We stayed in this great oceanfront hotel features a beautiful, relaxing vacation spend. The hotel is no large klubanlage, the rooms are in the different wings of the hotel. The lobby and the bar area are open and very beautifully designed. We had booked all inclusive and we were very pleased, even if it somewhat bureaucratic formal and one despite all for the ordered drinks a receipt countersign had. It is true, that in the mini bar daily two bottles of water delivered get. But if you more bottles to have wanted, needed the only-free of charge-at the different bars ... to get! The hotel had a good mixed guest structure, but eastern european-apart from german, english, belgian-most of the time were in the majority. Negative nobody noticed, not for the food at the bars. There were younger, as well as older people among the guests. It prevailed a pleasant holiday atmosphere. read more

    We had a double room facing the garden, which is not newly renovated, but nevertheless very nice and clean was. We had the first stay a nice terrace with a couch, table and chairs. After returning from the trip we had a room on the 3. floor with a balcony also facing the garden. The rooms each had a double bed, a small seating area, kettle, cups, glasses and tea/coffee. There was a safe, the closets were sufficiently with storage space and hangers provided. The bathroom has a bath tub with a separate shower. Everything was cleaned daily. The air conditioning worked well. There was also additionally a ceiling fan.

    The hotel has a main restaurant, in which all meals were served. It is located on the 2. floor and is unfortunately not open. It had a nice, well air-conditioned view of the see. In the all-inclusive you had the beverages - except wine-it. We have often for dinner a bottle of wine ordered (circa 18 Euro). The food left nothing to be desired, so that also everyone found something after its taste find could. There was also a singalesisches buffet, which the domestic, but quite a sharp kitchen offered. Furthermore, there was for all inclusive-guests from 11:30 a. m. a small snackbüfett in the cafeteria, where you coffee and tea also in the afternoon could use it. At the pool bar you could from 10 o'clock drinks, fresh coconuts and smoothies to grab, but what you had to pay extra.

    We have already been at 9:00 o'clock on the day of arrival in the hotel arrived, the rooms however normally only from 12 o'clock available. Just a and uncomplicated check-in and a complimentary drink upon arrival we could but immediately our room relate. At the front desk partly speak german and some employees a few words of german. We liked the friendliness the hotel staff from front desk to the gardener was always with a smile hello. The service in the restaurant was very friendly and prudent, even without constant tips. The cleaning of the rooms was brilliant, every night the roomboy and the beds and took care of the mosquito repellent. After the return of our trip was the air conditioning our room not, but was corrected immediately.

    On the complex there was an entertainment program, which nice and in no way intrusive. water aerobics, yoga, Midget Golf by the garden. In the evening there was a small entertainment in the bar area - fire-eaters, schlangenbändiger, dancers and music discreet and entertaining. The beach was from the hotel a small fence separates, in which local women towels to purchase offered, whose men excursions or massages wanted to convey. You will immediately as a newcomer mind and addressed. It's not pushy and if one rejects friendly and certainly, you will also left alone. We had from home a viertägige tour and were glad about that. I am sure you can also book excursions, but exactly inform and the price just negotiate, to unpleasant experiences out of the way to go. We also had a day trip directly at the reception and were with the organization and the price-performance ratio very satisfied. The loungers, partly with fixed umbrellas, spreed in the beautifully landscaped gardens. For everyone there was daily new strandlagen and the pool service brought the mats the chairs. The beach is really very nice, the sand is orange and the sea glows in the sun turquoise. You can take long beach walks. Now and then we met a cow or free current dogs.

    The shuttle from the airport is quite long and racking. We arrived in the morning on the island and therefore, we had to us by the totally crazy 'rush' the way to the hotel trains, which struck 3 hours took. The hotel is directly at the beach in a small side street the main street, what you don't hear it, as well as the behind the hotel which line. In front of the hotel there are some shops and a few restaurants, which we due to our all-inclusive didn't test. Into town with a tuk tuk drive (about 5 minutes), which always in front of the hotel ready. There, there are a market and some shops, spectacular, but this is not. The hotel has a good location for excursions or as connection hotel for a round trip, which we 4 days have done.

    Renovated deluxe rooms (there is also unsanierte ) with flatscreen tv(Deutsche Welle). Room service was good, daily tea/coffee were replenished. Would be nice, if you the rooms sweep would, instead of only durchzufegen, curtains were for years not been washed...

    Unfortunately live music. Music every evening in the restaurant. Particularly the 'sri lanka-corner 'war our favorite, spicy but delicious. Very delicious is the fresh local fruit. There is something for everyone, who complains, is there wrong. One should not later than 20 hours to evening eat, because what was empty (especially salad, and cake buffet) was not refilled, safe due to the half board-guests, the mornings and evenings on supply (fr) ate.

    Arrived 6 am in the hotel, check-in from 13 o'clock possible. We would want to have breakfast, we would have on the final day didn't get any! Our room was ready, but we were able to for the immediate use (until 13 o'clock) 65 € pay... An isolence, we never experienced! Restaurant top, very considerate and courteous. In the lounge bar on the other hand, there is the slowest service the world. For about 20 in the evening present guests were 3 waiters available, but somehow were at the wrong place. Best one goes even at the bar, otherwise you had to wait forever. Don't understand why wine and lightgetränke were not included (beer and liquor, however without limits),although local lightgetränke returns. Impossible the zettelwirtschaft despite all inclusive. Each drinks will be noted and the guest signed. However, it no more than 2 with an order/person, then it will be complicated. And if one ordered for dads friends! If then please only on their room number. Otherwise the waiter -Boss and 'exclude' the bon! This is no joke.

The hotel is much after touring booked which i did. But this had not noticeably On the quality impact! Something is habituation needy that you the waiters in the restaurant Always reel they left almost a new service had. Since it is difficult for good Service grateful to show. The lots of russians there were a lot of little on, because they through the bank only had half board and not unpleasant suffer. For swimming at the beach we have to say the no matter wether Waves or not generally the red flag outside hung. Was probably rather meant for ... the man in the Watch tower savings or versicherungsrechtlich safe to go. In the 9 days Our presence it was anyhow so but everything went in the sea baden! read more

I really enjoyed the hotel, i thought it was in the reality even better than on the pictures on the internet. There are big great water landscapes and the complex is very generously designed. I had a brand new deluxe room with a terrace and sea view, which was very tastefully decorated. Wifi is not inclusive, but to book (for 7 days about 12 €). read more

    The deluxe -room was really nice and attractive. Everything was new. There was a fridge and a kettle (enough tea, coffee and milk powder were always available). The room was with air-conditioning and ceiling fan, the bathroom with hair dryer and bathtub.

    I had half board, which for me was completely enough. There was both morning, as well as in the evening a huge selection, so that guaranteed something for everyone is. Evenings there was always a buffet with singalesischen food, the then also somewhat sharper are. But also for all, the sharp kitchen not stand, there is a huge variety of dishes. Unfortunately we didn't the possibility, the food to sit outside, it could have been perfect, but it was all very open, so that you can still good to sit. In the evening there was in the food always live music, which i too rough felt, but that is a matter of taste... Flat water there were during dinner also with the half-board free of charge, one could but also everything else order. The prices for beverages are in the hotel not a lot cheaper than with us. You go directly in front of the hotel a drink, it costs only half and one comes always with locals in contact.

    The employees of the hotel are all exceptionally friendly. Upon arrival i was with a refreshing drink,, i could and everything was for me regulated, was a pleasant good start. With english you did there no problems, many can even a few phrases in german. The cleaning of the rooms cleaned daily and the towels are every day changed. Every evening, then again the room service, for the scale for the moskitostecker to change and the bed sheets. I had the beginning of problems with my safe (the also inclusive) and have always had the alarm, which then however immediately repaired. One tried to all wishes and is always very helpful.

    The hotel is around 2 to 3 hour away from airport (through the dense traffic takes a bit longer) and is located directly at the beach. Nearby the hotel, there is a few shops and kalutara can be reached in a few minutes comfortably and favorably with the tuk-tuk, which always enough outside the hotel are

At the tangerine could have a wonderful vacation spend! It is the open lobby in the Asian style and with small ponds. The rooms are very spacious and also asian Style furnished. In the garden, by a fence from the beach is circumscribed, there are many Palm trees. There and the pool are the chairs and screens distributed. Shade places are very desired! At the beach there are no chairs. The kitchen offers a wide selection, locals as well meals, the delicious taste, but often Case 'spicy' = sharp. In front of the hotel lots of tuk-tuk, or you can ... take excursions with the agencies. Also a Train station isn't far, the trains are but unlikely fully. In the town itself are some buddhist Temple, easily to be able to receive visits (shoes off!) And a variety of ge Schäften. Small restaurants are immediately at the hotel. read more

Our second visit in Sri Lanka was without any problems and therefore wonderful. The rainy weather the first week you can't the hotel impute. It isn't very large and the 'plug' accordingly small. Nevertheless there is nothing to criticize. Very well maintained facilities, very clean and although not on the newest conditions is constantly being cleaned, built, it was swept, cleaned and everything else done, so that the guests feel at home. We really done. The specific for international guests were largest part of russians, little German ( which all employees hard disliked) but it wasn't as strenuous like in ... other hotels the world. Very good food, pleasant service, very beautiful room, really competent staff, very courteous service from the drinks to the mosquito plugs! Thanks you all! We would gladly come again! read more

We have a absolute dream vacation at the tangerine beach! A wing of the hotel was during our stay renovated ( low season), but it was all so designed, that work not disturbing. Great food, great staff, great room, everything super! read more

Overall we were satisfied. The hotel is already a bit old you can see that but and nevertheless felt really good. The weather in September was not so great. Much rain. Had a day trip to Kandy with Ranga tours. The day trip was although it is very strenuous but also nice if you interest in land and people with our train trip from Colombo after Kandy you saw a lot of daily life unfortunately one is long. But that is normal in this country. Elephant riding was wonderful. There was a lot of begging in this country, but it ... was aware. And children candies from Germany. To the hotel: daily vegetables, rice, pasta, potatoes, salads, desserts. So normal food typical Sri Lanka food available. You will definitely sated but it is just normal rice, pasta etc. After 2 weeks not more really can see. You can not expect Saturday Night Fever or pizza. Men must during dinner wear long trousers dress code only evenings. And women must skirts etc. Only no short, knee-length pants are not allowed. In the hotel could in the evening more entertainment music etc. But it did not bother us. By the pool is also very little program. Is a club hotel-) I would stay there. Massage I not in the hotel tested but offered. I when Ranga tours the massages taken into account was very satisfied 1 hour circa 6 Euro. 1000 Rubin.-) small trains direction kalutara you will find right on the hotel and you can alone into town. Small trains from the hotel to the city center about 500 Rubin. Bile with the turtles is also recommendable. Over tip happy because everyone, whether room service, waiter, pool boy. etc. Best one is change in many 100 Rubin's then you can always fast tip forgive. 100 Rubin's about 60 cents. Little German. Rather Russians and English but barely disturbing. Oh in the evening always again the room service and defines the plug in the socket and attracts the curtains. read more

Small complex, but well maintained; we had booked all inclusive. Choice alcoholic beverages small. Wine of any type was not included, but vodka! Hardly any guests. We were the first week the only German, besides that russians, English and dutch. But all of them, except for exceptions very pleasant! read more

    Spacious, clean, but very humid! Our backpacks after 2 weeks was moldy... The is however especially in the rainy season probably not avoidable! We had view of the sea.

    Delicious food. Especially to mention was, that there were always an Sri Lanka-corner. Also employees and locals came partly to eat. Speaks possibly for the kitchen! Good choice, although the hotel maybe 1/3 was occupied! Now and then also weddings catered for.

    Staff were very friendly and willing to help. As always there were attentive and the other waiter. Sheikh -families were however always preferred. Do not speak was especially English. Doctor by us taken into account; reference and call was from the hotel reception; doctor was efficient, friendly and overpriced. Front desk and kitchen made even extra food, because I did not for breakfast could. And reported it by phone, although we not at all had ordered. Very accommodating!

    Pool was not large, but sufficient! Always clean. There were plenty chairs and covers! Beach was great. Unfortunately was swimming in the sea not possible, since the waves to stormy were. Minimum animation; no computer room; wi-fi against an extra charge By the pool there were many chipmunk and raben!

    Small complex, but well maintained; we had booked all inclusive. Choice alcoholic beverages small. Wine of any type was not included, but vodka! Hardly any guests. We were the first week the only German, besides that russians, English and dutch. But all of them, except for exceptions very pleasant!

Good three star hotel with ideal possibilities to relax. The lawn is generously designed, also by the pool there were some beach chairs, unfortunately almost everything early in the morning from the guests reserved. The food in buffet form was very diverse and there was something for every taste. Of course repeat itself the dishes but where it is not like that these days? We were three nights in the hotel and had not a renovated room, which was very dirty and worn out. After the complaint was promised to clean up everything, but not cleaned. Only when the tour operator the manager come and we all together the room fO had, was cleaned and the curtain renewed, because you could not touch without disgust. As an excuse a obstschale placed. After our five days round trip we got a renovated room, which so far also okay was. Unfortunately worked the air conditioning and the ceiling fan did not work properly. Furthermore the dining ... hall is an old, bad a mensa and the food nothing special. The staff were except for the people in the bar area right nice and friendly. If you a renovated room gets, I would the hotel but nevertheless highly recommend. There were many guests from Russia, which does not so really liked. read more

We had a very great vacation. Clear not everything was perfect! The hotel shows some of its age already somewhat, but wasn't't bad at all for us. The food is delicious, very lovingly and beautifully presented and was always refilled. You should not take the edge off. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good. The staff are always friendly, nice and always had a smile on their lips. The tour guide the individual agent should like to sell their tours of tourists. This can, however, also be very expensive. We have a snorkel tour on a so-called Smugglers on ... the beach and it was a great day. In other words, it is not all bad, they sell their tours on the beach at lower prices. We would recommend this hotel anytime again book. read more

The hotel is okay. The area was very beautiful. also currently the hotel is undergoing renovations. Our room was not renovated. However, it was okay. But it was enough for ten days 14 again. What is highly recommended, is the beach boy Tikka. We stayed with him and other guests on two excursions. It was very funny.
