The rooms are outdated, however the condition is ok. Tip for kontaktlinsenträger, there were no makeup mirror! The outdoor facilities are a lovely well kept dream! The audience is international, the average age rather 40 + and therefore is also the unterhaltungsprogram in the evening, rather boring, in huge and caring effort of the entertainers, this to you. We the offer in the main restaurant -atmosphere of a cafeteria-disappointed. This is more like a 3 star hotel!     Who at 6:00 o'clock on vacation gladly rises, for a beach chair at the beach in the shade to get is in the right place here. The loungers are mostly broken and are badly in need of replacement. The beach section, as well as all other grounds, is very clean kept. There is a wide range of activities for all age groups, because none bore! An unobtrusive but dedicated entertainment.

The complex is huge and spacious with over 500 rooms on 7 guest houses distributes. We were in the house 4 (junior suite) and had to lobby the broadest way with about 10 minutes on foot by the complex. Thus we had it but only a couple of steps to the beach & pool. At first we were on the ground floor with a view of fresh angepflanztem' greens' and you could with a view to the left the sea imagine (extra a few Euro more paid for sea view). The change was due to Henry (good german language skills) ... within 24 hours quite good to the top but unfortunately it was not the desired view of the sea (see photo). We booked through the change 2 rooms occupied, in the first room we had 2 separate beds not time together could (it was our honeymoon). In the 2. rooms had we had a large bed. The rooms were huge, spacious and somewhat outdated now. The first week was the cleaning of the rooms still ok, but in the 2. week, to 3 days without tip one could see, that the room only superficially cleaned (sand was on the floor, no figures, dirty bathtub.). Wi-fi was fee (3$ = 2 hours, 50$ = 1 week), as well as the safe (2$ / day) also. Otherwise food & drinks for the whole day. It were lots of spaniards, french and russian on the complex. Germans and americans rather less. The average age rather 45 +, we were with a few a few exceptions, the recent (26.30). The park was very clean and well cared for. The gardener every day their best and were always at work. read more

    As described above the rooms are (junior suite ) very big and spacious. The first room had only a shower, the 2. rooms have a bath. We had with our room a corner balcony and so in both directions look. Verstauungsraum there were enough. Tv is available with a german-speaking channels (Deutsche Welle), air conditioning, as well as a deckenventiltor are available. Mini bar is filled with 4 cans of beer, 1 fl Cola, 1 fl Cola Light, 1 fl Sprite, 1 fl Fanta, 4 fl flat water, 2 fl mineral water and specially still 1 liter fl flat water, as well as a coffee maker or tea. Telephone was available, but not used.

    There were 4 topic restaurants (mexican, japanese, steakhouse & gourmet restaurant). One could 3 times/week in one of the restaurants (with reservation). There was but also the el ingenio, there was breakfast, lunch & dinner in buffet form (canteen quality). Late risers could from 10 to 12 o'clock at la goleta breakfast, lunch there was from 12 to 14 o'clock el ingenio, from 12 to 16 o'clock la goleta, from 16 to 18 o'clock there were snacks and cakes in the la sombrita and dinner from 6:30 p. m. until 22 o'clock. Even at night, there were snacks at the mexican restaurant. The food in the 'restaurant' (buffet) was always very nice arranged and the selection was huge but unfortunately it didn't taste. The pasta was tasteless (without pepper & salt it was not at all), the meat tough and mixed, the scrambled eggs at the breakfast was to three-quarters liquid and some dishes had a undefinable taste. Sometimes less is more... Really dishes typical of the country were the exception. The food the steakhouse and the gourmet restaurant was very good quality. The pool had a pool bar, at the beach was the beach bar with the beautiful lighthouse and in the lobby was also a bar. Unfortunately the cups were damp stacked, thus smelled and tasted almost every drinks after chlorine.

    The friendliness left some staff to be desired and you could them to see, that they did not have desire and totally gene ffs was. And in the lobby all were friendly. With english one could understand very well, some could also a few words in german. Henry could speak fluent german of the lobby. The cleaning of the rooms has already been described above. If you wish or concerns like for instance a technician for the air conditioning, safety deposit box, etc. Needed became it quite quickly. However switched you with complaints on passage and you were with evasions abgespeist.

    Sport programs we didn't use, but there is a gym. Animation also not used, but it was the distant fun to look at and they were not intrusive. The loungers we had, were not broken. Unfortunately there were not enough small tables. By the pool there was even cushions for the beach chairs. Very bad in this complex was the pool chair reservations. At the beach was at 6 o'clock in the morning the complete first row occupied from french & spanish. We were wondering, whether you the loungers not before you go to bed reserve. At 6:45 o'clock there were only in the 3 or 4 series free chairs, although every screen in 5 languages the it prohibited is to reserve chairs. On arrival there was a Dina 5 envelope with all rules & rules where the liegereservierung not allowed. The complaint at the front desk we were told, that at 6,45 o'clock a security by and the towels einsammle (we didn't see). By the pool were also the loungers from 6 o'clock arranged. It is a beautiful large pool area with a hot tub in the middle. Unfortunately there were broken tiles in the entire pool the very sharp edges, where you could get hurt.

    On the flight we are in santo domingo and had a transfer time of about 1.5 h to the hotel, the takeoff was Punta Cana with a transfer time of about 1 hour. The streets are with the exception of the motorway not in a good condition. The next town (dominicus) is 10-15 minutes on foot distance. Bayahibe with the taxi circa 20 minutes (but not a romantic fishermen's village is, like it in the catalog always described). Outside the complex there are a few small shops, the not recommendable are, as extremely expensive. On the complex there was a iberostarshop, zigarrenshop, souvenir shops and a jeweler. Otherwise in surrounding area apart from a casino and a couple more other hotel areas nothing. Public transportation we didn't use, if you the hotel go, you will immediately after a taxi asked.

We were for the 10. time in ibh and very satisfied as ever. The ibh consists of 7 houses the connected with one another are. In between the restaurants. The rooms are big and very clean. There was nothing to complain. The guest structure in this period from all the countries of south america to Canada, Amerika and russians. The germans are not strongly represented. For cleanliness at the beach great value, although there are always guests everything cups and cutlery on the floor and cigarette butts also. I think that is not good. The poor workers must have the ... dirt then wiped. read more

    The rooms are big enough and are always well cleaned. The air conditioning is quiet and hardly to be heard. We stayed this during the night not turned on, but the balcony door open it was enough. The fridge was always refilled. The only water from the tap not edible is in these countries is actually clear. But to showering and teeth deseam are it. There is nothing to complain about.

    The staff is very friendly and always in a good mood. She are very willing to make an effort to even learn german as victoriano or Antonio The staff is already several years in the operation which a good was capitalized life.     Our sport was for morning 6:30 a. m. swimming in the sea What is unique, since in the sea hardly people are and then a break at the beach confire. The loungers in the first row were not german so early occupied, but other nations. Umbrellas and beach chairs there was also at 09:00 o'clock not more in the first row however Further back already.     As the hotel by the beach lies are only minutes to the beach. The drive from the airport to the hotel takes now only 50 minutes since the highway is finished. That all places circumvented. At the cabins over the path at the other hotel and long around the corner then you get to the village of dominicus with shops also the department store el mundo. There are various ausflugsbüros as Andy and seavis. Whereas seavis special trips has. You can also with the bus of the locals in front of the hotel after bayahibe and la Roman drive there in Jumbo a super department store after american art

Even with the 5. the ihd we were very welcome and satisfied. The gardener had much new excogitated: planting orchid gardens, bouganvilla, the courtyards and so on. Tiles at the pool were newly authorized, external showers were partly renovated, the gym is in a central body newly built and furnished with modern equipment. At the beach: new umbrellas, new pool chairs. The abundant trash/ashtrays were many guests however not used, so that staff the beach raked and sifted has. The cigarettes of the smokers belong in the available ashtray and not in the sand, where the children play. It is ... a bad habit food to the beach chairs and the remainders simply lie to let-bugs. read more

    We had to the front desk again our wunschzimmer in the third building. the room was spacious, clean and was daily cleaned perfectly. That only the missing, is a kosmetikspiegel. Our television didn't work. Mornings at the front desk reported-in the evening we were inquired by telephone and we had to look up-everything perfect.

    The food was always very good, rich, high quality. The new chef and his team are putting new accents. At about 1000 guests and about 400 staff is the quality excellent. On some days we could 5 types of fish food and everything tasted super. Also in the specialty restaurants we were always satisfied. The beverages at the beach bar (yan and Ramon 2) and lobby bar (Ramon 1, eduardo, Carlos) were always consistent. My requirement 'no sugar' was fulfilled.

    The complete staff -, whether reception, cleaning lady, restaurant, bar, entertainment, gardeners, technology and so on. Is very pleasant, attentive and with a few spanish words of us and a friendly appearance is always immediately a smile certainly. Many in the restaurant, at the bar and the housekeeping staff had recognized, even though we only 2 weeks every year there are. That means for us, that the staff over years in the hotel busy and feel comfortable. Tips are definitely not expected but gladly seen. We have for example daily 1 $daily on the pillow and left the greatest placed a handtowel decoration from esmeralda and your colleague found. The room was always cleaned perfectly and the fridge filled.

    You can dare calmly on the beach in the village of dominic to go. There, there are cheap but also very good shops (for example department store el mundo). German speaking desk can reliably with seavis or Andy be booked. Our excursions we booked for years already from Germany over the internet at seavis /Udo Germany.     Room was ok. The zimmermieze has their job well done and was even from and decorative work. Extramiete for a display/necessary safe i think for the price an isolence, but unfortunately there is the often. And every time i propose me on ☺ Bathroom was ok. A small bit of mildew in the shower and the shower did not fix. Is however no 'the end of the world'. The toilet american design worked better than i suspected had (like an airplane bathroom). However the lever was broken and you had to manually again moving backwards, otherwise rippled the water awake for hours before itself.

The orientation is typical of the country and international and not too american. A huge compliment for the preparation of fresh fruit juices. It is just delicious.

    Pool is large, but a little cold for me. Well, it was probably rather a substantial refreshment serve. In the disco i was not. The theater and the events were ok. There was once a Michael Jackson imitator. I felt back and forth wily. On the one hand was the really good, on the other hand felt the matter a little bad. Everybody has to decide for themselves. Good places at the beach are without (the undesirable) reservation rare.

Beautiful well-kept complex with tropical plants and wild flamingos, ducks and peacocks-you think in paradise it could not be more beautiful.     The size of the room (upper floor) was perfectly adequate. The beds were very comfortable. The television we didn't use. The cleaning in the entire room and bathroom was superficially and fell one day completely from. The mini bar was regularly filled.

The ordered water at the leuchtturmbar was partly after chlorine, the water at the lobby bar was partly moldy. We got a reservation for the steak for a evening leave. We were about 10 minutes more and the restaurant was only 1/4 manned, we should, however, up to the time of reservation wait...

    Unfortunately the friendliness limited to the ' simpler employees' like gardeners, waitresses and waiters (except bartender leuchtturmbar ). The slightly higher staff partly with headset at the ear (main restaurant) was only at the entrance. The german 'service', What we only on last day the stay were told, was as security at the entrance the main restaurant and 'wait' point to be addressed. Really this should 'as supervisor' around his. Our check-in took about 2 hours, since room card didn't work. Here ran after 10 hours flight and halsbrechereichen shuttle to the hotel, equipped with one of the front desk staff created sketch about the location of the room, to find out, that the room cards did not work properly programmed were. We have this hotel retreat, as we both's birthday during our stay we had. One of them was even a round. From the side of the hotel management, we were not even birthday greetings-good hospitality?!

    The evening shows were partly very good, but the available places within the chamber absolutely not enough. The loungers at the beach were dirty and not working.     The hotel is located in 1st row to the beach. Depending on the location of the hotel/room either very short distance or a few minutes walk from to the beach. Transfer from Punta Cana International Airport until to the hotel circa 1.5 h in the partly very breakneck pace in the dark. In the hotel area there are 2 shops, which however closed in the evening and a casino. Evenings out of the hotel walk to go is not advisable, as it first, no infrastructure and one second will be charged of dominikanern is addressed, for anything to buy to rent a taxi, etc. The shops in the hotel are very boring, few offer and strong prices. The beach section was nice, but limited. On the one side is the access into the sea by rocky underground lined with sea urchins a bit harder.     We stayed in room 1202 and were with the size and the equipment good. Had 2 very comfortable king-size beds. There the air conditioning super was quiet could at night as well with the area very good sleep. The offered german channels (dw and satellite. 1 or ProSieben) were somewhat very poor, since except messages all records are, several times, sometimes without sound, be played. The cleaning of the rooms was excellent and fast and the maids cleaned every day with the beds and in the bathroom draped 'towels in animal shaped were placed' for surprises.     The size the hotel was hard to get used to, aberso you had to are perforce move, which with the rich meals was an advantage. The beach was always clean, aberins water you had to always a 'stage' down. For persons, not so well on foot are a small problem. So we were from 07.-21.01. 2013 there, it was simply great. It really has everything worked well and the service and ambience were great, something else you can't really say. The little welcome enwände the read here are, are not comprehensible for us! The cleanliness true, the food true, the beverages vote the shows and animation are good, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is definitely in great shape. If you not seen before, to finger! The ihd is a large hotel area with 502 rooms, spread over 7 buildings. 5 with three, 2 with two floors. All with small courtyard. The buildings are on the left and on the right a beautiful garden and pool area and ends right at the beautiful beach. In between there were again and again fountain and biotopes, or teichanlagen. Everything seems to be very solid and clean, is always fostered and maintained. To our time, january and february 2013 were very lots of guests from France and Italy, some from the USA, kanda, Spain, the minority were the german-speaking ... guests from Germany, Austria and the Switzerland. The ihd all-inclusive was offered. Wlan gives it unfortunately only at a charge. For example: 3 American Dollar for 2 hours, consume within 24 hours. It could be better. Atm, currency exchange, the bags scales everything available. read more

    The first 3 nights, before the cruise, we were in a standard room. Room size absolutely alright, air conditioning, temperature not adjustable but strength dreistufig adjustable, ceiling fan, 2 large single beds, can be. 2 nightstand. Flat screen tv (if you need), well-stocked minibar. Ironing board and iron in the closet. Enough slopes and extra storage space. Safety deposit box -for a fee, 2 American Dollar/pt-in the closet. A small table. Large bathroom with a shower, large mirror, toilet, exhaust air fan. Fix a foehn with the vanity. Balcony. Junior suite for 14 days the cf. Slightly larger than the standard room, additionally folding couch. Bathtub full shower. Fix mounted hair dryer-the sort with hose - in the bathroom. Room was cleaned daily and adorned. The curtains drapes, once a week were the rooms with insect repellent ausgesprüht. The only to complain about is the number of plug sockets. 1 in the bathroom, 1 in the room. It is therefore appropriate to bring verteilerstecker, if you several things at the same time put in me. A plug adapters is needed. For the ladies i would like to mention, that the föhnleistung not excellent. For longer hair you have, according to my wife, problems. Own foehn for 110 volt be suitable.

    Everyone of the staff is really friendly, engaged, motivated, happy, in a good mood, as if you yourself have a vacation would. We had the feeling, if the guest contently and comfortable, this is also on the staff to. We had language no problems, although we do not speak spanish. With english you are absolutely through. Some speak german, Henry at the front desk even perfect. We had our first check-in, we were 3 days the ihd, then a week cruise, then 14 days the ihd, a room get assigned, which was mediocre. The ' bellboy ' was very engaged in the search for a new room, brought us all necessary documents, we just need to wait. After about 45 minutes, we had a free room. Henry at the front desk apologized formally and promised a great room for the stay after the cruise. We received then a junior suite on the complex 2. just perfect. Nevertheless a small deduction. The cleaning the room is perfect, the rooms daily decorated differently, minibar after needs filled up. That's how it should be.

    The entertainment team were great nice people. Always for a rendezvous and/or scherzchen is required. The loungers at the beach were in good condition, the majority of palm-roofed umbrellas, which thank god waterproof were-we had some heavy rain-, as well. For the loungers by the pool there were mats. In these areas also everything was clean and again and again was cleaned, litter bin emptied, wiped, cleaned. Top. The large pool area a dream. Of course you could say, that here and there a tiles-piece of the jigsaw is missing, but that would be erbsenklauben. The water temperature perfect for me, for my wife a bit too cool. The showers around the pool were all clean, partly newly, some old blechduschen during our stay were dismantled and replaced by new ones. They always somewhere herumgemalt - handtuchausgabehaus is now yellow umbrellas newly restocked or replaced. Never disturbing but important.     Because of the newly opened highway one the hotel in about 40 minutes drive from the Punta Cana International Airport. The village dominicus is reachable on foot in 10 minutes, either on the beach, before the Hotel Viva Wyndham right the road along. Or the hotel, left the road along. One selects zweiteren way one comes at a casino, and a disco past. In dominicus there are some shops for souvenirs, an atm, currency exchange, the office of quepe -tours (Andy) etc. The hotel is directly at the beach, what right, facing the sea, at a public beach with, then borders the beach the Wyndham chain. From our side a very recommendable hotel. Extra wishes were immediately fulfilled. The staff's hospitality is almost unbeatable- even without giving any tip! Particularly praiseworthy the service in the main restaurant- jazmin and keny, our cleaning lady of room 7101 and the entertainers at 'lady gaga' An almost perfect holiday, as you can only wish it to be with a dreamlike environment. A small downside is the beach, especially for older people, as it is very steep and difficult from the water to come. But there is the beautiful and large pool. First of all i should like to the staff mention. The people are friendly, very accommodating, do their job with great pleasure! Thanks to you! You are simply great! The hotel is great, spacious and very nice laid out! It was never too crowded, whether at the beach, by the pool or in the restaurant. Always enough space for all! The garden is very nice and really well looked after! There is many beautiful birds in the garden, as peacock, hummingbird, flamingo and other. At all the whole hotel is very well-kept. Possibilities for recreation there are also plentiful, including ... tennis courts, fitness room, sporting activities and so on the evening program in the theatre was very entertaining. There is also a disco. The offer in restaurants is very varied, everyone finds the, what he likes. And it was really 24 hours! It was a great vacation! Gladly again! A wonderful vacation in a fantastic hotel. From the morning until the evening whirs a armada of staff on the grounds around the complex in a bilderbuchhaften condition. The staff are always very friendly and always in a good mood, which i the vacation nor beautiful made. The variety at the buffet is big, only the hot vegetarian corner, evenings a little more imaginative are. It was in the Iberostar Puerto Plata significantly better. But the fruit buffet, which drafted by a chef stocked, the more than made up for it. Constantly maracuja, papaya, pineapple, mango, bananas, different melons, uglys ... and fruit, which i still not at all knew-simply heavenly! Who fish loves, comes fully at its expense, always freshly grilled and tasteful. All a couple of days there were lobster, on these days you saw queues at the buffet, apart from that was the buffet never crowded. The beach is great, falls but after 3 meters to hip depth from, old people or small children had with the 'stage' already once problem. Who sensitive feet, should bathing shoe take, mussels and corals may already times zwacken. Bathing shoe are a plus, if you catamaran sailing, kayaking or want to surf, which free is possible, because the ablegeort is very rocky! Barefoot is the very painful to impossible! I have almost everywhere full marks, because the hotel really doing everything it can, to a make the vacation as pleasant as possible. The only, what is a pity, is the rule, that no chairs or umbrella are reserved, no implementation took place. In the morning around 10 were all umbrella reserved with towels, but only 10% of the people were there. With good weather not a problem, because also shade by shrubs and palms abundant is, when it rains, it is annoying. As we then decided the reservations ignored. read more
