The hotel needs urgently renovation. In comparison to earlier years is the performance with entertainment, food, service (much less staff) Christmas decoration etc. /receptions has dropped considerably. The management replacement in the summer has the hotel obviously not well done. Noticeable is the large commotion in the entire property by the large number of families with very small children. Definitely true the value for money in comparison to previous years (weihnachten/silvester) not at all anymore. So the otherwise always fantastic hotel its gloss lost. It is still very nice, but for that much money you expect more. read more

PROS: -the staff was amazingly friendly, including the manager (first name “Xavier”) who was there to greet me on arrival. -while the room was “old”, it was not worn down at all as stated by other reviewers. Nevertheless, they are in need of a little (contemporary) revamp. A big plus of the rooms is they are almost on the beach. -lots of complimentary on-site activities -while the resort is on the east coast, you still can witness amazing sunsets (over the lagoon) at the top of the private peninsula that they are located on. We really enjoyed that a lot ... !!! - halfboard is complimentary when you book through their website. CONS - the beach. While the beach (and coconut groove) is nice, it is not out of this world as described by some others. There are no waves, the water does not have an incredible blue shade, and the sand is not super-soft nor powdery. It is a nice beach, but we should have lowered our expectations about it before arrival. - the prices are exorbitant. The hotel rates are among the highest of the island. While I do not mind paying a lot for a hotel room, this is problematic to me at the One & Only because the other top hotels (like Four Seasons) on the island will offer you a better product for the same amount of money. As long as the hotel is not renovated, I should suggest that they somehow reduce their rates. - dinner options halfboard (complimentary, and highly appreciated) entitles you to dinner in one restaurant (switching between a la carte and buffet). Food was good, but did not really impress me. There are also 2 other restaurants on site, but you will have to pay to eat there (half board entitles you to a 20 euro discount per person). I think it would be better if half board would entitle you to eat in at least 2 of the 3 restaurants, so that you would have more dinner options. - they offer airport transfers for the outrageous price of 140 euro one way. Just know that you can also arrange a taxi for a fixed rate of 35 euros one way by booking Taxis Mauritius online (we were very happy with their service). - when they ever renovate the hotel, I would advice them to make some hot tubes near the swimming pool, which would be an added bonus on the more chilly afternoons/evenings. - a band is playing at the main restaurant until 11 pm, so request a room away from the restaurant if you want to enjoy a quiet evening at your room. read more

Couldn't be better! Relaxed on wonderful beach, sailing or surfing (also water ski, kayak or high sea fishing) afterwards on private 9 golf course golf, trimmstudio or spa-all in top condition. Service near breakfast at the beach and dinner perfect (beach chairs are with fitted sheet covered, fresh towels, water with ice and lemon shall automatically, glasses being cleaned) Breakfast and dinner in the wonderful atmosphere on small islands in the pool. Guests 80% English 10% french 10% germans/ swiss. It is maintained understatement lived. Mostly regular guests; even I was already for 4. time there. Extra charges of the ... category high-but ok. Tip: the stayed last weeks of October: hotelgeburttag with an incredible feast( buffet, fireworks, show, dance)-just gorgeous! In short: life is expensive and nice-you can have it also cheaper-but then it is however also not so nice! Next year I will be there again! read more

The established hotel is outdated. In some areas, so for example the restaurant La Terrasse, should. Be renovated. The staff are very competent, friendly and helpful and very guest-oriented. Exemplary! Both the breakfast, as well as the dinner ( menu and buffet alternately) convince not by much- fältigkeit and discerning quality ( for example 3 different dishes with chicken on the menu). Next to- Costs for food and drinks are relatively high. The beach direction Belle mare is destroyed (see photos) and in a desolate state. The evening entertainment (famous 9 and shows) is very entertaining and demanding, singers and ... musicians From famous 9 a 'big asset'. read more

The Saint clotted's brand new luxury hotel with amazing service in the east of Mauritius. In all areas the hotel is personal service and friendliness very large written. Half board is always locked. The guests come mainly from great Britain and France, but also from Germany, Russia and Italy. The staff speaks French and English. There are but also staff, the very good German speak and attention to the German cared have, their English or French was not so good. read more

    the rooms are all of them have the same facilities. They are not new anymore, but that is the worst, you can say about it. The cleaning service is at least twice a day. These people have a very good Sensitivity for the time your affordable one. In 16 days they could build it, that we have seen from them, but always only a clean, tidy rooms were received. the room offers all equipment, you could wish for. The highlights were the complete lighting, which made, you can get the toilet ' illuminations' without the insert and the other to wake up, the wonderful terrace beach chairs with Ottoman and towards Lagune, the large double bed with good mattress and the good combination jill from sliding glass door and the black out blinds. All rooms have a butler service. This nice Gentlemen help, whenever it is desirable. If you want, you can help with the bags from or pack, a shoeshine, with the help of the Nespresso machine etc. etc..

    The hotel has three restaurants. 'La Terrasse' is the main restaurant, in which the half board. 'prime' is a chic, modern restaurant, came for us but not in question, since it is completely air-conditioned. This is a very 'rasoi' beautiful indian restaurant on stilts in the lagoon. The half board in the terrace leaves nothing to be desired. Every evening a buffet with everything, what your heart desires, constructed. Everyone will find and taste. Lots of dishes to be freshly prepared and the staff helps you choose, under tables etc. especially we enjoyed it, in addition to the buffet always a selection of a la carte dinner menu was offered. I need not mention this excellent service, that the food on our plates extremely rarely even the table had to carry. US nearly everything tasted excellent. Of course we also had in 16 days stay food, we are 100% IG have promised, but the was very rare. Especially good we also, that on it it was important, that the birds did not buffet around pecking and left tables' attacked '. Such unsanitary conditions are also five star hotels in Mauritius and the Seychelles in many cases. As in all other areas of the hotel, the service was the best. The nice ladies, the guests table hand, in shortest the name of the guests and for everyone nice floor. The waiters are very friendly and helpful. Empty plates were promptly disappear as quickly as possible and orders performed. especially I would like to highlight the food and the presentation of the food at the beach. Very fresh, very delicious and beautiful prepared. the prices for food and alcoholic drinks are all in all relatively high, but worth every penny.

    As already mentioned, the service is in all areas great. The staff has the ability to guests the feeling to give extremely welcome to be, without the feeling have permanent to be troubled. Right at the check in we were on it reference, in that it our room evenings loud, since the band until midnight plays. If we were disturbing, we could of course also got an other room. Other the hotel has a guests such a thing even find potential!

    the sport on offer is huge. We have certainly not everything used. the beach was a dream. Here on guests every day comfortable beach chairs and towels brought. The beach boys brought water, rich fruit or other details, clean the glasses of the guests, to menus, food and other drinks. Shade and beach chairs are available at any time of the time of the day adequate. Unfortunately there is the horrific people, the in the early morning beach chairs reserve. An embarrassing bad habit, not understand is. the pool was found to be of the highest our taste. It is basically right on the restaurant la Terrasse and the bar, both under other from Islands in the pool exist. So you can swim for eating and drinking people walking around. But who needs a pool, when the dream beach a few meters further is located. the fitness room features cutting device and offers personal guidance and yoga and aerobics classes. Another highlight was the spa with excellent treatments, a private pool and very nice service. the hotel has its own 9-holeGolf course directly opposite the front desk. The trains at sea wonderful. In the November/December the fairways were however very dry and brown, but very playable. After smaller downpours you could almost see as the place was green. All in all the condition of the place not comparisons with Anahita Touessrok or le, but also here, the service makes up for a lot. The staff the club house is great, there we knew after a round of golf, what the individual guests prefer. As soon as you saw us, bags was strapped to the general competence and the foreign language competence, water into the pockets and a load towel provided. Start here without going on. This gave us the freedom after half a day at the beach spontaneous again a round to go, without annoying and on-the-clock-Look. After the round one served ice tea and cookies under palm trees at the clubhouse. The staff the clubhouse took care of all concerns of the golfer, you start to organize other places and transfer there, the rackets cleaning, take care of the transport of Golfbags etc. completely special thanks at Ashock, which is always about us cared has. water sports are written in capitals.     the hotel lies on a small Peninsula surrounded by fine, flat sloping sandy beach. The lying off reef stops higher waves far, the water temperature is extremely pleasant. The lagoon part of the Peninsula has smaller beach sections and offers view of the mountains. The drive to the airport takes an hour. Options for shopping in Belle Mare (about 3 kilometer). Opportunities for excursions all kinds in the hotel offered.

' the one and only'. I have really have stayed in many five star hotels in Europe before, but this is something Geran le Saint very special! Near the hotel, excellent restaurants and absolute top class, excellent = sharpened- first class service, both the giving out of beach Butler, as well as 2 hour butler for the suite (thanks Basil) the hotel were so attentive, it is the desire for lunch at the beach, drinks, or required cleaning for the clothes. Superb! Already on the second day I was raised by all my name; my bags came unfortunately only 2 ... days after arrival and my mood was corresponding, but all in the hotel, from the director to Basil were touching hard-working me and auszmuntern to deal with my bags arrives as soon as possible! dinner: great and a fantastic choice! Great audience that outfit moderate, as well as from the behavior forth very good in this luxury hotel fit, a completely successful dream vacation of course, a small property cost. A stay at Le Saint Geran is like a dive in a stranger, beautiful and totally divorced world! You forgot anything to one around. The atmosphere, the decor, the attention and the friendliness of the staff, the white sandy beach, just everything left nothing to be desired. Also, even if we could spend our honeymoon there, so we have received also, there are many families that come. To a record is, that the children have been completely, the but the other guests due to the vast extent in no way could be affected, and on the other hand, the child ... care and the entertainment of the kids smile on your face a constant draw could. read more
