A very clean and beautiful hotel in a central location in London. The subway is only 5 minutes away by foot, and the hotel lies in a quiet side street. The staff were very hard-working and helpful. The breakfast buffet is manageable, but for the price, more than reasonable and everything was stats replenished. For a city break is this hotel very recommendable. read more

Small and very clean hotel. Like in England usual the rooms are very small, but sufficient. Staff was always very friendly and outgoing. Even for our not yet english-speaking children there not a problem your concern is understandable to make it clear, it was very nice referred to them. Around the hotel there is very lots of bars us restaurants, and small shops. The tube is a stone's throw away. read more

The hotel is in every corner renovated, our family room lay down in the hotel: the consequences were to be heard. Until about 11:00 P. M. getrampelt and the klackern from trolleys on our heads and the quite loud. Constantly the slamming of doors and the banging of doors. Stomping in the hallway. From 7:30 A. M. morning handwerkerlärm in addition. The full program drill, vacuum etc. And the crowning of the whole was the delivery of laundry each night the staircase directly in front of our windows, the ancient and drafty was. There were all the massive ... sacks simply with us down the stairs littered. It was just bad. For 3 nights, it was just marginal, since sleeping is also important for a nice holiday. At the front desk through such a complaint only stylish drüberweggeschaut. For me was the horror. read more

Perfect for a city break-in a central but quiet location

The hotel is perfect for city trips. We are even in the afternoon (15 minutes) on foot in the Portobello road Notting Hill gone. You can be reached in about five minutes to two tube stations different lines (Bayswater and Queensway and water) within easy walking distance. From Heathrow is you with the tube (not the expensive! Express) in about 40 minutes with only one change since, has only two, 90 pound just cost (here is the oyster card to be recommended, cheaper and more comfortable is it not). When, as in our case at the weekends in our district ... and circle line was the fixed and the water was closed Bayswater, we were glad, the central line to have right nearby. If the small extra charge for a so-called garden view rooms don't mind, got a very clean relatively newly renovated room, with freshly renovated bathroom (typically on the small side but everything). Our room was on the fourth floor with elevator. In the night it was so quiet, that the window to the park similar Hof could open, although in the next side street right what was going on, until late in the evening. The breakfast for six pounds per person we have not taken, but the Starbucks or Pret a manager right next door at the Queensway street breakfast. There is also a very nice pub with delicious fish and chips and steak dinner in a typical pub atmosphere at the end of the day. Interesting was also, that in the room a plug for euro plug was blocked. You could load the mobile phone or camera battery without the United Kingdom adapter. Safe, refrigerator and hair dryer were available, as well as there were enough clothes hangers (at least for three days). The front desk is staffed 24 o'clock. The young people were all very friendly (as you treat others as that is how it comes back!). The day before our departure I wanted to print on the Internet access in the lobby (15 minutes for 50 pence)-Lufthansa/boarding cards for those flight. Unfortunately, you cannot save on the computers there and nothing also nothing, there is still a need for action. The very nice young man at the front desk I just borrowed private apple-book, to print the tickets on the hotel printer; certainly not trivial. read more

We were already 2008 once in this hotel. Then there was being renovated. The property is now completely renovated. The rooms are very small, that was the only negative, what I can say about this hotel. The rooms were very clean, the bathroom is great. The towels were changed every day and it was clean. There is also a great new breakfast room with a really absolutely acceptable breakfast, with fruit juices, coffees you, sausage, cheese, yogurt, cereals, eggs. Thus absolutely great for a good start into the day in London. I can absolutely recommend this hotel, the location can't ... be beat top, the prices are for London absolutely okay and the hotel has revamped its image properly really. read more

Really beautiful hotel in a quiet Corner of London. We had a room with a garden view and it was gorgeous. Kettle with instant coffee and tea for every day. Bathroom clean, just like the rest of the pretty equipped room. The room itself was quite small, but more than adequate! Is directly parallel to the Queensway, where there are numerous shops, restaurants and a shopping center velvet cinema gives. Stop Baywater foot super reachable. Again at any time! read more

After reading several bad reviews, I was almost inclined to rebook on another hotel. Luckily I am gut instinct followed! According to a lady at the front desk are now all the rooms have been renovated. We were given three in a quadruple room, the was not huge, but totally sufficient. Space to put bags was enough. Closet with safe. Hair dryer as well as water heater and Kaffeeutensilien available. Bathroom with shower and including soap, shampoo, shower gel. Cleanliness was totally okay. read more

Considering that it be a 2 star hotel, I can only give the Note "very good". Coffeemaker, hair dryer, safe, telephone and TV available. No air conditioning, but windows to open. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. As already mentioned, the room was not huge, but perfectly adequate.

  • Gastronomy

The breakfast room is located in the basement (where no doubt be guest room to find). The breakfast for GBP 3.00 was completely in order. Although there was no fresh fruit (preserved fruit salad), otherwise was much available: toast (also whole wheat), small croissants, bacon, sausage, cheese, boiled eggs, jam, honey, Nutella, butter, different sorts of muesli, juices (decent! ) and different sorts of coffee. Even though the hotel was full, we never had a problem to find a clean table.

The staff is not "overly friendly", but our concerns have been respected and questions to our full satisfaction. Very convenient: The existing luggage room can be used for free.

The automated door opens and you find the reception on your left. Unfortunately there are two chairs behind the reception so you are barely noticed by the front desk staff. The area behind the desk looks like a mess which does not leave a very good first impression. All rooms are accessible by lift, the hallways are pretty narrow. The door in the room does not have any chain locks. They are not soundproof, so looking for a good night's rest please ask for a room at the very end of the hallway. Rooms had newly been refurbished, they are ... small but OK for a city trip. The rooms all seem to be en suite, the sink underneath the mirror is super small though. The smell in the bathroom unfortunately is not neutral. Slight traces of mould on the windows that do not stay open. The so called kingsize bed is only 1.2 metres wide. In my eyes way too small for two persons but apparently standard in London. The breakfast room is located in the lower floor. Coffee comes from the machine, all you find on the buffet is toast, salted butter, cheddar cheese, jam and marmelade and some cereals. One should better cancel the breakfast and find some good food in the area. Guests from all over the world seem to be staying there, even the staff is multinational - no single English person working there. read more

Contrary to the experience of others I was not happy with the service at all. Not knowing whether we would settle the bill in cash or by credit card we were asked to pay the whole stay without being given any options. Credit card payment costs an additional 3 % of the amount. Deciding to pay cash and wanting a refund costs another 3 %, being deducted from the actual credit. Changing reservations costs 5 %. One is getting charged for everything, even internet costs £1 per hour if you bring your own laptop, £2 per hour using the provided PC in the lobby. The staff is not trained in hospitality and complaint handling. Unfortunately the management seems to train people to consider their guests as cheaters and walk outs. After the very bad check in experience we wanted to change rooms. This was not possible because the hotel apparently was fully booked. The "kingsize" bed was only 120 cm wide. Duvet cover had holes.

The location is great! Bayswater is a well-maintained quarter of the upper middle class. From Heathrow can continue to the hotel by tube in about 1 hour to the Heathrow Airport Express in about 30 minutes (each one change). The hotel is 3 minutes walk from Bayswater tube station (10 mins) to Piccadilly Circus. It is set in a typical Square, so there is a small garden area right in front of the hotel. The main street that leads to the tube station, also has several shops (souvenirs, clothing, shoe shops, pharmacy), restaurants (British, vegetarian, McDonalds, Lebanese, Persian, Indian, Chinese), hairdressers (rather than taking off suburb bar change negotiation) and cafes. At the end of the main street (5 minute walk) buses via Oxford Circus to the city. But you can also easily Hyde Park Kensington / e-mail within walking distance or explore Notting Hill and Portobello Road.

In Bayswater there are a lot of 3 star hotels. While we had rather bad last year we were convinced us. The hotel was renovated in 2008, the construction during our presence (New Year's Eve 2008) be completed. During the day for vacationers, who won't be in the hotel are the hotel is absolutely recommendable. The location is really great. The district is supermarkets, a shopping center, different types of restaurants and boring sameness (Burger King, Pizza Hut, McDonalds etc. ) and more souvenir stores and the world needs. The connection is superb, 2 important underground lines (Circle+Central) can be ... reached within a few minutes. The Hyde Park is 5 minutes away. The staff is nice and helpful, only the cleaning lady their mission previously. For breakfast, there were toast, croissants, different jams, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals and a variety of cereal. The quality was absolutely all right. In all, it was a good here the price-performance was and the location makes up for the small advised not mind going back. read more

London House Hotel is in a great location. The area is very nice and direct connections to the subway lines Bayswater and Queensway. Good shopping and locations possibilities are not even 5 minutes from the hotel. It is located in a very quiet, nice location. Large drawback was however our room. It was on the ground floor. All furniture is damaged. The noise of the Frühstücksaals wakes you around 7 -8am on and also the in and out the cleaning ladies in next to room wasnt grade creek. If you looked out the window showed quite only trash. The bathroom ... was also super narrow! read more

I deducted 1 sun for a bit claustrophobic room we've got. Cleanliness - perfect, when comared to average British stabdard ;) Some noises in the evening from the neighbouring mall parking, but survivable. Just ask for the room from the other side.

Very friendly and helpful. Considering the number of French tourists in the hotel, they probably speak foreign languages (cause I do not know any French tourist who speaks foreign language;) ).

Perfect !!! Compared to price you pay for the accomodation. Neighbouring Queensway recomendable for lunch or dinner purposes.
