We have a week in this hotel and consciously for a hotel with tradition and soul decided. We found a Grand Hotel with experienced tradition and modern comfort. From the wonderful, spacious lobby you had a wonderful view of the mountains. The personal care was remarkable! In which large Grand Hotel one of the manager of the hotel personally greeted and taken care of. Mr mathes is a manager of the hotel, as one him introduces itself. Our room was a great combination from modern and traditional, the pool area was great, the hallways with old wood stages reflected the ... old history of the building there. Who needs new hotels, if a so great traditioned finds! Gladly anytime again! read more

... Tidy renovated with very attentive staff. Room and bathroom spacious, big and clean. The view of the mountain range was every day an experience. Breakfast was okay and diverse. Generous indoor pool. Very nice the peacock lounge in the evening.

The hotel with a wonderful atmosphere amongst others lattice window is located at the entrance to garnish Partenkirchen. We had a large, clean room with a magnificent view of a big balcony on the Zugspitze and the ski jump. The box spring beds were super comfortable; the other decor we liked. The heater in the bathroom needs getting used to.
The breakfast buffet left nothing to the imagination. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pool had a pleasant water temperature, was clean and the size is also super. Sauna is also available. In the zirbelstube we twice very good ... food - the music there is matter of taste (1 time whole evening marschmusik!) And was to our taste somewhat too loud. I hope that we can again next year a few days in the Grandhotel sonnenbichl spend. read more

Of a 4-star grand -hotel I more expectations. In the lift, was already to a older age-group belongs, fit straight time 2 persons. The room was located under roof and apparently also under the air-conditioning units for the hotel, so that we from a steady hum and haw in the room were accompanied. The bathroom was not greater than a spittoon. The spiegellampen the bathroom lighting hung on half eight. The shower head was not in the holder ..., which was surely due to, that the shower head seemed to be not in the mounting plate belonged.

We were 3 nights in the hotel. Although we only a coupon of 100 €had, we were served perfectly well. Starting when checking in check-in to check-out at the front desk remained no question unanswered. We enjoyed the stay in this hotel very good. The building style and charm and the employees are friendly and competent. Our room was huge, spacious and comfortably furnished. Unfortunately was the view of the TV not easily, since this in a corner stood. Unfortunately the balcony never cleaned.
The breakfast buffet was plentiful and also my man looked forward daily to the fresh white sausages with sweet Mustard. A particularly beautiful experience the breakfast was on the beautiful sun terrace with a view of the Alpspitz.

The hotel lies at the edge of the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. On foot you need about 10 minutes in the city center, where you good shopping and very good can eat.
Check in, as well as check out were lightning fast manner. The hotel is the whole impression very pleasant. The rooms are well equipped and very thoroughly cleaned. The indoor pool was pleasant temperature and has a good size. The sauna was not used by US.
To the tasty breakfast there was a wide selection of sausage, cheese, fish with salmon, cakes, fruit, and so on

It is a 'traditional' house, the gradually being renovated. The windows are not all were changed, the floor makes a bit, our bathroom was not too big... However the whole hotel has a lot of flair. Everything was very clean. I had only booked accomodation and breakfast and in the evening in the hotel eaten. We have already had two and a half years on eBay a voucher for a stay in this hotel bid. I have only positive experiences with eBay-coupon made (see other reviews). Therefore, I would like to this time the negative side, equally prejudge. It is normally in other hotels never a problem, the eBay gift card as desired is accepted. In case the preferred date terminlich is not possible, tried at least the reservation department for a alternative solution. Unfortunately, we got it with the Grand hotel Sonnenbichl something different experience. But after 13. Anfrageanlauf (!), it ultimately worked! We ... could now our coupon for a two-day stay inclusive breakfast and welcome drink to redeem.
We were given a wonderful tower room, sympathetically redeveloped furnished with a light -bathroom and an entrance to a balcony, we have a other rooms shared could.
There was absolutely nothing to complain about. The room was quite large and had also a wonderful view of garnish and beyond mountain range with the alpspitze peaks. Very good we liked the, that the room very sympathetically redeveloped furnished. The ' old double glazed windows' are still visible, the bathroom was not 'super modern', however also spacious.
In the swimming pool- and sauna area we were in two days only Users, what we found pleasant. There is a Finnish sauna, a wärmekabine and a relatively large pool with whirl area.
The breakfast served in a large dining room offered. It was a buffet with plenty of selection set up. The food variety was the four stars standard. Good we found the regional typical Bavarian food variety. There was white sausages!
All together we were very satisfied and can the hotel for a short stay recommend! read more

rooms: great room small TV, shower in the bathtub with high entrance,
hardly controlled electric heating in the bathroom, step between the room and bathroom, to bad
lighting in the bathroom, apart from that nice with bathrobe, balcony, seating possibility.
breakfast: for a four-star hotel too few staff, table cloth was totally with crumbs
