The completely solid and well-kept house approximately 35 rooms. It located right next to the ski slope. The half board consists of a huge breakfast buffet-from the sparkling wine on salmon, a variety of breads, wide selection of sausage and cheese, egg dishes directly prepared, to the freshly squeezed orange juice. After skiing a snack with soup, defigem and delicious cakes served and the several course evening dinner plays all pieces. 'with problems with the weight is restraint.' This year begrudged my wife (67) and i (72) us a ski-fourth advent christmas week at verwöhnhotel sonnhof. To be honest we are thrilled overall!
Firstly there is a the arrival: in our case about 800 kilometer. for skiers, the as much snow be, it is even more pleasant, if the drive mostly well cleared highways fast possible. No pass road, possibly snow chains make necessary. Winter tires are completely enough. And we had plenty of snow!
The 2. highlight – the location. The architecturally attractive ... hotel lies directly at a slope of the huge ski resort. That means ski on the terrace strap or by ski also the ski day exit. The wishes every skier. Easy, it is not.

From the owner-family H. run hotel is in a quiet location in the district of Alpendorf of st. Johann i. P. The approximately 35 rooms have different size and facilities, they are all comfortably furnished and in perfect condition. The guests end of September came mainly from Germany, but also austrian, Italian and luxembourg cars on the free hotel parking seen.
This guests almost all the great half board plus. The plus means in the early afternoon a snack, consisting of solid, as Gulasch, lasagna, dumplings, etc., 4-5 different salads and a beautiful selection of cakes. The hotel has a manageable location ( approximately 80 beds) with different rooms and suites. Everything is very clean and you feel at first attempt well. In the price is a three-quarters guest house included. Everything very plentiful and delicious. During our stay mainly austrian and German guests middle ages. read more

We spend with two friendly couples Five wonderful days at the sonnhof. After a long breakfast, which, except for coffee and freshly made egg dishes, in buffet form offered and the choice of its equal, we joined our daily activities on. ( golf at new golf course, Almbesuch with guide Marcelo, self-employed hike for Sternhof and circled -Alpine etc.) in the afternoon until evening relax in the warm pool or in a waterbed with pleasant music, before it in one of the four saunakammern went. ( Finnish, bio, infrared and steam room ) the dinner leaves nothing to the ... imagination and the gala dinner on the Sunday has gourmet level.
Our room, approximately 70 meters² large sonnhof suite, with Southwest -balcony and a view of garden and in the valley, the spacious living area, the pleasant bedroom with very good beds, the walk-in closet and a large bathroom with whirlpool -pool, shower, Doppelwaschbecken and infrared cabin rounded our relaxing vacation from. Now to the three highlights, which rather' details' were, but the quality the sonnhof confirmed: the quiet bathing lounges, which we just now in the autumn often used, the afternoon snack in a quality and choice, that it almost a full meal was and the rich selection of of high quality books in the spa area ( great, valuable Pictorials) and library in the lobby. Also in our sonnhof suite we found some interesting books.
The service, the chambermaid to the restaurant-staff, was ideal and the art of the hotel. Not unmentioned I want to leave, that the owner-couple very looks after the wellbeing of the guests and the laughter, when host Hans with, not too short. From the cellar to the roof - I have no idea, which would be to be criticized. Friendly front desk, appealing wellness area, kind child care, comfortable lobby, comfortable room, great breakfast ( much fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, large other selection ), beautiful atmosphere during dinner ( reasonable food; for 'right men' are the portions maybe a little too small), wonderful terrace.
The possibilities for recreation in the area are varied, the car is however needs. Shops there was not on site, the place St. Johann is by car quickly reached.
In short: the hotel is definitely recommendable ... - for any time of the year! read more

Very good service, very friendly staff - in the restaurant, as well as the room service. Child-friendly, an excellent kitchen. The spa area with indoor and outdoor -pool was very clean. The nearby, brand new golf course was for us as guests of the hotel free (Academy-platz 9 hole) respectively reduced Greenfee (9 -hole Championship course). Cable car only a few meters away from the hotel, great offer for children on the 'geisterberg'. We had a great time at the sonnhof! read more

What can you say, a generous and beautiful spa suite, breakfast where nothing was lacking! Afternoon snack only on the hips is (creates do this delicious Strudel not from), a hotel kitchen at this quality experienced, a boss, the ordered flowers for wedding anniversary my wife itself will pick you up. There is nothing to moan about, even small fluff were immediately taken care of (and with a nice Shake an apology). Very nice terrace. Really beautiful wellness area.
There we would gladly go again.
PS in August comes Bella Italia, since it becomes somewhat wusseliger. read more

We stayed with both of our daughters, the Schwiegersöhnen and grandkids for a extended weekend with great weather, however evenings with storms, in the dream hotel Sonnhof. Our four grandchild (4 to 8 years) were especially of the pool thrilled-with the pleasant water temperature they wanted to not any more from the pool to climb. Also the very good on Kindergeschmack coordinated children's menu, already around about 18 hours, with ice after free choice as a dessert, came with us adults good. We could the 5-course dinner enjoy in peace, as the grandchild in this period from the child care ... were busy.
Tastefully equipped hotel, the professional and always friendly service-team director Paul at the sharpened, Bianca and Barbara at the front desk, as well as PEM and Dennis in the food area and, last but not least, the attentive and always helpful owner-couple Höllwart were guarantor for a unforgettable families-vacation.
We will continue this summer certainly in the sonnhof come around the generous sonnhof -offer to use and on the golf practice range, free time to play golf. We are already looking forward to it. read more

We enjoyed the days at the sonnhof very enjoyed, there was nothing which we to criticize would have.
Employees and hoteliers family are all exceptionally friendly and always for the well-being of the guest endeavors.
Altogether it is certainly a typical winter sports region, but also the summer sports are good.
For older people is the location where appropriate cleanliness, because the hotel right on the slope, a walk is always with a climb and the descent connected. In the hotel but all elevation changes easily by elevator manageable. read more
