One of three very nice hotels the Bernardin group exactly in the middle of Portoroz and Piran (each 15 minutes on foot). We felt very comfortable and can all hotels ( simply because the location) the group recommend. The only thing to complain about are a bit too small room for this upscale, although the balcony with the great view and the bathroom much again good. read more

The hotel is directly at the beach and is for pedestrian-impaired persons very suitable. Every day you get fresh towels and on hotel's own beach are always 4 lifeguard you the loungers and umbrella bring. Chairs and umbrellas are sufficiently available, although there again and again persons is the loungers early morning in the first row reserve and not until the afternoon to come. Although it is a five star hotel is, is at least for breakfast no long pants necessary. The breakfast is fabulous and the selection huge. Dinner we didn't consume anything else. In approximately 200 meters are ... two taverns where favorably and well can be eaten. Several times daily drives a small train between Piran and Portoroz where you for a small contribution can get. read more

A somewhat outdated hotel, good standard but no Grandhotel. We are for a few years again and again times here, beautiful address, va a great location right at the waterfront. The view of the beautiful clean sea is priceless. The great location you can make beautiful walks - amongst others also in the great town of piran. Or in the summer simply for swimming. Directly from the hotel - and approximately 10 meters further right into the water purely \u263a
The new wellness area is nice, va in case of bad weather worth their weight in gold. Whether he through ... steady care in a couple of years looks good, will hope to be!
Tip in case of bad weather one comes as a guest the grandhotel benefit from the swimming pool to the front of the complex located, free of charge to use. read more

We were middle September for a short beach holiday in hotel Bernardin and this really enjoyed it. It was still very hot, we have the wellness area not used but inspected. Fitness room with new devices, sauna, steam room, showers, small but very nice indoor swimming pool and beauty treatments of all kinds. Breakfast and dinner buffet with a very large selection of different warm dishes and salads, spreads and so on lots of fresh fruit and delicious dessert. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in every area. Drink prices in the hotel was a bit high, outside in ... the surrounding restaurants Well. The hotel is located in a beautiful location right on the sea (pedestrian zone) with shops and other hotels, restaurants, cafes, casino and so on our room (five. Floor) was small, but it was everything that you need and very clean, good beds, nice bathroom, small balcony with view of the sea and good adjustable air conditioning. Only downside for us was the shower in the bathtub. Elderly or handicapped people can't climb into the tub, or no longer get out of, as it is far too high. We're sorry, but it is in many hotels so not only here in the 'five' star hotel. There were excursions by pirate ship to Izola. Nice drive along the coast to a charming place. On foot or by bus to give Piran (about 15 minutes footpath) Piran is definitely worth seeing. Concrete bathing beach and a small corridor, over the bridge to the children's entertainment and care program or via a staircase leads up to the water. Rough stones, so bathing shoes are recommended. We enjoyed it very much and we recovered good. We'll gladly come back. read more

Was in the course of a meeting here and can recommend the hotel to everyone.
I could only evaluate it in my opinion, not as a tourist, the holiday here.
But: I have heard many people in the hotel, that it is in the best way suitable either. read more

The room was filthy, the shower moldy, the single chair in our double room broke the first time someone sat in it. We stayed 9 nights and the sheets were not changed a single time. The food varied between poor and acceptable, anything leftover was served again the next day. The staff was extremely unpleasant. Any complaints were ignored, even a blocked hall door, preventing us from accessing our room or others from leaving, was not opened, frustrated (and very strong) guests finally wrenched it open after about 45 minutes. Maybe you would like it if you want to take ... dogs with you. The dogs in the room next to ours barked through the night, and tried to attack our children. We were not allowed to change rooms. read more

Large hotel with 11 floors. Lobby very nice and clean. Great new roof terrace with sea view. We had booked a normal double room. The hotel room was not too big, toilet and bathroom weren't divided. The balcony is not large but due to the design (built into the rock) are all rooms had ocean view. The cleanliness of the room at first glance, is available, on the second look ok. Could be a bit better. In the bathroom was the crown molding, they but immediately addressed to announce at the front desk. We had booked half-board. Unfortunately, not even ... the coffee served to the breakfast table. The evening buffet was for my liking maximum 3 stars. Much pasta, gnocchi with cream and quick "full-maker" as Majonaisesalat. Also meat with Souce and fish were available, but sadly only seldom warm. The service staff was very friendly, but unfortunately not very attentive. All in all we were got full every night of five star hotels but we are a other type of cuisine. (Not cookie-cutter carelessly prepared food) The dining room is very large and very high with for us, despite Dekorationsbemühungen, rather the flair of a Auffanghalle. However we had a Fenstertisch and the view of the sun set across Rome's and the sea is compensated. Mainly German-speaking and Italian guests. The hotel has a large beach section (only by a small pedestrian area separated from the hotel) with enough pool chairs and towels and umbrellas. Two sunbathing areas are also available. The beach is clean and easy to get into the sea. (Which in Slovenia yes isn't the case everywhere. ) The in-house "pool" is a success. Not very large seawater but with good factor. Also the sauna area is very nice but you have to pay 15 € in an hour!!!! want to use the sauna area. Otherwise, you can get, I think the bathing area of the hotel and the villas Historion park for free use. bikes rental is nearby and reassonably priced ok. 1 hour. 4€ per. P. Bikes are highly recommended if you do not like to walk. The hotel is 25-30 minutes walk from the center of Piran Portorse and a bit away. In the immediate vicinity there is the hotels restaurants include and also a good deal. If you want to dinner in one of the restaurants from you buffet Logoff and got a rain checks for the restaurants. The age of the hotel looks you especially in the rooms and the food could be improved. We had luck that no seminars etc. were and could enjoy the quietness of this hotel. It is a very quiet hotel, no disco or party is also nearby. well suitable for relaxing. All in all it was a beautiful holiday. The price-performance was ok. read more

The hotel is not very fresh you should know before you book. The hotel now Bernardin means, opened a few years ago named. It was said used to be different. The hotel was formerly Histrion actually time the Bernardin. This is a hotel with 244 rooms on 10 floors. Interestingly is the front desk at the 11th floor. The rooms are located in the 3 -tier infiniti hotel below. On level "0" is the beach. We had booked half board, not use this. More about that later. Breakfast is included in the price. The hotel is still despite its age ... in good condition. Perhaps there is the facade a bit more since the rest. But all in all ok. The 1985 Continually updated is international. Many Italians, slovenes, Russian, German, Austrian. The cleanliness of the hotel is good, the room cleaning a bit superficial, but still in order the unreasonable. read more

The Grand hotel Bernardin is a typical Congress and Veranstaltungshaus, but also for a bath and pleasure stay quite good. The location directly on the ocean with the appropriate view that can't be beat, the rooms are with this in mind. With a repeating experience but you noticed that the interior the best years behind it. The service is perfect and the staff efficient, even with full booking. The right in front of the house, the beach is well maintained (but no sand). In Portoroz and Piran shopping, restaurants, casinos, harbor, promenade ... read more
