The value for money has convinced us... A really good hotel, with better access to Manhattan. What the double in the town are charged, if you also here 'everything' has ☺ Fully recommendable - we are very much looking forward to go back! - wlan was sometimes a bit overloaded - mainly american and european guests (many germans) read more

The breakfast was for american standards really good. Bagels, muffins, donuts, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, o + apple juice etc. - the breakfast room is quite busy and noisy - however therefor one least breakfast (in ny not self-evident)

The staff is friendly and unobtrusive, stands at any time for questions and so on available, gladly helped and gave good tips! - daily room cleaning was in the morning quickly and properly

Admittedly... The hotel is located not in the best area ny, a bit run down - Queens stop! But: only 2-3 minutes on foot from the subway station '21. street queensboro' away. One drives relaxed around 5 to 15 minutes (depending on where you in Manhattan want to go ) into town. Next to the hotel, there is a howard johnson hotel, otherwise? Nothing except buildings, 2 deli's, 1 subway, 1 kiosk... - 45 minutes away from the airport (taxi and subway) - one is really great fast access to the Central Park, Rockefeller Center, 34. Harald square, the subway line 'f' runs very many attractions

The hotel was a few years ago by Best Western and then probably completely renovated. Meanwhile it time for light repairs for appearances. Altogether is everything but in good condition and above all clean. Most set' New York'with' Manhattan' right. The hotel lies however in Queens! Just a few strides there is a underground station, from there there is only two stations to Manhattan. In comparison to a lot of american hotels even breakfast offered. However the breakfast area is often crowded and the tables dirty, the bin streams quickly before louder paper plates, plastic dishes, platikschüsseln and paper cups. ... It will be toast, cereal, pastry ( donuts and other calorie bombs) filter coffee and yoghurt enough. If you look at the general very high hotel prices in New York the hotel offers altogether great value for money. read more

We were as a family for 5 days in new York. Unfortunately is hurricane sandy in between come. As hotel for a city trip it is can only be recommended, since you're the whole day on the way is. Breakfast is however not very varied but adequate for the day to start. We have all from the staff as very friendly met. Our only problem was, that 2 nights In the next room young people were, the night to the day, and we noise have suffered, because the staff and the parents of the children, not quite got a handle ... on. Apart from that it was very nice, apart from we through the jahrhundertsturm 'sandy' limited were. ( no subway, museums and shops closed, central park was locked, buses only conditionally dangers. ) But we will still another once again! read more

Good alternative to the Manhattan

The hotel prices in Manhattan are in my opinion rude. Either it is ancient- hotels, partly with bathroom in the hallway or shared bathroom with the neighboring room, or in high standards is very expensive. I therefore have some time after queens, specifically longs island city, from. The best Western Plaza in the 21. Street had been renovated a few years ago and offers a good best Western standard. The rooms are clean, for new York proportions big and if you are lucky, you even had a view of Manhattan. Private bathroom, safe, Wi-Fi and telephone are available. A small ... conference room and a small Fintnesscenter there is. Not too much expect you from the breakfast (at least- in comparison to many other American hotels -which offered). The small breakfast room quickly over-crowded, the few tables quickly dirty and filter coffee, cereal and donuts on paper plates and plastic cups. In the neighborhood, which for many is rather deterring is, does not exist lots to see. But it was just a few meters to the subway. The F-train stops then only at the Roosevelt Island and one is already in Manhattan (first station is Lexington avenue, not far from the fifth). A tip: at the Roosevelt Island off with the aerial ropeway to Manhattan. JFK is with one switchover also very easy to reach. read more

Hotel located in long island city about 5 minutes footpath to the next Subway, line F (orange). Small Pharmacy around the corner. Various drinks and food are available. Smaller to-go restaurants for example Indian, Italian, Mexican and Chinese in the same street respectively around the corner. In about 10 to 20 minutes you are in Manhattan. Neighborhood is not appealing, but one gets accustomed to the sight.

We have very long sought and considered, which hotel we for 4 nights in New York should select. Directly in Manhattan is a hotel in reasonable quality almost priceless. This hotel was a real gem. The rooms are in magnificent condition and not too small. Wi-Fi and breakfast are free of charge. The breakfast room is way too small and constantly overcrowded. But the donuts and bagels tasted decent. The area around the hotel is dreary and not very inviting. We had however at any time the feeling on the way from the about 150 meters away underground station to ... the hotel entrance in danger of being. After just two stops away is you in Manhattan. In short: reasonable hotel with good rooms fair prices and good subway access. We would stay here again. read more

the room was sufficient large, in particular the bathroom. King bed as a couple comfortable, there are also rooms with 2 Queen beds. Large flat screen on the wall. Facilities are good, but the cleanliness is something to desire. The curtains were totally dusty and were probably already for years not cleaned. As well as the window (Screens, it is a gap open. in the bath stands coffee machine, hair dryer and air conditioning available ). Empty fridge and desk available. Free Drahtlosinternet worked well, but sometimes access is blocked.

The hotel looks in reason a clean and tidy. Here and there a few small flaws but this is absolutely bearable especially in this price. From the rooms here there are different variations. From normal suites to suites with jacuzzi is everything. The rooms are cleaned daily and this is also mostly very well done( tip not forget). Breakfast it would be is however not so especially. The room is in terms of size actually okay. Not pure luxury but also no sleazy hotel. After you in new York anyway whole day on the way is and one the room actually only for sleeping and showers need it is absolutely sufficient. Wi-Fi is free for everyone and the TV plays everything you need. In the room there are also an airco but we did not use them because it in October not more definitely so hot. October is however a perfect travel time for city breaks. Climate very pleasant. Coffee machine is also situated on the rooms have we but also not used because we both not coffee drink. Mini bar is available but must even be filled. Telephone are even 2 on rooms with all possible Kurzwahlen for the various concerns and also a Telefonmappe with pizzerias and several other Stuff is there. Condition in general very well.!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. For us, the room safe not more to close have been the I at the front desk reported and the whole was within 30 minutes done quickly and worked perfectly. Wi-Fi in the hotel is free available and works quite well. Only in the early the Wi-Fi mostly not because apparently only a certain number of users simultaneously logged on and that is in the early mostly a bit difficult. The cleaning of the rooms is very good as described above but with 1 dollar/ person/day to compensate apart from that it can happen that it was not quite as clean as usual ☺ with German however not any opportunity. It is absolutely only English spoken.

In the hotel there is a fitness room which we didn't make use of but I have looked at and must say had actually very well maintained looked and the devices were in my opinion relatively new. Water is like most holiday countries not out of the faucet to enjoy in the hotel there are 2 automats where it water in small bottles and apart from that there are enough shops in Manhattan where you water in one and a half liter of bottles for sale. Recommendation: Jacks 99 cents Store at herald square. There are actually so quite everything which one A little need and the at reasonable prices.

So the location of the hotel is purely from the access to Manhattan was a dream. To next subway stations are two hundred meters and from there again 3 minutes and you are right inside. On the way to the metro is a residential complex where the socially a little weaker, however we were in night as well sometimes on foot on the way and we had however never fear that there some Conflicts might be. Taxi from the airport (JFK) costs about 45 dollars comes however it depended whether during the day or at night. Taxi to Manhattan is not recommendable since there because of congestion anyway some costs and metrokarte with 27 dollars (Weekly ticket) insane book is.

It was my third visit to NYC, for the first time but not a place to stay in Manhattan. I had reservations, but they were unjustified. We had a king bed room with a view of the skyline of Manhattan in the ninth floor. The view (open view of the Empire and the Queensbrough bridge) was really great and for the few euros extra charge definitely worth it. The room and the adjoining bathroom was for new York standards very large, modern equipped (flat-screen) and always clean. The bed was very comfortable and with sufficient pillows. A very good small ... fridge as a laptop safe were also available. It was missing to us in the room really nothing. Very good three star! Included in the price was also the breakfast. Whoever complained here, it was not yet in many American -2three star hotels. There was a 24 hour coffee machine usable (really delicious coffee and no process from a can, like one it otherwise knows), bagels and donuts in different sorts, toast, of course, butter, jam, cream cheese, milk, cereal, with a refrigerator, toaster and microwave 24 hour usable. Room was not always available. We have chosen however Anyway every morning, the plate full and back to our room. Because comfortable with such a breakfast room never on. Fine for us and there was no reason, to distribute minus. If a waiter and cloth napkins find would, probably at least one star and the breakfast pay must. On the Situation. Of course it is not Manhattan and you should expect no beautiful area. It is mostly characterized by industry. However, directly in front of the hotel several small delis, the purchase or snack in between sufficient. Fear you did not really need. The roads are very busy and midnight, even small children are still to be seen. Just because most of them to the people of European descent are, it is not automatically dangerously there. We felt in any case not unsafe. I am definitely not uncertain than at my other two stays felt right in Manhattan. We moved only with the metro. At any time of the day. 'F' to stop is literally only about 2 to 3 minutes. From there one drove only ten minutes walk to Times square. I have already Manhattan hotels (upper West and East side) inhabited and I have to admit, that I to metro longer walk and with it went to Times square. If you don't have to stay in Manhattan, but a low price for a modern, clean room and want to pay, we still shortly to the center arrives, this is the place to be. For comparison: in the September (admittedly a very expensive time) we could have stayed for a three star hotel in Manhattan, which by the standards would be former vegleichbar, more than twice the price paid. Absolute recommendation from me, if you ignored the constraint of the location. Some important it was right in the middle of Times square to stay. It is this hotel nothing. It is always a question of the price. read more

The hotel is suitable for a city trip to the big apple wonderful. In Queens/long island city, and therefore a bit outside of Manhattan (about 150 meters away from the Queens bridge). The easy access to Manhattan is very fast and reliably via subway (station about 100 meters away from the hotel, Central park South East corner in 3-4 minutes). The hotel is relatively new, clean and functional. It has no excessive charm, but clean and brightly decorated. The rooms are large and equipped with all necessary. Here, too, wonderfully clean and the cleaning functioned perfectly. The staff is friendly ... and helpful, sometimes a bit overexcited. English or Spanish is a must, further languages are spoken. The only complaint I have is the breakfast. The buffet was tiny, as well as the breakfast room. It is a typical American breakfast with toast, cereal, butter, jam, and milk, orange juice; and it was almost ☺ It is however, the buffet not leave hungry. read more

The hotel is fairly new. The hotel has 10 floors, on the about 8-10 rooms were. We had booked bed and breakfast. A big minus is the breakfast. More under the gastronomy. read more

The rooms were large enough and with modern amenities and then some (flat screen TV, Kühklschrank, hair dryers, complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the hotel and don't forget the air conditioning; gaaaaaaaaanz typical of the United States, also in the halls and anywhere in the hotel).

The fat minuspoint because there is clearly the breakfast buffet. This continued day for day of bagels, toast, cream cheese, jelly (Gellee), butter, cereal and coffee. The whole you could enjoy with plastic plates. Breakfast was from 6:30 to 9:30 but if you go down around 9:00 to the "buffet" if you were lucky there were 3 slices and a few bagels as - and it was not refilled!!!! Further criticism small breakfast area; guests often found no space. The tables were regularly never wiped.

The staff was friendly and English are required. We never had problems with the room cleaning. It was always cleaned without us even having the sign "housekeeping please" had to hang.

Great is its location in proximity of the Metro (underground), about 2 minutes walking distance. With the F line is 3 stops to Central Park. If you want to quite reasonable as well from the airport to the hotel, is the Air Train and subway together 7.25 dollar per person. With the taxi it was about 40 dollars. To mention it's a little Impoverished district where the hotel is located. It makes you feel like you are a bit oppressive at walking distance to the subway. Around the corner from the Delil shop you could go and buy drinks and snacks, the vendor was always very nice!!!!

The hotel has 9 floors and the building looks fairly new. The sanitäten grounds are about 5 years old. Unless the Notausgangstreppe uses, the hotel is very clean. We had breakfast with us. Guests were international and altermäßig everything was represented. read more

Room was nice size for one person. Bed very comfortable, better than mine at home. Flatscreen very nice. Air-conditioning could be turned to "auto" or "off" so that you don't the whole time runs. The bathroom was equipped with hair dryer and coffee maker with coffee / cups to find. A small fridge in room. There is a small safe in each room with permutuation lock, you can choose. For me the safe door course be improved on the floor. The window faces the backyard, - you will find a lighted parking and a larger Lüfungsanlage, the day and night and was quite noisy. My room was on the third floor, so I could hear much (sounds like a helicopter ride around a soar constantly). If I go back to this hotel again, I would insist on a room high up.

Breakfast: Oh well. If you like I didn't like the sweet stuff-bagels, the selection really very poor. The same stuff every day. After the first day I am always fschon rüher went to breakfast, around 8 hours, as you can go to sit. In between the tables not being cleaned, a reason to arrive early.

Great was the / the concierge - sat down next to the front desk and was some kind travel agent. We all our tourism questions answered. The staff at the front desk were always very friendly and helpful. Foreign languages: I think only English. The cleaning staff only rudimentary sense English. If the room is to be cleaned the sign "housekeeping please" ANNEXS outside. If nothing dranhängt they do not cleaned. Room cleaning itself was ok. There are 3 internet places where you can surf. Rarely had to wait.

The short distance from Manhattan is really convenient. The subway station of line F (21 Street) has a desk ("booth"), which was always occupied was when I passed by. That was good, because in the surroundings of the subway station and in the station itself a few odd people hanging around. The area around the hotel is characterized by trashed streets, social housing and the discontinued industrial buildings. look at the "halal food" store right next to the hotel you could get depression and the grocery store next door. But you need not to use both.

We booked this hotel from home north-east first stop on our trip. As we arrived with a rental car we were able to stay any affordable price in Manhattan. This Best Western is suitable for this situation very well. The underground station is two blocks away and you just need to drive to a station to NYC on land. It was a good breakfast in the price of $108 per night which included for New York is not that bad. There was also a fitness room. The only two negative points the complaint I have is that the cleaning lady ... did not seem very motivated was as a small accident in the evening, the next day still chips on the ground. And the lift is a bit slow, but that could be avoided. Conclusion: worth recommending read more
