Hotel Myconian Kohili & Kalypso^{(0 stars)}

The rooms are certainly clean. The hotel prior to our arrival assured that the rooms look like on the internet. Unfortunately this was not the case at all. The shower has a curtain is us is tight. Minor floods in bathroom are no rarity. The rooms are fairly basic furnished. Some of the furnishings were a bit dated. We had a great sea views and from our balcony we could see the sunset every night.

The hotel has a restaurant and bar, which all day in operation. Breakfast is bread, cakes, meat, cheese, different juices, but unfortunately no fresh fruits. Coffee is served in the rooms. Lunch and supper one could order hot food. Is tasty but not cheap. It was more worth it to go out on the town or at the nearby restaurant! For an evening drink is the bar but very nice.

We were served in English or German. Generally, the staff very friendly.

The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed and informal. No activities. salt water pool with lots of chlorine is available. There is a small spa. For children the hotel would not suitable.

The hotel is clean and well maintained. The grounds are modern, nice and has a certain charm. We are no noteworthy flaws noticed. The hotel is very, very thin walls.

The hotel was a bit raised and Mykonos, about 15 minutes walk from the city center. The transfer from/to the airport is on request from the hotel (free) organized. Just down the street there is a bus stop. From there, there is easy access to most beaches in Mykonos.

Our room was not very big, but perfectly adequate. It had a small terrace with a magnificent view of the sea and on the front of the building, so we had no direct neighbors. For the scooters parked directly from our terrace the Hoteljugend and of the staff, so before our eyes constantly movement was; day and night ... Other guests want some reckoned since their rooms were relatively tight and/or had not great sea view. The furniture was basic but had a certain 50 's charm, similar Spanish or Italian hotel rooms. A TV was one of the ceiling; so, he didn't square. Effective air conditioning! Safe in the closet. Everything was clean and tidy, pleasant tiled floors, very cold.

The breakfast offer concerning the dishes, was Really lousy, but that seems to be dependent on in Mykonos or even in Greece(? ) Everywhere to be no yummy breakfast sandwiches; you know obviously or other delicious pastries, and also no tasty sausage and cheese, not to mention other goodies, elsewhere in comparable we had made standard. Fresh fruit? none ... We were welcomed by the soothing beautiful, large, also activities breakfast room, some with sea views, and especially the great staff, the can not do enough for all guests were being looked after and the old toast and Graubrotscheiben forget. It was always served later in the pool, and it was really good at night when the same staff as in the morning in an excellent manner on the terrace by the illuminated pool tasty Greek cuisine and cool Greek beer served. Small cozy cocktail bar till about 1 hours.

The staff was pure Greek, all young, personable, charming. Some spoke German, but usually English. for the occasional defense bugs (room on the ground floor) they gave us an effective spray.

There is a small but fine pool with a jacuzzi. There it was pleasantly quiet. There are rooms with a jacuzzi on the balcony. A not too small fitness room was never visited, but available. In one of the sister-grounds there was also wellness (massage? ), But we didn't use.

The property consists of several hotels, the are within sight are each other. Each installation consists of several small buildings. Our room had a view of the sea, like about half of the rooms, and was part of a rather NESTED building with an outdoor courtyard. The grounds are above the town and bus station "1", about 15 minutes. There is not a sidewalk, so you are on the Street Parking on a busy road and always nice steep uphill walk ... Everything was modern and clean but not completely new, but perfectly OK. Breakfast was included; there was something to eat the whole day, which is a big Show on a terrace by the pool. Mixed guest structure; as everywhere and are always on Mykonos meet other young and very young people from other countries here, to party. Stayed a week from our 2 weeks in the surrounding rooms such young people from Italy, the noise in the early evening, later with your mopeds noisy that knatterten and early in the morning, still full of energy, from the clubs on the beach back geknattert arrived. It didn't bother us;.

There's 2 suns decrease due to the long walking on a rather ugly, of exhaust gas smelly street as above at "The hotel generally" already described. There are a choice of several beaches, the you, if you are not car or scooter is, well stocked with buses and/or boats. The furthest beach is called Elia" and "2 " is from the bus station to reach found at the other end of the town near the water, it took 25 minutes or from other beaches a boat (you should at least once). The airport is by taxi in approximately 20 minutes, a set menu with luggage and tips about 7 Euro. be packaged anyway brought in/out privileges. Mykonos than city is a dream!!! A lot of narrow streets lined with small shops and countless restaurants (our tip: "Fato a Mano"). The tourists were international and beautiful to look at; all neat dressed! In the city, this is always interesting, also during the day and late into the night. You can party in bars on the sea and on the doorstep always cool off the wind. Or in the clubs in the city or big party-events on the beach. A few meters below the hotel was a kiosk where you get soft drinks and all kinds of treats.
