from flat tire on cayo sätia i on the eve at the bar two german tourists told the i also on a bewertunsseite had read. On the next day i was caught. So is the staff so 10-20 cuc way. Moreover, i have the tire itself changed and my next station of cubacar check leave. It was only the valve easily rotated. At the end i would like to say, that we nevertheless liked a great deal. read more

On the island with a 8 kilometer car not befa hrende mud distance to the hotel. Car it must car at the island bridge park. The tourists were by Russian all-wheel trucks, which driveways had completely destroyed, the hotel moved. 8 kilometer mud and deep holes and high lane flow even put my big wheel Jeep problems. After 70 minutes for 8 kilometer I came only Vehicle in the hotel at. The room could only after 2 hours to open, as the castle was broken. Rooms and cupboard doors only with brute force to apply against open. For my child ... it was not possible. Lunch in the hotel not. One is forced to 7 kilometer away from this truck to drive covered seating area. Trucks price per hour. 5 the CUC. Primitive food costs 10 CUC, about 8 euros. Not return individually possible, will you picked up in the late afternoon. The air conditioning and the TV had to also to be fixed. The room walls are so thin, that the phone calls of neighbors perfect hear what is being said. The only thing, which has 4 stars, are prices. The toilet constantly humming. In the bathroom there were many tiles damaged. The curtains rod consisted of a tree branch. Who has category 4 star useless? read more

Room shabby. Safe against price. Undignified room before the check out. There is a precise control. My question is why: the guests would too much Items carry forward.

  • Gastronomy
    2.0

primitive food and way too expensive, only a very small selection and daily the same. As I many tours by Cuba did, I can see very well, since? The category 2 star appropriate.

Unfriendly staff. With all complaints only grinned. The complaints were only after repeated Get Certificate partly fixed. The doors were not repaired. Knowledge of German not at all available. The rooms were correct cleaned. On the path to the rooms was very much Tierkot, was the, presumably by a large settlement of a kind nutrias.

The location and the area are very nice, but all the paths are completely absentminded island and therefore is a private exploration the island with the magnificent wildlife hopeless. It is absolutely wanted, I was told by the locals. Around the island to explore, you are on a Jeep. The hour costs per person 9 CUC, about 7 euros. This is a beautiful for income the staff. Are the streets not repaired. I was refused unfriendly any information, where you can watch the animals. I should rent a jeep kindly, that means dann'Jeep safari '. I stayed here with my jeep a unforgettable Tour with parrots, antelopes, ostriches under other made

We were also with a rental car on the Cayo Saetia. The island with all the African animals is really beautiful. we have spent two nights in this hotel. The first night the only suite of the hotel. It was a huge room with a huge bathroom and a very large balcony with a wonderful view over the bay. The only downside was, that this room with snooker table a general area and the game noise at night were very disturbing. So are we in a standard bungalow moved, the big enough and functional furnishings was. Refrigerator, table, chairs, sofa ..., etc. we had bad luck with the weather and it unfortunately had rained a lot. It was almost a problem to leave, the island again, as the dirt slopes to a mud slope was, also the trucks traffic, so that the Deep groove have formed, the for a normal car were almost not more navigable. A trip into this hotel is but very worthwhile, if you prefer peace and nature. read more

In the context of a individually carried us through Cuba stayed here for two days/we have nights. Specifically we have headed for Cayo Saetia, as away from the tourist hustle and bustle of we the peace in this protected area and also have found. Nearby it is no restaurants or shopping. Only a partially dirt road leads to Cayo Saetia. So is the location for those perfect, the time on shopping or on bars and restaurants can do without. For the location and surroundings I'll own at this point six suns. The island is about 15 meters long by a ... bridge connected with the mainland. The hotel is not large and consists of single bungalows, bungalows and a main building. Here are the reception, the restaurant and a bar. A swimming pool is it not. The whole area is very well maintained, also in our single bungalow something plaster on the wall was missing. Otherwise the bungalow was with a TV, fridge, air conditioning, telephone and a bathroom with bathtub. The food was modest but sufficient. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a natural and human beach. In the water and on the reason to stones; these were but not bother us as it was quickly deep. The main beach of the island is about 15 minutes with the car in to reach. Fantastic! This is not large, but very beautiful beach but for a steep falls from; on the beach are rocks. The water is very deep and is very quiet, crystal clear and shimmers in many colors. We were the only guests. We were also in Varadero, St. Lucia, Ancon (Trinidad) and Playa at the beaches in santiago de Cuba-a beach was nicer than this on Cayo Saetia. Above the beach there is a restaurant, but due to a lack of guests only for drinks offered. Another highlight was the one offered by the hotel 'jeep Safari'. This took about 60 minutes and led partly in the speedy pace through the hinterland of the island. To see were Antilopen, buffalo, horses, pigs, zebras and other African species. These were imported into the 1980igern years after Cuba, for example the government officials could go on hunting. A few years ago, the island was declared a nature reserve, fortunately. More than two or three days on Cayo Saetia are but perfectly adequate. read more
