The hotel is situated in a good condition, however the beach is even for guests only running with the shuttle of the hotel reachable. The times have been defined and thus are spontaneous decisions. Requirements regarding the food should not be too high. We found it adequate. Organized trip travel and were to be recommended. Rooms with view of the sea is definitely recommendable. read more

the hotel lies a little above the through road with a magnificent view over the bay. Behind the hotel running railtracks is hardly disturbing. The pool is( fall) in the early afternoon in the shade. Should be emphasized the praise-worthy cleanliness in the hotel, the buildings and the total outdoor area. read more

A relaxing holiday in Calabria - Italy

Santa Lucia in Parghelia near the town of Tropea in Calabria, isa medium size hotel, with impeccably kept surrounding gardens. The hotel itself is meticulously clean and well kept, offering a number of accommodation options. I have stayed three times at this hotel once on my 25th wedding anniversay, once with another couple, and the last time with my children and fiancees. Every time we had very comfortable accommodation arrangements. The rooms are spacious, and the ones infront offering fanatic seaviews with big balconies, worth every penny you pay extra for them.
The pool area is surrounded by beautiful gardens ..., and is very well kept with a hydromassage section, serviced by a pool bar and offering a good place for relaxation.
The restaurant is quite large and nicely decorated, and there is also a comfortable TV room which we found useful on those evenings when it was not possible to enjoy the cool air in the gardens.
All rooms are very well appointed giving you a mediterranean feeling with their decor, complete with marble bathrooms and with all 4* amenities.
There is also a tennis court which we enjoyed.
The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus service both to the nearby town of Tropea and the beach. read more

The staff is friendly and the hotel is maintaned to a very high level.
Food is very good and its nice to be served at table.
Language can be an insignificant barrier and you can easily make up with hand gestures. How Italian.
Cleanliness seems to be the number 1 comandment in this hotel.
Make sure to get a seaview room, it is breathtaking.
The main road is close to the hotel but it will not disturn your holiday. The rooms are situated well away.
The pool area is also impecabbly kept and the water cristal clear.
5 minutes from ... parghelia and 15 mins from the well know Tropea.
will be back next year. read more

Now for the third time in this hotel. The area and the rooms were always clean and in good condition. As we knew that the hotel was not so great, we were not surprised. The breakfast was Spartan. Soft bread rolls, cheap brew coffee, jam and honey in Portionenpackungen. The dinner was okay. Of the seven days we were still four days in Tropea food. They should have done. Tropea is great. The hotel is rather three stars, but no fourth 100% the relaxation factor. Bus is the best private beach is the best hotel you should, as we must ... have a scooter rent. Fun 100%. read more

I with my friend there, our next summer vacation to book, and there we are a second time for this hotel decided, we want finally times one review deliver.
Large, well-kept hotel complex with a clean pool, in which wonderful relaxation left. Although it a really large hotel is, it was a very personal atmosphere and we felt well pampered.
For breakfast it was a 3-course menu ( with a choice of 3 dishes) for the dinner and if you evenings after 'home' came, it was very quickly served. Especially tasty we found the fish dishes as fresh from the ... sea fished! Also the breakfast with many typical sausage- and cheese and fresh fruit from the region was sublime. With a shuttle bus from the hotel, several times a day, you could comfortably after Tropea (very sweet town) or at the beach drive. The staff were nice and accommodating, especially charmingly the drivers from the shuttle bus. If we our Italian not weiterkamen, were all very tried their German or English herauszukramen. Excursions in the somewhat more distant surroundings, for example in the mountains, we have a hired car made, not very cheap, but it is worthwhile definitely! All together a great stay, very good value for money, best service, so thoroughly recommend. read more

The standard of the hotel is rather three stars. The breakfast is sub-standard, the dinner was good.
If one is aware of these issues and is able to live with them, the hotel offers for this area a great price/performance ratio. read more

We spent nine days in September in the hotel Santa Lucia. The price/performance ratio are very clean and the hotel and the room for Italian conditions super. To the beach after Tropea a hotel bus drove there but we had booked a rental car from the airport. The is useful, if you want to be independent and also times where else. The breakfast is typically Italian. Croissants, yogurt, cereals, two types of ham, 1 sort of cheese (is with the time but something boring, because each day the same), etc., but was more inedible the filter. Espresso or eggs can ... be ordered in addition (for an extra charge).
The most disappointing of were we the dinner. You believe, you were eating in italy can't go wrong, because pasta etc. always super tasty but it was almost all tastes and carelessly prepared-without herbs, schrumpelige tomatoes etc. too bad, we had us on the Calabrian kitchen so fantastic forward. (We went also times in Tropea food-can you really try the Calabrian cuisine). The staff in the dining room was on the whole us the older guests nice (from 60) more heed and we only between 30 to 40 that are (the chicks) in this hotel!. The resume is, we recommend the hotel but only with breakfast! read more

With the other conditions, directly between street with much traffic and railroad line location, you can arrange to have nnoch, if not the very monotonous, unimaginative and miserable breakfast would have destroyed the general atmosphere. Regional, fresh fruit crowned this boring breakfast on any of the days, although on the ground in very good quality and convenient to have. The coffee was so disgusting, I chose it, and other places to enjoy better out to my cappuccino, the hotel as a high fee to have was with. Each day the same same ham and the same cheese. Absolutely wretched!
The ... dinner menu was more Viefalt announced, the fish dishes were quite good.,
Otherwise disappointing for gourmets.
Another holiday there is it for us not to give. read more

We were in Santa Lucia May in Parghelia and it was unfortunately very bad weather, we had three days only sun, the we had to spend in the pool. The beach is 5 kilometer away in Tropea, one is but several times daily with a shuttle bus and in/out privileges. Due to bad weather were almost all the excursions, were offered the, from. This bound us to the hotel and you can not much experience-no or no entertainment and no sports center and the next town over a busy road to reach to foot. The room had no window, and ... was very cold and damp, but conveniently furnished, with a TV and a bed, a chair, but no more seating. Meal gave it in the morning buffet, Italian breakfast is rather sparse, but you can always find what. Would be desirable also something fresh as fruit and vegetables have, unfortunately was not available this. In the evening it was always three meals as a starter to choice and three main courses and a dessert. The dinner was always very tasty. Conclusion: the hotel is not maintained, but without a rental car is very remote and you can always rely on the shuttle to Tropea. read more

Actually a nice hotel with friendly staff. The guests consisted to 75% of Italians, therefore also entertainment or entertainment in Italian.
We would select the hotel not more, because we the entertainment programme which was always at the pool, very rewarding found satisfactory. In principle to loud and for our taste something tacky. In the evening it was only the pool bar, until 10:00 P.M. loud entertainment here for children, 12:00 P.M. the same for adults between then. This kind of noisy Italians may find entertainment less rewarding their? In the village of Parghelia were it ... about two kilometer-to walk to far and dangerous because of the road. We found the good multiple transfer to the beach during the day and after Tropea. In the evening only to 11:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and back to Tropea. Next time we would select a hotel, however, in spite of a rental car in town.
The breakfast was adequate, but not tasty. Different food was from the three dinner menus were very good, all in all, you could not complain. read more

It was just great. I was looking for some cultural exploration and a great rest, which is what I had. The bus schedule was great and free to and from Tropea- the town with a small museum, shops, cafes and banks and three beaches to choose from. The views were magnificent. My room did not have a view, but was always clean, with air conditioning and large enough for me, although it had a TV I didn't watch it. I took the tour to Volcano, Lipari and Stromboli, which was a great boat trip stopping at each island, it was ... most interesting to me to see the earth, in this way. The views from the hotel were an artists paradise. The pool area was a real sizzler during the day so I would rest there from 1700 to 1830 and then get ready for dinner and remained in town or at the beach all day near the sea, which was great and somewhat cooler. The water is crystal clear and beaches had snack bar and toilet facilities. I also took a boat trip and took the train to Reggio one day- a beautiful port city where you can see Sicily from the coast. It was a great hotel, food was always great and sufficient choice on the menu each day, the staff very polite and always very friendly. They stored my soda when I purchased it in town, as buying in town saved me some money on drinks and always provided me with a glass of ice when they knew I was coming from town to sit near the pool and coffee after dinner. read more
