The mariott hotel Jordan valley dead sea is a large Arabic-style hotel. One finds several pools, as well as a chargeable SpA. the ambience in the hotel is rather dark, but already refined. however, we were with the service not satisfy the hotel is of a four star hotel. read more

the room was also dark with carpeted floors. Everything made a rather older impression. The beds were large, but you had the feeling on the mattress to swim. the available made bathrobes spotteten every description: all loops were torn down, there were hanging threads way, very old! You saw this as a scarecrow! the only possibility is they throw away and replaced!

  • Gastronomy
    3.0

There are three restaurants. A buffet restaurant in the basement, a steak restaurant, the however always was closed (according to the information but should open)., as well as in Italian restaurant at the front of the sea. we once eaten and a risotto elected. It was so much Parmesan it, that unfortunately I was bad. You could not eat really. for breakfast the above problems with the staff, the ngebot was but otherwise good.

  • Service
    2.0

the staff comes mostly from Jordan. The motto is' we would, if we could ', but unfortunately nobody could. the front desk is slow and little accommodating. we had a problem with the air conditioning (we were both already freezed few times and wanted to in the evening somewhat einheizen, since it sensitive fresh became was). After the first request at the front desk did absolutely nothing. After the second call was a completely ratloser employee skilled, the got farther. Then came just three staff -has been addressed but nothing. The offered room changing we did not want to perform. on the next day the front desk is a note completed, but that was it. We are sure he has thrown away. in the restaurant were all ' pseudo-friendly'. On the first day I gave a tip, on the next day was one friendly. When we then no further gifts, we were on the next day with no warning punished! all staff were extremely unmotivated!

the pools are nice, we could but due to the poor weather not use. the SPA is basically not bad, you pay for but about 22 euros extra. the employee, the US the spa should reveal could not English. there is a main pool with beach chairs, with partially dirty duvets stringed were. It is only a towel available and you'll have a trademark to deliver. the salt water swimming pool is nice, the salt burns on the skin. we went to the spa is not really felt at ease. In Austria we many better SPAs. For the 30- minütoge massage for I 53 euros and she was the half not worth!

the hotel lies directly at the dead sea. In this area there are several international hotels. The place Sowayma itself has no touristic infrastructure. One can eat in one of the hotels, if you have a car available in the dead sea Panaorma complex. we went to dinner twice in the adjacent Mövenpick hotel, there is the food better, a convenient and the staff friendly!

If you want to relax on the dead sea or a skin disease (for example psoriasis) alleviation searches, you can spend a nice time at the hotel. The hotel is very clean, only the stairways, if you want to use it, are unfortunately dirty. The access to the dead sea is good. Bathing shoes were offered by the hotel, but you should bring your own. Some beach chairs on the beach were a bit broken. At the weekends it was full, otherwise empty total. Beach chairs at the pools there were enough. The evening buffet was refilled until late in ... the evening again and again. Drinks wishes fulfilled. Shops for buying does not exist, only a small shop, which is too expensive. But in the neighboring hotel there was a fair shop. read more

Luxury hotel on the Pebble beach of the dead DEA archived

A luxury top-hotel with access to a beach area of the dead sea (about 150 meters 50 times). Nice resort, very well-kept park, great pools, two of them for adults only (!). Indoor swimming pool with salt water, many very comfortable lounge chairs, a kümmerndes staff without tip-greed. Sophisticated ambience, no party people. International guests, mostly only for 2-3 days/the Syria and Jordan tour undertake, hardly any individual guests. Most nutritious buffet, otherwise: relatively high extra charges (drinks, also bottled water). In the surroundings there is nothing to see. To Amman is about 40 kilometer (uphill, of-400m to slightly above ... zero metres). Great hotel was pretty to see, the 'kick' is bathing in the dead sea. read more

Of a five stars hotel a large hotel chain I would have expected more service. The service in the bar served before the meal within 45 minutes of no aperitif. The free after-dinner drink made up only partially, especially just a little in the bill went wrong. In the restaurant tried several staff members around us, but it took a long time, a wine list and a recommendation. The water in the bottle on the table, not even foreign language competence. The buffet in the evening was plentiful but rather unimaginative, without large highlights. Fabulous food Zwischenzeitlcih went from, the ... refill took a long time, has been replaced with 'simpler' dishes partly for a mid-range hotel would be okay former, but not for a higher category. The hotel area was spread over several floors and is very nicely decorated and versatile. However, it was in the various fields of different music scenes, which due to their volume colorful overlapped location. Very quiet there was only directly at the dead sea. The rooms were well equipped with a large beds. Unfortunately, our view was only for the construction right next door and over night the Lich on the balcony do not clear, so we had to close the curtain down, in order to be able to sleep. A great location but with some limitations. read more
