Hotel Privilege^{(3 stars)}

Charming furnished, clean and neat. Air conditioner was working well. However for me as a rather noise sensitive person, the noise from the street and the badly soundproofed room was not acceptable. Even with the windows closed, sleep without ear plugs with the traffic noise was difficult. Therefore opening the window was impossible . We felt on the second floor without closed curtains already on "display". Then there was nothing seen of the nice view of the other bank of the Arno river. Much too loud. Price-performance ratio: Too expensive.

The restaurant suggestions for dinner were all great and recommendable. Bus schedule for trips to Siena and very good city map for Florence were available. For trips we could safely receive good tips. After about midnight the door was locked so that one had to ring, which was unpleasant. The special advertised hotel service for suggestions in and around Florence was in my opinion for a hotel at this price range minimum and was not at the price's standard.

The hotel was located on a main street and therefore despite double glassed windows very loud, especially in the second floor. At 5am mornings for those who were sensitive, sleep only possible with earplugs. The hotel was generally very badly soundproofed, so that one could hear the entertainment from the neighbors. Whoever don't mind that, the hotel was certainly fine. The room facing away from the street, tended to be still. The welcome was friendly. Altogether the hotel was in comparison to other houses in town in my opinion much too expensive.
