The hotel carlruh in Braunlage is a family-run hotel with very friendly and competent staff. We are a circa 20-member joint group of parents (45-70 years), for over 15 years with their children (now all in our mid 20) every january a winter weekend in harz spends. Is the group of the football team of our sons, which are all in the 'disposable-league' have met. The back swept. We did not regret it! The hotel carsruh is for our group as created-by the size and the number of the room it is barely, that our traditional resin weekends the whole house to ourselves book. The building is aufwändig reconditioned, all rooms have shower/toilet and there is a cosy lounge with fireplace and a view of the garden. We had booked half board and were extremely happy with the quality and richness of supply. Some of us have lots of hotel experience by their profession and said in unison, the breakfast whether the large houses the renowned chains at least match-everything fresh, large variety, tasty and plentiful. The same applied for the dinner, that we got. Speaking of business: so is the office at the weekend don't forget and as you know the free wi-fi in the hotel to appreciate. Spacious double room, renovated with good furniture and tv. All rooms balconies are featured in guestrooms. A large holiday apartment in the house has a chic small kitchen and plenty of space for a small group or family with children. The bathrooms are clean (newly renovated) and functional.

The breakfast in the hotel carlruh could-as mentioned above-with larger houses fairs. The dinner, the we got, was delicious and plentiful. No award-winning cuisine-for ' frills' we are anyway-but not a solid, simple food, as far as we feel that, with the short stay comment. Anyway, we liked it very much. To each meal there was fresh salad as a starter and a dessert.

On the love people, the the hotel carlsruhe and work there, there were only good things to say about it. Very friendly (we of ' harzern' with its known austere charm already experienced differently...) , without working thereby importunately. The guest or in our case the group-were very friendly receive, the staff was attentive and always our beneficial endeavors. The fremdsprachenkenntnisse of the staff we didn't need to use, although we know, that the host (prof. Koebe ) due to its vita perfect speaks english. A marvellous experience made a member of our group, the long on the cross-country skiing at the weekend happy, and then with much pain in the (hotel-) bed. A doctor bauchte not be called, because the yes was!

We were for winter sport arrived, and it is the offer in the village of festivity. The rathausberg (alpine skiing ) is only 5 minutes away by foot, below in Braunlage is the big ice rink for ice skating, cross-country skiing tracks are it in around Braunlage plentiful and there is a swimming pool in the village (the hotel itself has no pool we didn't miss). There is a sauna outside in the garden, the on demand which-as you can really like in Finland directly from the heat in the snow. It is a beautiful garden with a terrace and lawn chairs available, but the january we could the not at all enjoy (in -12°c).

The Hotel Carlsruh is located in Braunlage above the center - very nice and peacefully located and only a few minutes from the center braunlages away. In Braunlage itself you all leisure, or as in our case, winter sports in front of the door. If you have a further upward would: köingskrug and-region torfhaus are only a few minutes away with the car. As a group we naturally in the evening the lounge of the hotel use it, but if you ' on the slope gehen' would like to, finds also here an offer in the place. Restaurants and bars were plentiful in a tourist town as Braunlage, and the catering (in ferienwohnungen), you can relax with the famous supermarket chains or the local grocery stores stock up.
