Jamie´s Rainforest Inn (new name) is the place you need to stay, if you are in Tofino. When we arrived, we thought.hmmmm there is still a lot that needs to be finished (on the outside area)-BUT inside- everything has been freshly renovated (and some things are still in process). It´s clean and bright and it gives you the feeling, you are the first one entering this place. The hotel staff is very frendly and helpfull- it´s a bit like home. From there you can get to Tofino within 10 min by car or to long beach. Tofino is such ... a nice little town, people are friendly and helpful- and I mmean not that kind of fake friendliness. If you say at the Rainforest Inn and you wanne do a whale/ bear watching tour- you need to book the tours with there own company they have- you get a disountD we did whale watching and bear wathing by zodiak- and it was priceless! read more

Absolutely personal care, Monique speaks German and everybody was super nice! Our 10-year-old daughter all have spoiled. The dog Winston, an absolutely good-natured Saint Bernard, was your favorite. Sorry Monique, I you in the guest book Barbara mentioned, white not at all why. Schickst you the photos at scharwald@arcor. De? Pauline would enjoy! The lodge is a great Base for walks or cycling, in 5 minutes one is at the massive sandy beach long beach. Into town one drives better with wheel or car. Our whale watching tour by whale center and museum was great and successfully. We would the ... lodge our friends highly recommend. Oh and how glad we were on the great breakfast, finally something hearty as delicious fried egg eTC. read more

Unforgettable stay in the clayoquot Orca lodge. We in still no hotel/ Lodge so at home felt, as here. To get there: thanks to the rather small number of streets, the direction tofino lead (pronounced: a-) you can't really frays itself. In the light the lodge is very good to find, in the dark is something difficult, since the lodge was not in the middle of civilization is, but outside. But at least it is entrance wide enough, so you at the last minute after spot the sign still bend can-) Check in: Although we had at arrival ... the number of the lodge call, since the front desk closed and no representative was there, but that is my phone bill already bear. Monique was quick and we were checked in, a additional ceiling concerned and declares, where the room is. The room: The room (311) was a dream, fireplace, kitchen, jacuzzi and views of the rainforest. And above all was the room very clean. The other rooms have probably mostly only a fridge and a microwave, instead of kitchen, but thus one can also survive. The Lodge The ambience in the lodge is super. The front desk as well as the lounge are cute and really homely furnished. The front desk is not always manned, but there is a telephone there, with which one Monique ( mostly) can reach. Directly behind the lodge is the rainforest, to the sound leads. Small but sweet and Olivia even lovingly maintained. Small tip: at low tide boots procure (in Monique) and on the edge along stomp. Many Paw Prints, mussels and other. But be careful: you can get stuck in the mud-) To the restaurant the lodge I can't say, as we outside of the season were there and it was still closed. But the raspberry-sorbet tastes great! The locationEnvironment The lodge is located outside the town of tofino, for breakfast and food you have to either or a whole piece run. Or one takes the onsite restaurant, what for our stay but was still closed. Apart from that the lodge was great, Chesterman beach directly opposite, McKenzie beach and Cox Bay beach next door. A few meters further toward tofino there was a small Aunt Emma shop, surf shop, and Futterstände etc. Monique, Olivia and Winston Monique speaks German, what for my mother, the almost no English speaks, ideal was. Super friendly and helpful, and above all always ready with advice, which one must have seen and what one could skip. Olivia is the owner the lodge and a point for itself. If you speak good English and a little humor has, it is to roar-) it has an so warm art stories to tell or things upset. Winston is the lodge -dog and in a class of. Olive ( Olivia' s mother), we must not forget, old and frail and no longer active on business involved, but juckelt still with their rollator over the yard-) Now the criticism: the freshly started soap must not every day exchanged and Monique is a poor loser and a still worse winner in the darts!-) I have really no faults, even the none of the clocks, neither in the room ( Clock radio and microwave), still at the front desk right one, I thought was great, as the eternal time forget and just live. Not there is still the own handy or the wristwatch. In the peak season like the whole may be a bit different, I cannot judge. I look forward to again at any time outside of the season go back-) read more

We were warmly welcomed by Olivia and Monique and Winston ( Bernadiner ) received. The Orca lodge is a inside tip for nature lovers. Rainforest directly behind the lodge. Rooms are very comfortable furnished. Food service very good. Monique and Olivia always stood with advice and act to the side for Tippszum hiking destinations and so on Monique from Germany so not a problem for those who speak some English. Vacation with dog also no problem. Since we loved it we will in any case come back. Keep up the good work. read more

We have our stay in Toffino very enjoyed. For breakfast we were in the place and in a small bakery breakfast. The hotel was for us a fishing excursion organized. One of the two Haushellinen is German so is the stay without or with bad English not a problem. My favorite part was the dog much (a Bernhardiener). The rooms were very neat and clean. We had a small Kamienofen in the room. we would again at any time in the orca lodge go. read more

The first highlight is already the short walk through the rainforest directly behind the Lodge Clayoquot Sound leads to the sea. Chesterman beach is only a few minutes walk away quickly and easily reached. Here you can walk along for sandy beach and watch the surfers. The Lodge is located outside of Tofino or pre Tofino, so a bike or car helpful. Walk, it is also possible to walk to Tofino. This then becomes a little hike.

The Lodge is a bit different than you expect from a hotel in the strict sense. The rooms were spread partly on 3 floors. But we were on the ground floor. Therefore, we had a nice patio from which you directly in the actual path through rainforest walk to the sea. It's very impressive. The hotel also has a huge lounge where there are much huge TV available. As we were there in the off-season, was overall very little going on. Breakfast could have been you can book in addition, but we never tried. The other guests we saw (very ... rare) were very mixed ages. read more

The room was really huge. You had unusual plenty of space. There was a large double bed, desk with chair, an armchair, a couch and two small tables and then was still plenty of room. Our room also had a fridge, coffee maker and microwave, so that also has a lot to food itself. The bathroom is very close together. The hotel does lack of counter space and although everything was clean, so reminds me a bit of Etap because the bathtub was easy reinigbarem Plasik. But it was always kept very clean and in good condition, even if the selection of the decor is certainly a matter of taste. The terrace with its way in the rainforest I had already been mentioned. The TV could be adjusted maybe a the size, but it was ok.

The staff was very friendly and for each (disadvantage) question willing to listen. Monique is originally from Germany, so you can get good excursion tips even in German. We were here as ever been to another hotel advice and have very good recommendations for where to eat, whether to good restaurants or nice hiking trails, the two contact to everything that was at the front desk can say. As you should really just ask. As a bonus, you can book whale watching tours, so that one could a small discount. Also we were satisfied with the room cleaning.

The lodge doesn't have a pool or no or such activities program. However, a free internet connection (WLAN in the rooms, respectively a PC in the lobby). Unfortunately, there was the weather was poor, but the access to the sea almost beach ... There were also a few chairs that can be used and welfare of the lodge are provided.

The Lodge is located between the rim National Park and Tofino. Tofino spread over but very weitflächig, so that you would not be a restaurant within walking distance. Without a car (or at least one bike) you are already rather lost. In Tofino itself there was minimal. this is a small fishing village, so you do not so badly plenty of choice. (There is for example. No Starbucks, Tim Hortens etc. , in Canada on every corner ... : -)). It hadn't far away at all to nature. Right next to the Lodge has been rainforest and also across the street you have the opportunity to walk on the beach to see and a lot of nature. It is of course the Rim park with very many trails not far ... The excursion possibilities there are very good.
