The hotel is already somewhat older. From the outside it made a great impression, unfortunately is it really very badly soundproofed, the floor squeaked and everywhere is carpet. For a city trip the location can't be beaten though. read more

The hotel certainly has many very beautiful rooms with a great view... Either on the canals or the fountain in front of the hotel or on the center. Unfortunately we weren't that lucky to get on of those rooms. Our window had a view onto the not really beautiful, rather unkempt inner courtyard. (see photo) The room was large enough and very clean, as was the bathroom. Breakfast... of the finest quality. Actually is leaves nothing to be desired. read more

The staff were very friendly and spoke German. However, I would expect that they would, when I asked where I can park, not just have offered the expensive parking garage next door. No mention of the much cheaper option was given. (This we learned by accident). Had they immediately said this we would have saved a lot of time. Finally, you do not want to spend half a day of a 3 days stay with finding a parking space.

The hotel is located right in the middle of town. Restaurants, bars and clubs are just a few meters away. The tram runs every couple minutes into every corner of the city. But beware! Those arriving by car should know that there is parking in front of the hotel but they cost 5 € per hour (Yes, you read it right 5 € the HOUR). Nearby (about 5 minute walk from the hotel) there is a parking garage, there it's 40 Euros for 24 hours. If you don't want to pay so much you can park in one of the 7 or 8 P&R - parking garages, which are on the edge of town. There you get (however only on demand) tram tickets to get from the parking garage to the center and back again. All this costs 8€ for 24 hours (including the tram tickets). When picking up the car absolutely first present the tram tickets and the parking ticket to the staff. If you don't, the same will happen to you as it did for us: we put the ticket to the pay station and almost had a shock. The price for 24 hours was 50 Euro. So make sure to get it stamped before!

The 4-star hotel was built in 1902 in art-deco style and therefore looks nice from the outside. It has 5 or 6 (?) Floors. From the fairly narrow entrance area it leads directly to the elevators, to the stairs, the breakfast room and the American bar. The stairs/ staircase we found a little confusing, therefore perhaps better take the elevator. The staff at the reception was businesslike friendly, and you got along with English (generally) easy. The nights can be booked with breakfast included. Cleanliness - 6 points, nothing to complain about. For smokers the entire hotel is completely smoke-free ..., there is no smoking-room either, so you need to go outside the hotel or book a room with balcony. read more

We had a double room with two separate beds - each of us had a large queen-size bed, and I really haven't lain in a Hotel Bettoli as comfortable before... Super comfortable mattresses, really great! Mini bar is well stocked with drinks to chocolate snacks (caution- removing counts already even if you only want to 'look' ...) Kettle. Hair dryer. Safe. Telephone. TV. Air conditioning, heating. Bathrobe, slippers. The room is really big, however the bathroom is small. Carpet in the room. For those who mind. The windows are quite large and can be opened completely - beware if you have children with you!

A very comfortable large dining room, beautiful atmosphere because of the decoration and the dimmed light, the furnishing is dark wood, comfortable chairs and armchairs. The choice at the breakfast buffet was perfect - from 'classic' German, English, French to fresh fruit, yoghurt, even sparkling wine and so on Tea or coffee is brought to the table. By the way, with advance reservation you can order breakfast to your room. We didn't go to the bar, got a glimpse though, also very attractive.

The hotel is directly located next to the Leidseplein, and as we have spent New Year's eve there it was of course awesome, as we were almost in the middle of everything and didn't have to go somewhere else. The shopping street Leidsestraat starts at the Leidseplein - there is everything that your heart could desire, from clothing and shoe-brand shops to gift shops or bars/ restaurants. Tram stops are everywhere around. Typically for Amsterdam are of course the canals, opposite the hotel there is one and you can buy tickets for a ride (about 9,50 Euro) right there at the booth - it's worth it in any case. There are a lot of cultural offers, too.

The kept buildings dating from 1900, since 1972 an Art Deco Monument (Art Nouveau). 175 Modern rooms and suites, about 5 floors. Absolutely clean, it could be booked with breakfast. I would, as far as I could judge. rate, not handicapped accessible (from the elevator is partly about "typical Dutch" steps everywhere, even in, we saw restaurants to the room). Mixed guest structure. All public and private institutions non-smoking). read more

The rooms are in terms of location and amenities very different !!! (View of the courtyard, to the canal, street, large and small room - best viewed before some of our group is a simple equipped room assigned, broken lamps, etc. ). Some rooms have a balcony. No plug in the bathroom, only for a razor. Our room (414 ) was a good size, the canal, a very wide, comfortable bed, coffee/tea maker, ironing board with iron, bathtub, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, plenty of towels, washcloths, seating area, flat screen tv, etc. Some rooms have even bathrobes - we didn't use it.

was absolutely friendly staff! Breakfast buffet: The cheese and meat were fresh and quite tasty, tomatoes topped and browned with cheese, fried mushrooms, salmon, omelets and fried eggs on request, boiled eggs, cereals, sparkling wine, small delicious pastries, rolls, fresh bread ... But the scrambled eggs we found inedible (probably Tetra Pak-scrambled eggs) and the sausages were hardly) were roasted, limp and without taste. The coffee is served. Breakfast buffet weekdays until 10.30 AM, during the weekend until 11 hours. The breakfast room is very nice and comfortably furnished, partly cozy wingback chairs. The breakfast costs per person 17.50 Euro. There is a bar and an outdoor terrace, transit. Dishes, Oysters, finger food etc.

Exceptionally friendly! Small German, of course perfect English. Room cleaning okay. , check-in very friendly! We asked for a quiet room (right there were a lot of room for our pre-ordered quite large group, we were a day earlier so we had good opportunities ... ), worked fine!

The location is ideal for a city break. The central city location brings it but in some of the rooms rather strong noise (street, tram etc. ). Excursion possibilities: You could probably weeks in this wonderful city and you can get long never saw it all! It is definitely worth it a visit by boat to Volendam and on the peninsula brands (very nice fishing villages, picturesque wooden cabins, picturesque ports ). By taxi about 25 minutes from the airport to the city, cost about 35-40 euros.

After a short tram ride (1.60 € p.. P) from the main train station of getting to the Leidse Square, hotel. You can also directly with the boat (e.g. B. Canal bus) on the seashore and Leidseplein arrive before a picture of the beautiful canals. The Leidseplein and the surroundings are flooded with bars and restaurants and supermarkets, so a (very expensive) food in the hotel is not necessary. If you love shopping, celebrates or want to be quickly in the museum district (approx. 10 minutes. Walk) was exactly right here.

The hotel's centerpiece is the beautifully renovated café and restaurant "Café Americain" with its refined and dramatic setting. Coffee and cakes were very tasty, but not cheap. In warm weather, guests can also be drinks and snacks on the summer terrace. The "Café Americain" is Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 11:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, open from 07:00 until 11:30 pm. In the restaurant there's an American buffet breakfast (Monday through Friday from 6:30 until 10:30 and during the weekend from 07:00 until 11:30). Breakfast not booked in the surrounding area, as it enough choice of cafes and restaurants. Cocktails and Co. It is in the "bar Americain".
