As a stopover on a round trip by Canada we chose the high country inn in banff. The price was not very cheap, but less than most hotels in banff.
The first impression was moderate, the hotel has in appearance and finishes no clear style. The staff is as the head of the youthcamp dressed, some things were renovated, others not, so were for example the doors the room all new, the kitchen in the room had a 80. years charm exactly like the carpet, leather chairs and glaszwischenwand in our 'junior suite'.
The bed was with white linens, very ... clean and had a wonderful sleep comfort and the bathroom was good.
The breakfast buffet was rather simple, unfortunately again everything in paper cups, plastic cutlery and plates. There was bread, coffee, orange and grapefruit juice, milk, cereal, and coating: peanut butter, butter, jam, honey, philadelphia. Cleanup had everyone.
Internet access, parking and local calls were included. We had the junior suite selected, the photos on drittbuchungsseiten are fudging and didn't match the original.
On the whole rather a motel for price, but for a stopover alright and in 5 minutes walking distance to the center. read more

The hotel is basic and clean. The staff was very young, helpful and very friendly. We felt as mature couples still very comfortable. The breakfast room is not very comfortably furnished. with waffles, toast, cream cheese, muffins and fresh fruit salad, jam and maple syrup. The coffee tasted us good, also the juice was ok. Cheese and sausage you can buy at the nearby Safeway. The room was comfortable and stylishly furnished. The pool and the two hot tubs were clean and toasty warm. Towels you can hire them from reception. The ski bus stop is right outside the door. ... The buses were always on time and very positive, it was well organization. You can easily and quickly reach three ski areas. We would go back any time. read more
