The hotel is already somewhat outdated. However everything clean and tidy. The rooms are unfortunately the walls were a bit thin. The food in the hotel restaurant is very on the British hotel-guests orientated. The Spanish kitchen we missed. In about 15 minutes on foot one is in the center of Nerja, with restaurant and bars and the balcony de Europa. It was a pleasant stay in Nerja and in this hotel. We would gladly come again. read more

I`ve given this hotel the top rating of 6 suns because I truly believe that there is not a better 3 star hotel anywhere near Nerja.
Over the winter months the hotel was closed for refurbishment and boy what a good job they`ve done.Each room has been decorated and all new furniture and fittings added,this and a flat screen tv on which you can receive various channels.There`s subdued lighting as a final expensive looking touch.The hotel has also installed new bathroom suites in each room and everything is kept spotlessly clean by the lovely ladies who ... come each day and make-up your bed and tidy.
The whole hotel is kept clean and always has been in the many years that I`ve been visiting.
There is a new indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi along with a gym if you fancy a workout.
Around the outdoor pool (always being cleaned each morning) there is new and expensive looking furniture,very modern.There`s nothing nicer than sitting inthe sun and have one of the attentive waiters bring you a nice cold drink or even a light meal.
Everyone that works at the hotel are pleasant and friendly and should you have a problem(most unlikely) tell reception and voila it is fixed.
All meals are buffet style wlth the breakfast being a real treat,there`s just about everything you could wish for and perhaps a surprise or two.Evening meals are plentyful and always consists of various salads,soup,pasta etc. plus
various meats and fish and of course vegetables.
I would put the hotel in the small to medium size and it attracts many British,German ans Scandanavian visitors along with Spaniards too,but mainly British.Fortunately the people who stay at this hotel are in the main responsible adults there is nothing to attract teenagers or indeed children.
So to sum up you get a 6 sun hotel for a 3 star price. read more

No mold (or at least consistent coated) also no musty smell and-neither in the room nor the bathroom.
Otherwise but rather run down and not motivated.
Cleaning only on the surface.
At least: hot water comes fast!
City bus stops in front of the hotel; if (bus) with public transport wants to go further, about 1 kilometer the must walk along the main road.
Our room lay to the road back, were but quite far above (2. Top floor), and the new highway provides for discharge.
Guests are (at least to that date) mainly British retirees, but also Spanish, German ..., Swiss and french.
Almost only english and Spanish speaking therefore channels (exception: ZDF; partly also DSF).
Hotel staff speaks perfect english mostly, German less.
(Half board) the quality and taste of the food was well arranged-for example, no nutella and breakfast; but it is always refilled, and the (including house wine) like most Okay; cereals are horrible.
Large supermarket right across the street. read more

The hotel, that a bit in the years come is, meets all times. the room are large, the bathroom is also okay in terms of size. Cleanliness is after German standard, however, could be improved.
The pool is large enough to swim. To the beach it was about 1 kilometer, but to foot rather bad. No problem walked, since it steep downhill. Back but very hard to walk.
The location of the hotel is a little outside of the place or on the edge of town. A car but can I recommend, since the bus connections are not so great.

The hotel is located outside the small town as stated. It met all the descriptions given by Holiday Jack. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to wish for. There is an incredible variety at night: Fish, meat, vegetables, salads, desserts, etc. One could not try everything. The city was beautiful. read more
