Business conference in Dubrovnik, great place

The hotel is on great location for tourist travelers to Dubrovnik, only some 100m to the main gate/entrance of the old town. I would not recommended it for disabled travelers since it is on small hill, and the access is not easy for disabled without assistance. Hotel is comfortable, clean, with nice garden terrace of the restaurant. read hotel review

Hotel is excellent with friendly staff. Nice old building. Clean room, big bathroom. Old style. Perfect location, walking distance to the Old Town City of Dubrovnik. Amazing view from the terrace. Difficult to find if you are driving from Dubrovnik airport first time. Strongly reccommend to stay. read hotel review

Belle epoque hotel with a fantastic view!

As its name says, the Hiltin Imperial was once an independent gorgeous hotel built in the beginning of the 20th century. The Hilton group didn't spoil it (except their ugly blue logo on a top) and tried even to further emphasize the belle epoque art of living. Book a suite on the top fourth floor with a spacious balcony and endlessly enjoy the whole unobstructed view of Old Dubrovnik which is right in front of you! Fantastic experience! read hotel review

The Grand Hotel Imperial (operated by Hilton) is one of the finest remnants of European pre-war high society. The building's architectural features and prominent location makes it one of the best choices for an upscale vacation. read hotel review
  • Room
    5.0

The guest rooms are surprisingly modern. In fact, you might even forget that you're in a century old building. The usual comforts are present, from the large high-quality beds to flatscreen TVs with international channels, WIFI internet (at a charge), well-stocked minibar, luxury bathroom amenities and a well working airconditioning system.

  • Gastronomy
    6.0

This rating is based only on the breakfast buffet, which is served in the main dining hall on the bottom floor. Guests can enjoy their breakfast in the elegant dining hall or amidst romantic mediterranean fauna on the terrace. The buffet is rich and fresh, with everything you could possible wish for. Freshly squeezed orange juice is brought to your table upon request.

  • Service
    5.0

The entire staff - including restaurant waiters and housekeeping - are well trained, fluent in english, well mannered and keep a professional appearance. The concierge is at disposal for any question or request. The rating gets knocked down a bit because of one staff member who was both rude and provocative for no reason. However, his behaviour was quickly forgotten as the rest of the staff more than made up for it. A Sixt car-rental office is located inside the hotel, right next to the reception, offering convenient car rental for both guests and walk-ins.

  • Sport & Leisure
    4.0

A wellness complex is housed in the basement, including a large indoor pool with glass ceiling, a sauna and a beauty treatment centre. The indoor pool is much appreciated in the colder months, but is also a place for recreational enjoyment in the summer.

The hotel enjoys a fine location just outside the main gate to Dubrovnik's old town and just a 15 minute walk from the harbour. There are plenty of dining options in the area, and a small supermarket is located down the street. Dubrovnik's bus station is just around the corner, offering a convenient direct connection to the airport and to several parts of the city.

The hotel has a very central location just a few minutes from the beautiful old city of Dubrovnik. It is one of the most luxurious hotels in the city and in a corresponding condition. Very well-kept and equipped with a lot of attention paid to detail. The guest structure is mixed, a lot of Americans, but also Japanese and Europeans. read hotel review
  • Room
    5.0

Our room was very big and spacious. It was very clean and fulfilled all requirements like a television (with German programs), air conditioning, safe, etc. However, only a few rooms have a sea view or a balcony. If you have a room without a balcony (like us), there is no possibility to sit outside, except for the hotel bar.

  • Gastronomy
    5.0

Breakfast is offered in buffet form and can be eaten inside or outside on the beautiful restaurant terrace. There is everything you can think of: meat, cheese, salmon, jam, bread rolls, cake, cereal, fresh fruit, warm food and an egg station where you can have omelettes and eggs made as desired.

  • Service
    6.0

The staff was extremely friendly both at the front desk and during breakfast. The room cleaning was also exemplary. English is not a problem. The service is absolutely worthy of a 5 star hotel.

  • Sport & Leisure
    4.0

The hotel has a spa area with a nice indoor pool. The entire area is very clean and well-kept. Unfortunately, there is no possibility to get outside from here so there are no outdoor loungers or even an outdoor pool. There is only a small balcony from the hotel bar where you can sit outside, we would have really liked a lawn or something similar during the summer.

It is about 40 minutes from the airport in Dubrovnik, there is a public shuttle bus for 5 € per person. The location of the hotels in the city is excellent. Since the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the old city, all attractions and countless restaurants can be easily reached. In about 10 minutes, you can reach a small cliff beach with access to the sea. Buses drive 100 m from the hotel.

Stayed here for the long May Day weekend Friday 3rd - Tuesday 7th May 2013 The Hilton Imperial is an impressive hotel very close to the beautiful Old Town of Dubrovnik and the main Pile Gates. Even though very close to the busy road feeding the thousands of daily visitors, the hotel maintains its elevated dignity.an oasis of calm. Rooms and bathrooms are well designed and equipped and very comfortable. Breakfasts are buffet style with plenty of choice, with an a la carte option for eggs about 6-ways.and very nice, polite & handsome waiters. Reception staff are very ... polite too and eager to assist. Free wifi in the beautiful bar. I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Dubrovnik.just a short walk away from the Old Town but far enough from the madding crowds. Not a hotel for families. read hotel review

In every aspect really first-class hotel, over here everything is written. This second visit will not our last. The pricing is confident and in my opinion at the upper Border concerned. All the surprising or rather annoying, that W-lan at these rates again strong pay want. That's picky with a tendency to the rip-off. We did without. read hotel review

Only few minutes on foot to the old town, better the hotel can do not lie. We had our room with club-lounge which was pleased us very much. Above all things the view from the fourth floor ( balcony with tables and chairs) down in the old town and on the sea. The breakfast was delicious, everything was there. You need not go hungry-) afternoon a small selection at cakes and creams and evening there was a selection of various canapes. Our room was large and clean. More is actually not. We would at any time book this hotel ... again. Couldn't be better. read hotel review

This hotel was also bombed during the Yugoslavia war in 1991-93. It was rebuilt and opened in 2005. It is situated right next to the bus station and Pile Gate. From the busy road comes noise to the terraces. We had booked the Presidential suite which is a huge suite with separate dining and living rooms, one bedroom, a bathroom with jacuzzi and a big 20 metres long balcony with great views over the old town. However the television in the bedroom is small and of old type. Also the suite has fitted carpets. Together with air fresheners sprayed by ... the maid the air was not so fresh. The suite guests are entitled to the executive lounge which serves coffee, refreshments, wine and beer all day. From 18:00 there are snacks and other spirits available until 23:00. We had breakfast at the Porat restaurant. It was excellent. On checkout there was a spa bill from the previous guest on our bill. It was sorted out in five minutes by two receptionists. read hotel review

We're going to Dubrovnik every year during the fall break. This time we got a room (not that expensive) in that beautiful hotel, with imperial style. Outside was windy so we just stayed most of the time inside and were in Finnish or Turkish sauna and in the mighty pool with a glass roof - priceless. Breakfasts were always different and all kinds of fruits, cereals, in general it was like a royal service. We really had fun! read hotel review

All in all, we were very pleased. The service was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was a bit smaller than in other hotels, but big enough and varied Hilton well. The rooms are small but very nicely equipped. Unfortunately the hotel is not directly on the sea, so that you don't even have to jump in the Adriatic Sea. But dfür is the central location to the old town. All in all a good hotel, Hilton standard. read hotel review

Great hotel for business travellers, not the run of the mill room, but with a lot of atmosphere. Had a room on the 3rd floor. Floor overlooking old town and sea. The food wasn't so exciting in the hotel and even for Dubrovnik expensive, but there were very good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. 2 min walk to old town and city walls. read hotel review

The Hilton is located on the edge of the old town, quiet, our room was facing the Gartenseiten. The public is European, mostly British. I can't agree with the opinions of previous tester - the hotel is over-rated. The room was alright, including the cleanliness and service, suits but perhaps a local specialities 4 -Star hotel. Breakfast was nothing special, daily the same, the Restbrot there was lunch! We spent 4 x lunch (perforce because the restaurant was air conditioned - outside it was very, very hot. ) No change during our stay of package, the same every day stained ... Show, food taste and carelessly displayed. The service (you had to seek it!) did seem surprised that every time someone came to the dining at all. The hotel operates beach section - shuttle service for a fee is an imposition for guests of so-called 5 star hotels. Broken pool chairs at the beach without pads, unsanitary Toilettenverhältnise and a "shack" a small restaurant. Don't book excursions, for example, 3 hrs Korcula. Boat trip, 1 hour. visual inspection, 2 hours rest, back with boat and bus. read hotel review

We had a room in the adjoining building with view of gardens, homes and the mountain. That was in order for us, as we had the window open no problems with noise late in the night had to be scared. If you have different expectations of booking, this should be to achieve. Our room was spotless in every respect.

We only took advantage of breakfast and it was, without a doubt, the best our entire vacation. You can have it indoors or on the terrace in the shade of parasols, probably in the room.

Beside the usual staff at the reception, bar, buffet, etc. A concierge is available to in terms of activities, restaurants, etc. Advise and reservations itself.

There is an indoor pool and two saunas, the appealing, but we didn't use it. You can take advantage of massage treatments (surcharge), a fitness room with generous equipment is available for free

One of the few 5 * hotels in near Old Town, just behind the wall with a stunning view over Dubrovnik; international guests. All the facilities you can expect to this category, also in the rooms. Very friendly, competent and not intrusive staff. Rooms in different furnishing available, we had executive and were in executive plus room: 40 sqm including huge bathroom and with balcony to the quiet garden. At executive lounge-use including: Striking range of food and drinks available almost around the clock at very personal attention on the top floor (does not warrant almost alone on the higher ... room rate). Hotel is apparently always fully booked, ups reservation affordable rates. up to date (Easter) we would have paid 24 50 % more than when booked months in advance. We would in Dubrovnik. Only drawback: Pets are allowed, in our case a bit disturbed by a few times two dogs in the next room. Have complained about the upon check-out; they were sort of disappointed that we the staff not through early map opportunity to help us out. read hotel review
