The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, with a maid service daily. In fact the whole hotel is spotlessly clean.

The hotel dining room is spacious with lots of tables, always with fresh linen on. There was always a good selection of food to choose from, and the salad bar was fab! A nice touch was the after dinner ice cream cones, both day & night time.

The staff and management team work really hard to ensure that all guests that visit the Vela Hotel have a wonderful holiday, and will leave at the end of their visit vowing to return. I can honestly say that I for one will be returning. "See you in September Vela".

The pool area is fantastic, with a very large swimming pool, and separate kids pool. There are plenty of sunbeds, and even a separate garden area at the back of the pool, where you can lazy away the day under the palm trees if you prefer. There are poolside snacks served daily, which consisted of things like cheeseburgers,chips,hotdogs,pizzas and salad. The pool bar is manned by Marty who always provided service with a smile. The bar provides drinks from 11am -11pm. You need to try Marty's special cocktails (not part of the AI) but really cheap, and worth every penny!! The hotel is adjoined by a beautiful cafe bar (not part of the AI) but worth spending an evening in. Most evenings there will be entertainment (music concert) shown on a large projection screen. Enjoyed a few night's relaxing here!

Myself and my husband stayed at the Vela Hotel in July. The Hotel has undergone a massive refurbishment, both internally & externally, to an extremely high standard, under the new management.

The hotel is in a superb location, only a 5mins stroll to the beach, and 10-15mins bus ride from it's sister resort of Marmaris. There are several good bars/restaurants in close proximity to the hotel, should you fancy a night away from the hotel.

We stayed in a room with two single beds, the room was bright and clean with air conditioner, flat screen TV, small fridge, wardrobe, safe, telephone and a nice balcony with a small table and two chairs, the view was also great - amazing mountains and the sea. The bathroom was large and also cleaned daily.

The food in the hotel was tasty and fresh, a good selection of fresh salads, vegetables and side dishes, also nice desserts and ice-cream. As a main course there were different hot dishes for your choice. On our all inclusive basis we had soft drink and alcohol (red and white wine, beer, gin, vodka), tea and coffee were also included. The staff was well-trained and friendly. If you want to have dinner outside the hotel, there lots of restaurants around with different cuisine (traditional turkish, indian, italian etc.) and lots of pubs and bars.

The staff in the hotel are very professional and friendly, everyone speak foreign languages (English, Russian etc.) so we didn't have any language problems.

The hotel has a fabulous pool, very large with lots of sunbeds and showers, and also a small pool for kids. If you tired to be under the sun you can rest under the palm tree on the green garden having some drinks from pool bar. There is no entertainment in a hotel, but Icmeler has lots to offer. There is a Wi-Fi internet access in the lobby.

I went with a friend on all inclusive basis and I should say that the hotel surprised me in a good way, it's located in the center of Icmeler and is 5 min walk to the beach and all bars and restaurants. The hotel conditions are very high cause it's right after renovation, I could never say that it's a 3-star hotel, it definitely deserves more. People at the reception are very friendly and speak good English, so we didn't have any communication problems. Special thank to the guys from the bar, very professional and fun. My friend and I stayed in room with two single beds, it's was clean and nice with all necessary stuff for comfort staying, the room was cleaned daily. The swimming pool is quite large with lots of sunbeds, there is also a small pool for kids and a green garden where you can rest in a shadow under the palm tree and of course the pool bar with variety of drinks. And of course a big thanks to the management of the hotel, they have done a great job. They were spending most of the time in the hotel watching around, so everything was on a very high level, also they were very open, friendly and ready to help any time and made our stay in a hotel very comfortable and unforgettable. All in all I enjoyed my stay in Vela hotel and will definitely recommend it to those who is looking for great holidays for reasonable price. Next time I'm in Turkey I'll stay in Vela hotel for sure.

The hotel is located in Icmeler that is 95 km from the airport and 5 km from Marmaris, so it takes only 15 min to get there by dolmus bus, and the bus stop is just around the corner, or if you fancy taxi - the taxi office is opposite the hotel, but I should say that there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops in Icmeler so you can always choose a nice place to go in the evening. Also the hotel is 5 min walk to the beach where you'll be offered sunbeds and drinks. If you in for excursions there is an excursion desk opposite the hotel where you can get a booklet with everything that is offered.

We were given a lovely bright and airy room on the ground floor. The room had one double bed and one single, a desk and stool and a good size wardrobe. The balcony was a good size with two chairs and a small table.The room also had bedside tables and a mini fridge and of course flat screen tv. It was kept spotlessly clean by the maid on a daily basis. The bathroom was large and extremely clean and it had a very powerful shower!

Breakfast consisted of eggs, bread, ,yoghurt, jams honey, salad, fruit and cereals. All very tasty and fresh. Lunch consisted of lots of yummy turkish bread, soup, two hot dishes (chicken, meatballs etc) plus rice, potatoes, veggies and a huge selection of lovely yummy freshly prepared salads. There was also a lovely selection of puddings and icecream and water melon. All the restaurant staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Tables were cleared quickly and effeciently. Dinner, well to be honest we didn't use the restaurant for our evening meal. We didn't pay much for our holiday and we always like to visit our favourite restaurants in Icmeler and then return to the pool bar for drinks late in the evening. But the hotel restaurant was always busy and I did not hear one complaint about the food. The pool bar is lovely. M. the bar manager is fabulous and makes everyone feel very welcome and at home. He really looked after usI. He is a great character and extremely hard working. I really don't know how he stays so cheerfull, especially as he works extremly hard and some of the guests were rather rude and ill mannered towards him. M. makes the most fabulous cocktails! Be warned, they are strong and not part of the all inclusive price, but they are worth every lira! All inclusive drinks consisted of the usual soft drinks cola, sprite etc plus beer, vodka, gin, white wine, red wine, raki and of course tea and coffee.

All of the staff were extremely helpfull and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated with the utmost respect.

The pool is very large but does not have a shallow end, but there is a small childrens pool. There is a nice garden surrounding the pool and plenty of sunbeds and of course the pool bar. Entertainment is not provided, but there are plenty of lively places in Icmeler to go to and drinks are very cheap.

We stayed on an All inclusive basis. Small, clean and friendly hotel consisting of 98 rooms. It is in the centre of Icmeler in a prime location and within in easy reach of the many bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel has recently under gone a full refurbishment by the new management (C. and U.) and is to be honest an absolute gem of a hotel. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious and well equipped and the maid cleans daily. I can honestly say that U. and and his business partner C. have an absolutley lovely hotel. They were always at the hotel overseeing the running of the hotel and of an evening they would sit in the pool bar chatting to the guests. They are fantastic hosts. and I can honestly say that although I arrived at the hotel as a guest, I left feeling a friend. I absolutely loved my stay at The V. hotel and will definatly be going back. So a very big thankyou to M., U. and C. for making our holiday so relaxing and rather wonderful.

The location was very good, right in the centre of town (next to the taxi rank). It is surrounded by some fabulous restaurants and bars and shops it is only aprox 300 metres from the beach.
