Really big hotel, already getting old.
Wireless internet in the hotel is liable to pay the costs, is however in the area as the Times Square or Starbucks etc. Free.
We ate out.
Lift was sometimes a bit annoying, since simply lots of people at the same time on the way were. read more

Over this hotel does not exist much positive to say. Only the friendly service from the doorman to receptionist brought and the central location directly on the Time Square are worth mentioning.
The hotel is totally out of date and the rooms are the price not worth it. They are small and the infrastructure date estimate was from the 50. Or 60. Years. The hygiene is just enough. The bathroom is very small and maximum for one person adequate. The service the taps has it all. Either cold or hot. The appropriations to find not at all that just.
The ... available hair dryer in the bathroom was moldy and gross.
In short: no paradise to stay a while. Once and never again read more

The view into the lobby gives a beautiful overall impression, on closer look is however a renovation necessary. Everything is the old, but nevertheless clean. However smells very musty. Maybe it was because of the weather, it was totally humid.

Good hotel in the heart of new york. Just a few strides until to Times Square. Great location to explore New York.
The hotel room was large enough, and very clean.
The service from the staff was spick-and-span.
We had a little problems with our flight due to a storm it was deleted.
The hotel staff has helped us another flight to get.
And we could one night longer stay (which was cheaper than what we Germany from paid).
We are in Newark landed and from the Newark airport express which a super solution was there the bus only approximately ... 200 meters from the hotel held. read more

The only complaint: the costs for Wi-Fi (24 hours for 10$ ). Wi-Fi should be free! Next door was Starbucks where it actually is free! Location is good, rooms are small, quiet, clean and have everything one needs. the Hotel can be recommended. read more

I was already 4 times in NY, it was the worst hotel ( all on TQ ).
It was very loud, not because of the noise (the in the location from Manhattan used to) rather because of the noisy street air conditioning. This must be then definitely immediately complain and a room in another part give.
There is better hotels these great location and cheap ( Best Western President for example)
The rooms are relatively large (at least our room was it ) the bathroom is clean. It smelled a bit musty smell and the carpet, well without shoes I ... wanted as definitely not walk. Well one is only for sleeping since, that's why. The bed was good.
To the service is not lots to say, you are in NY not used to something else. It is stop a mass tourism location and so you are treated: you come not again-someone else. But it is not necessarily at. Check-in and from into the city =)
Nevertheless recommend I further why?
Because it is cheap and a great location and the other hotels the price war really sometimes exaggerate, somewhat competition offers. read more

Great location. Directly on the Times Square in the 47. West street, next to the wireless hotel. Broadway theater and shops are all directly at the hotel. Macy's is approximately 30 minutes on foot. Rockefeller Center about 10 minutes on foot. Empire State building about 30 minutes on foot. Everything was great nearby and right on the Times Square a stop for the hop-on-hop-off bus. We have 3 days long a tour booked included entry the empire State building and the ferry to Statue of Liberty. This would be unnecessary, since the normal Ferry is free and you then simply ... not off and the Staten Island could see. read more

I was now already the second time in the hotel Edison. I will only book this hotel. The location is perfect, directly at Times Square. Nevertheless it is in the rooms not noisy :-) staff are very friendly, extremely clean, always new towels! Simply the perfect hotel around Manhattan to see and do! read more

Room functional decorated and clean. Hotel in a perfect location, right on the Times Square, not far from bubba gump, Hard Rock Café and the m&m store. For an excursion in nyc definitely recommendable. read more

I would recommend to everyone, the travel to new York, that Edison to book. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. When you the hotel out, one are located quasi in the middle of Times Square. In new York is always something going on. It is never boring.
The room was clean and maintained. The furniture is not the latest, however they are nevertheless nice.
The staff are great nice and helpful.
New York is a city, which one must have seen :-) read more

The hotel is for the price okay. A bit old and worn, but in this location in NY you get anything cheaper, as long as you are not in a hostel would like to. The room was cleaned daily towels and sheets changed. The room was really very small, exactly like the bathroom.
Only Downside, we had our window in the backyard, where it was very loud because of the air ventilations. Tip: take earplugs! Furthermore, there is no safe in the room, probes only at the front desk and there you can really only money and jewelry. No large ... camera, a iPad or a notebook.
Starbucks and subway station are equal around the corner!
The staff were not so friendly.
For tourists without many requirements and a budget completely okay. read more

We can't say anything negative about the hotel. It has no 5 minutes lasted, then we were checked in. It was also not so much going on, because the January were there. I think in the summer will the hotel full of his. The room was good, there was nothing to moan about. Bathroom and toilet were every day cleaned, there was every day new towels. We had a room in the 10 floor and out to the backyard. Whether that is now a quieter noise level is as to the street out, I can't say, since there are always ... a certain volume in new York. Whether during the day or at night. Breakfast or food we didn't in the hotel made, although there was a café, but in new Yokr there are so many possibilities.

For our city trip the room ideal. It was small and comfortable the bathroom was very small. It is always in the case of the beholder. Would recommend this hotel for a city break again at any time the café Edison offers book breakfast, lunch and dinner. The former and the latter we gladly. Furthermore, you can in the ' rum pants' a cool drink in a cozy, part of live piano entertainment as eter, atmosphere. The hotel lies right in the middle of Times square. Very much easy to reach on foot. Bus tours from there. All available at ... the hotel. Likewise 'limo service'. There were fresh towels every day. All very helpful and the doormen. Opened always with a smile. All in all, we were quite satisfied with the hotel of course there better. But for our purposes absolutely sufficient. We were 5 days Christmas shopping in New York experience and there are in my opinion no better Base than the Edison. The hotel lies really is located right on the Timesquare, you can walk out the door runs twenty meters and is located in the vibrant heart of new York's. About one hundred meters next to the hotel is the hard rock cafe and eternally many shopping possibilities. Opposite is McDonalds and Starbucks but also very many other places. 50 meters path is just a underground station where you 2,50 dollars everywhere can go. 15 minutes to ground ... zero and China town for example. The Central Park is 15 minutes away on foot to reach. The location of this hotel is truly not with money pay it is located on Broadway where you evenings good entertainment. Also Rockefeller center, and the Empire State building are within easy walking distance. I would mediaeval muehlhausen as anytime again this hotel book. It is clean and for sleeping completely sufficient. read more
