Actually as always when Iberostar no big gamble to stay there again. We got a cozy room with a view of the sea in hotel Varadero. Also the providing with büchsengetränken as beer and Cola, as well as a small bottle of rum worked perfectly. For dinner good choice of meals and drinks, only the house wine was a disappointment. Unfortunately worked the night only in the 1. attempt. When we after our return from santiago again wanted to stay, was the building almost fully booked. Only a room in the main building, that however not at all liked, stood ... still available. So if you want to play it safe, you should have at home all nights. read more

After a 8-day round trip we have a 12-day beach vacation made. After we round trip some other hotels visited, we had a good comparison. The Iberostar was with large by far the best hotel. read more

Ideal for for little money after a strenuous Backpacking tour of Cuba a couple of days chill out. Based on the price it is very good value for money of the hotel absolutely okay, if not even top! The hotel and Cayo Guillermo really offer beautiful beaches. The hotel / rooms were very clean. The food consists mainly of the buffet restaurant, with no top-meal to expect can, but actually always something delicious finds. International audience with many English / Canadians, altogether very bearable. Excursions from the hotel are very limited and departure crazy expensive as the taxi driver of ... the hotel the bad possibilities the departure (taxi only) freezing exploits and tourists being ripped off. The US at the end unfortunately good nerves cost. read more

We were at the end our good here. It is reasonable value for money and we felt at ease. The choice of food is OK. There are two Grills, where you fish and meat freshly prepared. I have always found something good to eat. There was also always fresh fruits ( Pineapple, papaya, mango) very, very good. At the beach there is a lunch -restaurant the lunch itself burgers make can. This I found delicious. Is friendly the staff to, they are also all very friendly, even without tip! The beach is beautiful, however definitely to the Playa Pilar drive! ... It daily several buses (or with the taxi) there. It is a real dream beach! Personally, I would not only vacation in the hotel make. The country is so nice, it must be seen. Trinidad and the Vinales valley have us best fallen. read more

If you in Cuba have a vacation want, then in Varadero or Havanna. The transfer to the hotel is approximately 7 hours from holguin from. The streets are a catastrophe. The food leaves much to be desired read more

Due to the last negative reviews in relation to the rooms have we arrived already prepared-were then however more than positive surprised. The rooms are of course not new but nevertheless very big and beautiful and everything works! I can all the naggers not understand. The rooms are clean and it is everything there that you need! The staff are very friendly. The beach is super. Unfortunately is the food not very varied etc. But you're on Cuba. The arrival is a bit complicated from Germany but it is in any case value! We had (despite the rainy season) ingenious ... weather, little hotel guests - just amazing. Especially Playa Pilar. I can especially if you the value for money look at absolutely recommend! read more

The hotel is split on a main building and several 2-storey side building. The whole complex constantly maintained and cleaned, so that also clean freaks very be comfortable should. There are several shops in the hotel (also a hairdresser), in which one cigars, cigarettes, rum, clothes and souvenirs to buy can. The prices are absolutely ok, not more expensive than for example in Havanna (rum and cigarettes cost everywhere in the country so much). The audience there is first of all from canadians, as Cayo Coco from Toronto directly in 3 hours cruise terminals (envy!). Apart from that we also ... saw argentine and english. German there was only little, since it for german very inconvenient, on the islands to come. There were all age groups represented. Altogether was the audience quite pleasant. On the negative side, that there is no comfortable beach bar there, what i expect from my other holidays knows ago. Reasonably comfortable is only the bar in the lobby and is about 100 meters away from the beach. read more

    We had a room at the extremely edge the hotel. The rooms are big enough, nicely furnished and very clean. The air conditioning very good regulated, so that you at night not blown at, and the female birds at night as well not freeze must \u263a. The beds are very wide and comfortable, the rooms are acoustically well insulated, so that quiet sleep is guaranteed.

    The food was good and the selection was relatively large, with many side dishes and meat-/fish dishes with the time repeat. But for a 4 star hotel quite appropriately. Should be emphasized at the buffet fresh maker fish and meat. Delicious. Vegetarians should be here not starve. For breakfast is to mention, that the coffee is so bad, that one's appetite can (a kaffeebohne was here by hot water levels and the for 100 guests). The choice of the drinks at the bar was average, the quality rather moderate, since mostly artificial flavours were used. Only the Mojito with fresh mint prepared. The beer (bucanero) was for my taste drinkable. The coffee as almost everywhere in Cuba too bitter and usually too thin. The cuban Cola (for Cuba Libre) did not taste and was way too sweet. I usually 7-year-old Havanna Club relaxation with ice drunk, as you can't do much wrong. From and to a Mojito.

    First a comment on some of the reviews here. It is often written, that the staff rude and that without permanently tip to give nothing gets. That is total nonsense. Initially: you can always get the back, which conveys. Has one friendliness from, you get these also back. This is my experience. The staff were always extremely nice and helpful even without tip to give. We have however also always said hello and with the staff spoken. And on top of that great service 1 or a few cuc give a tip is normal and does not hurt. The bar service: there is a lot written about. It is true, that the drinks rather mediocre. But if you the barkeeper friendly says, as the drink to have wants, Mojito for example not with cheap rum, but with Havanna Club, then gets him so, without bribery. And the is then also quite drinkable. The beach-service: sometimes you get at the beach even served, if you want it, we have the however not taken into account (were usually somewhere at the beach on the way). For the guests before plastic coconuts to protect, be every day maturity koskosnüsse of the palm trees in/out privileges and as we were with the two gardeners, the hotel, great to have understood, we got every day at the beach a koskosnuss to drink and a (mature ) to eat, garnished with pretty flowers, a great service i think. Loungers and shade at the beach were abundant, whereby, lots of guests already early in the morning their seats with towels had reserved, a unsitte, the but unfortunately everywhere there is. The room-service: very pleasant and thoroughly, there was absolutely no reason for beanstungen. Service at the front desk: here we have unfortunately partly bad experiences made. Especially the ladies were very rude, made a annoyed impression and were not able with the guests to deal properly. One or another women has probably here the wrong profession. We have but also the superadvisor said, because only in this way can a bit better. That was but also the only negative point on service. Pool-service: i can't make any comments, since we are pool vacation not interested. Restaurant-service: very friendly and hard-working. You can't sit at the table, already is someone, the one served.

    Because we with a pool-animation nothing on the hut, is nothing to write. In the evening was really dead. There was each evening a live -program (you called it always show time), but that it has not interested us. At the bar there was each evening for about half hour cuban live music, that could the mood of the guests but not truly lift. As we had expected more. Therefore we went usually to bed early then as every day early our strandspazirgänge to. For young people, gladly evenings party want, the hotel is not really suitable.

    Since we before our holiday 1 week on own fist with the rental car through the country are, we had the possibility, the two islands Cayo Coco and cayo guillermo to explore. The nature this is unique. Mangrove forests, vultures, pelicans, pink flamingos, herons and many other rare birds can be seen here, if one of the hotel facilities somewhat nites. We even smelled and wonderful large marine gastropods discovered. If you don't car has, can one also a top open shuttle bus-bus take, the whole day between Cayo Coco and cayo guillermo the large hotels and the 7 kilometer away Playa Pilar drives (very recommendable!). The bus costs 5 cuc per person. A rental car is however still recommendable, as you only to the lonely and abgelenen authorities of the islands can be, like for instance cayo romano. The almost 40 kilometer long dam, the Cayo Coco with the mainland combines, is very impressive. There is a small scooters -rental right on the hotel, the fahzeuge but in despicable condition and quite expensive (i believe the 1st hour 15 cuc, any further 5 cuc). The most worthwhile car rental in Cuba is probably rex (our car was pristine). A rex car rental is Cayo Coco in the Hotel Sol club Cayo Coco. You can the car for 40 cuc to the hotel bring or directly with the shuttle bus-bus go there. The hotel itself is located in one of the most beautiful Karibik beaches cuba. The sea is very clear and deep turquoise to teal, colors, which i so far still in no sea seen and i never forget will. At low tide, you could several 100 meters into the sea walk and if one carefully and interested, you can lots of fish, snails, mussels and vibrant corals discover. The majority of the guests lumber but on your way into the deeper water only around and see not at all, what beauties your feet are. Unfortunately.

the hotel is reasonable, overall for the price (about 120, -EURO per day all inclusive). But more. The staff are very hard-working, but visibly on tips. It didn't bother us really, but for every one is' my amigo '. the most annoying, that the hotel was already clear getting old and not really in good condition kept is. There is a strong Update necessary. Also seems to me the complex a bit of a squeeze. The snack bar by the pool is very simple. We wanted to go to wonderful tour by Cuba on own fist the lovely Cuban Gammel ... for the last few days escape. The leisure activity options in this hotel not. the beach is beautiful with the real Caribbean feeling, but at high tide almost completely. Playa pillar we found disappointing. Internet is available in the hotel leftover not easily reachable on foot, but with bus( 3,80 euros). the audience is right pleasant. Too many overweight and older. Overall Canadians. apart from that: Cuba is a great and exciting country and wonderful on own fist to visit! Have courage and power quickly, before the Americans come. read more

the hotel was it some 15 years built there was a safe beautiful, maintained hotel inclusive area. Now, several parts of the plant expired, the Hotelteiche algae and the beach as you see him no more half of them since, the rest is just unkempt. We stayed in a standard room, since these noisy photos perfectly reasonable was. In truth mold in the bathroom, Holes in the walls, a balcony never cleaned will and so on the breakfast buffet had everything to offer from fresh Omelets, pancakes, French toast and many other more really the best Meal of the day. ... Lunch and dinner was two weeks the same, despite a large buffets. from young to old were all age groups represented. Especially Canadians and Americans were in our day there. read more

    the room was for two people big enough. the bathroom as I have already mentioned was of mold infested, towels were mostly not changed, Holes in the walls and so on the minibar should all two days filled in two weeks they were twice filled despite complaint. for the safe you had to 2,50 euros on the day, this is however not attached, but loose in the closet.

    There was the main restaurant and the ' restaurant at the beach' all three of meal times offered. Everyday the same and after one and a half weeks it is hard to find something. the main bar El mojito had almost always everything about drinks. in the restaurant were the tablecloths dirty and often not refilled. The tablecloths also left not changed. the kitchen was a mixture of Cuban and American. Without tip in this hotel nothing.

    the staff were after it smeared was friendly and hard-working, a few were friendly. With English or Spanish you got in the entire hotel further. The maid without tips nothing was done, against €5 was then a little more. A doctor was daily locally. Complaints were actually just ignored. the only really often friendly staff there was at the main bar 'El Mojito'

    The few entertainers locally were, were not pushy, which loungers by the pool or beach pleasant power. But also there was every day the same recreational activities.     the beach was directly by the hotel, as mentioned perhaps, only two and a half meters wide which it sometimes difficult has to get a seat. The next airport is Cayo Coco about 40 kilometers away, but from FTI not cruise terminals and one of Varadero 7 hours with the taxi to the hotel. in the hotel complex there are some shops which useless dust collector offer and foodstuffs including any needs. The only really good was the tabakshop. in the hotel some trips are offered. We have a 'spectacular tour' at the US promised: trip in two typical Cuban cities, visit a crocodile farm, a boat safari went, visit a cigar factory, visit a sugar cane factory, lunch on a ranch. The visits to the two cities was from the bus out, 20 minutes city, in the bus pure. Crocodile farm- a few Look at animals, Babykrokodil fynde, 5 minutes time for souvenir and again into the bus, so the the whole day further. The sugar cane factory we did not once from the outside seen and lunch on the ranch (pork?) us three days long on the bed spellbound. All together a useless stressed day around €65 per person.

Does what it says on the tin. After our trip to Cuba, this hotel was a icing on the cake end. The Caribbean flair is reflected in the hotel area as well as on the white sandy beach. The variety and the quality of the food was excellent. In short-pure relaxation! read more

Very nice hotel in Cuba, but that the international four star standard. We would not hesitate to go again. You must bear in mind, however, that the hotel is on a island. From the real Cuba here you get very little with. You can imagine also not, that it on the island a food shortages are. It is everything in the hotel in abundance. The evening entertainment is very good! Entertaining evening shows. It is many Canadians in the hotel, but the mood is very good and friendly! read more

In direct comparison to December 2000 has lost nothing of its flair Hotel. Although it is a little later, but the staff at all corners and crannies it was being cleaned and polished. Even a part of the staff of 2000 were still there and recognized us. The handling of all guests remains unforgotten. Due to the difficult journey (FRA/HAV-there one night stay in a three star creepy den-Cayo coco-two hours to the HT) are very few German guests in the house. The staff was very upset about this, because it takes us German guests than friendly and courteous and ... our virtues estimates! Most of the older staff spoke our language, inter alia in the former GDR studied or have lived! The beach is and remains a dream, at low tide, a feast for the eyes! What we noticed was seven, that the short-lived flaws in the service are increased. No limes, onions, garlic, no Diet Coke for our traveling companions with diabetes! The waiters confirm 'tired' shake this state of affairs in a tropical country. Our waiter was an extra day and limes bought. So we could enjoy a caipirinha at the bar. By the way, this was like the other cocktails handmade and really great! Also as ten years ago! We booked our trips with organized at the bar ☺ Boat made. We did not want to packed Cat's. the there was a personal service, with a lobster snack on a Mininsel, which stays in the memory! So Reiseweltmeister! Drive on the peninsula in this cozy hotel. The many people own after waiting for us Germans and you 'an honour' (soundtrack) the extra money to spend on vacation! read more

this trip to iberostar daquiri was excellent we really had a great time cant wait to go back.the staff were awsome. The bars were great and the entertainment was very entertaining. We couldn't wait t to see how the chambermaid would do up our room every morning. the staff deserve a pat on there backs. GREAT JOB. read more
