For one night the hotel was ok. We ate not in the hotel, only still a drink. The garage with 12 Euro to book beaten and a water in the room with 4,90 Euro. Which did not please me, there were two black long hairs in the bath, next to towel and in the shower. Besides that the room was clean and friendly. read more

For a short stopover not a problem, for longer stays there are certainly better hotels. Price-performance ratio was reasonable. read more

The Novotel has everything, what a good hotel need. However it is a bit in need of renovation.
The breakfast we found very versatile and sunday also until 13 o'clock offered.
If the way is, one is with the lift quick in the town for strolling and shopping. read more

Overbooking the room categories at Novotel Mainz

The hotel we have already three months booked in advance and paid for in full. On the day of arrival we had call again our executive room and a late arrival announced. The front desk confirmed our room with the words' everything ok, you have already paid in advance '. Of al we then after 6-hour prior in the hotel arrived then the letdown. There is no room more in our booked room type. Also the free breakfast and the payment the difference could our trouble not to diminish. The free breakfast the next morning but it was the crowning. ... Unfriendly service staff, behind the back of the guests grimaces pulled and which does not even the tables for the neueindeckung cleaned. That's how I imagine the quality of a novotel before. The overbooking the categories and the fob of the guests seems to me to be a method. read more

The hotel is only is a few minutes walk away! From the main station it was about 10 minutes could be simply to the right because small hill hinaugehen where Kupfergold is!
Staff very friendly and helpful! Only the cleanliness in room leaves something to be desired! Everything was only cleaned very superficially! For a four-star hotel not okay and not at all in Europa!
I can recommend it only matters with the staff if something is wrong! read more

Centrally located hotel and bus train and car to meet is. Parking hotel garage (public) 12 euros maximum 24 hours the best a quiet room to the inner courtyard book. The rooms are functional and quiet. Best early as for example city break, not transferable but inclusive breakfast which adequate and diverse. Is available a spa centre including small swimming pool. The hotel bar is recommendable the prices for a hotel quite cheap. read more

This is a hotel, in the historic element of the city Mainz incorporated and thus a very nice atmosphere, especially in the spa area was obtained. Also the furnishings of the hotel is very nice.
Highly recommendable the sauna area, the really for relaxing invites and generously designed.
The only thing shortcoming the matter-of-factness of the staff, just at reception! read more

We stayed at the Sunday and on Monday before Shrove Tuesday ( carnival) in the hotel. The hotel was in any case reasonable, I also have a total price inclusive breakfast booked, the price perhaps not so on. Desk, pull out couch, LCD TV with the usual programs were in the room. As we have stayed in very lots of hotels this category were, many other hotels saw we were very satisfied. The breakfast buffet was more than enough and was also constantly refilled.
I would certainly stay at a Mainz stay this hotel book! read more

In general, the hotel made a good impression. It is not located directly in the city center but on a hill. It takes about ten to 15 minutes city center. The room cleaning was not so great. When we arrived a few long black hairs in the bathroom behind the door and an old moldy Grape under the desk. The size of the room and bathroom was okay although we had booked a superior room which was a 'larger' should be. Minibar and bathrobes was included. Hair dryer and tv. The wellness area with sauna is spacious (the pool rather ... small) and has enough free space for more beach chairs. That is why it is all the more surprised us, that only nine are there. Much too few for all the guests. When it was called that no longer are there! And the hotel was very well visited on new year's Eve! The parking garage to the hotel is a public. Cost per day 12,00 euros. Internet fees per day 9,00 euros! For me also exaggerated. We would stay there again but would probably. The check-in and check-out was okay and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was also wide and we had booked. 18 costs otherwise,00 euros. read more

Four star seemed slightly overvalued. The whole hotel has no charm and works as a Etap Hotel the same trademark, in the bath was moldy it somewhat at the edge of the bathtub, the duvets are a bit small. However good price and very nearby at of the center, with a bit of luck great view on Mainz, as situated on the hillside. Limited recommendable, for longer business probably not really suitable. read more

We travel every year for the wine feast to Mainz and rise in the past few years in Novotel Mainz. The hotel is not in the city center, but on a hill (formerly Fort Mainz-Augustustraße six). Via some stairs and you were in 15 minutes to the city center. The hotel has an underground parking, a good breakfast and rooms of various sizes. A small wellness area and a pool (very small) is located in the former kasematten fortress below the hotel. Unfortunately no safe in the room. read more

Were on the move in the hotel's immediate vicinity. What I have never experienced anything like that was, that the name must, at the price for one night to ask.
The parking in the public car park with the hotel entrance we were not advised. The young man at the front desk was probably new.
The breakfast cost 18 €in such hotels normal, but it is too expensive. read more

The hotel was generally very good. To get to city center of Mainz there are only about ten minutes.
The condition of the hotel and the cleanliness were very good. The room size is large enough. The pool looked very nice, we had only unfortunately no time for swimming.
The breakfast was with 18 €totally overpriced, so we didn't use. There are several cafes in Mainz (for example, Café special or Lomo) the 'all you can eat' breakfast for 6.90 €offer.
The parking garage is 12 €per day in the normal range for a public parking garage, but unfortunately ... we had to pay about 4 €extra, since we arrived after a few hours from the garage went out. That is, in our view, not in order on the hotel's website is, that the parking garage 12 €per day. We didn't realize that it means that we no longer leave garage.
All in all we can highly recommend this hotel in any case, since it was very nice, clean and close to the center is. read more
