Positive: - beautiful beach - rooms are large and furnished nicely, also clean and modern - breakfast really good - staff is very friendly (2 times per day room service) Negative: - beach crowded - view from the balcony our room catastrophic (backyard with working builders) - so useless balcony: both because of the lack of view, as well as through constant observed the workers - shower without door or curtain - no screens in the room and the balcony door did not close completely, so always mosquitoes in the room read more

Deluxe room with a view of the sea is standard rooms with Dachblick:- ( the only Difference between standard and deluxe rooms is dorfblick and Dachblick. Very old building, partly renovated. Bedroom oK but bathroom needs totally renovation, as well as window and door. If You good room want, you must deluxe suite new building for Doppelpreis book. Eat okay for 3 stars but service chaotic, lots of people. Directly beach area, perfect beach. read more

We are in Colombo arrived and had no suitcase. At the airport we also received just the same the good news, that our reservation (bucher-travel) in ubr not available. So one night in bentota, then the ubr, there we 4 nights undertaken, then the next hotel. That's why of us no sufficient assessment of the hotel, since only annoyed. Many thanks to bucher for mißratenen annual holiday. read more

We were with the choice our hotels altogether very satisfied. The offer with the half-board has fulfilled our expectations. Breakfast and dinner offered a plentiful choice. On the weekends was the disco adjacent pub a bit annoying, but apart from that was at night peace. After-dinner walks to the dinner were unfortunately hardly possible, one was on the tv program instructed or had international news on internet ( Wiki) get. Shortly after our arrival were new beach chairs and mats purchased, the the beach stay pleasant made. The shady places under the trees were however often already before breakfast from ... especially industrious Bathers reserved. Altogether spent we are right relaxing days. The lying off reef protected also with higher waves, so that hour long Swim actually was always possible. Snorkeling was possible, but not spectacular. If one with the boat go out. read more

We stayed in a hotel in the part of the hotel descriptions was visible and was not nice to look at. the hotel was completely sold and during dinner and at the beach it was crowded and noisy. on Wednesdays and Saturdays nearby a loud disco. read more

    The hotel consists of 2 buildings with 3 room categories. We had 'superior room' booked. These will be your name does not do it justice, are very modest and shabby and chairs close to the dining area, the front desk and the kitchen (we could hear the noise). The bath is about 1.20 meters wide and only for SLIM people! From the sewage in the bathroom partly very unpleasant odors. in the buildings in the hotel descriptions shown are only the luxurySuites (about 60 euros extra chargeRooms //night on superior room). If we building with the ' superior-rooms''d seen, we certainly do not have booked.

    varied offer, something for everyone ( European and Asian kitchen). The drinks were relatively expensive. A beer (about 0.7 liter) costs about 3 euros, about 0.80 euro a coke. the dining area was open and covered, direct at the beach. The atmosphere was more like in a cafeteria (noisy and cramped).

    the staff were very friendly. With English you could communicate fairly well. the rooms were regularly but superficial cleaned. Bed linen changed 3 days all, towels daily. Currency exchange is to a worse course at the front desk possible.

    at the beach were consistently beach sellers. You to base camp in front of the hotel had turned down and the few shady spots occupied. the beach chairs were out of wood without cushions and sun screens from metal or very worn and broken. W-Internet access free however very slow intermittent.

    the hotel lies on a very popular beach with many other restaurants and smaller hotels. You can also other pub at the beach food, which are cheaper than in the hotel. there are several diving centers at the beach. We are equipped with ' submarine-divers' dived and apart from the poor under water-it was okay. we have the area by scooter explored. The traffic on the coastal road to the east is small and safe. the drive and the Rückfrahrt airport is a torture (5 hours for bad streets), because the tour operators still on the old highway and not the new highway used. the next bank is about 4 kilometer away (in Galle) for changing a passport must be taken. With the small train the journey costs there about 5 euros.

    the location of the hotel at the dreamlike Bay of unawatuna is spectacular. lots of small hotels, bars and restaurants in the bay. possibilities for excursions with tour operators were OK, as well as the exploration of our Tuk-Tuk Drivers.

the holiday was well laid out. The hotel lies very nice. It is however getting old. From here you can make some interesting day trips, with driver, small train odermit the bus. The service was impeccable and very friendly. The food was good and diverse. We have enjoyed 20 days remaining kitchen Ceylon. There are also, of course, international dishes. read more

Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff, good food, good and large selection. Beautiful Bay and the surrounding area. But unfortunately the whole Bay of neighboring clubs several times in the week extremely exposed. This noise (you do not hear the music, but only a thumping dumpfes, that the windows swing this noise went on until 4:30. read more

    The rooms were with all necessary lapse, have however already some years back. However they were always clean. Safe seems quite easy to crack. Was with us from the room-boy and money stolen!

    The location offers pros and cons. End of October/ Beginning November was the beach one of the few in Sri Lanka, where you safely without meterwellen able to swim. The beach from unawatuna is a dream. Downside is the distance from the airport. The transfer (circa 150 kilometer) has believe it or not over 5 hours lasted. Furthermore travels are to friends sights in Kandy and Hochland with hour long (almost unreasonable) drives connected.

    different standard in highly divergent quality and condition, as I, during the vacation moved three times am (standard room-a superior room and deluxe room ), I can only definitely recommend, to the transaction of Superiorzimmers in this standard eighth, better is still better; standard rooms, in my opinion not over German Travelagenturen to book, in an old and bad condition, partly humidity and mold available, you can smell; the rooms are sustainable the biggest drawback of the complex, which all in all the review of the apart from that too many well run house go down;

For three stars, it is a really good hotel, breakfast and evening buffet was really terrific. The beach was amazing, but at full moon are the waves were very high. Many excursions by buses or public whether (much cheaper). The Superior rooms have seen better times, but everything was always clean. We were in the two weeks December in Sri Lanka and in unawatuna have from the beach. We can really say that this hotel is a great rate. Most of the room were being renovated and are very bright and friendly furnished. The bathroom is well (Asia's) but adequate. The buffet (in front of all the local) was really tasty. The quality of the pool, the almost empty was actually always, is very quiet and very clean. The most beautiful beach to lie on it is anyway. The beach is really a dream! Beware of strong currents, as can the ... past many stones in the water be. What is sometimes a little annoying, are the vendors on the beach but the people want to earn also only money. And if you say no, is the also accepted. The beautiful is, that there is no mass tourism it and you could always communicate in other languages was very good! Restaurants, bars and entertainment possibilities were in the immediate vicinity. A disco is it also nearby. (There are regular beach parties organized, what you of course in the hotel not hear a thing). So this hotel and also the place unawatuna are very good for young and old people. It was really a dream holiday and that is why we will also again next year! read more
