The value for money has convinced us...
A really good hotel, with better access to Manhattan. What the double in the town are charged, if you also here 'everything' has ☺
Fully recommendable - we are very much looking forward to go back!

The hotel was a few years ago by Best Western and then probably completely renovated. Meanwhile it time for light repairs for appearances. Altogether is everything but in good condition and above all clean.
Most set' New York'with' Manhattan' right. The hotel lies however in Queens! Just a few strides there is a underground station, from there there is only two stations to Manhattan.
In comparison to a lot of american hotels even breakfast offered. However the breakfast area is often crowded and the tables dirty, the bin streams quickly before louder paper plates, plastic dishes, platikschüsseln and paper cups. ... It will be toast, cereal, pastry ( donuts and other calorie bombs) filter coffee and yoghurt enough.
If you look at the general very high hotel prices in New York the hotel offers altogether great value for money. read more

We were as a family for 5 days in new York. Unfortunately is hurricane sandy in between come.
As hotel for a city trip it is can only be recommended, since you're the whole day on the way is.
Breakfast is however not very varied but adequate for the day to start.
We have all from the staff as very friendly met. Our only problem was, that 2 nights
In the next room young people were, the night to the day, and we noise have suffered, because the staff and the parents of the children, not quite got a handle ... on.
Apart from that it was very nice, apart from we through the jahrhundertsturm 'sandy' limited were. ( no subway, museums and shops closed, central park was locked, buses only conditionally dangers. )
But we will still another once again! read more

For a short break already reasonable. With the subway to Times Square about 15 minutes. A small supermarket is around the corner, as you get everything, even hot food. Subway approximately 3 minutes out. Entertainment possibilities there is no in the immediate area, one would have to Manhattan mainland. read more

The hotel prices in Manhattan are in my opinion rude. Either it is ancient- hotels, partly with bathroom in the hallway or shared bathroom with the neighboring room, or in high standards is very expensive.
I therefore have some time after queens, specifically longs island city, from. The best Western Plaza in the 21. Street had been renovated a few years ago and offers a good best Western standard.
The rooms are clean, for new York proportions big and if you are lucky, you even had a view of Manhattan. Private bathroom, safe, Wi-Fi and telephone are available.
A small ... conference room and a small Fintnesscenter there is.
Not too much expect you from the breakfast (at least- in comparison to many other American hotels -which offered). The small breakfast room quickly over-crowded, the few tables quickly dirty and filter coffee, cereal and donuts on paper plates and plastic cups.
In the neighborhood, which for many is rather deterring is, does not exist lots to see. But it was just a few meters to the subway. The F-train stops then only at the Roosevelt Island and one is already in Manhattan (first station is Lexington avenue, not far from the fifth). A tip: at the Roosevelt Island off with the aerial ropeway to Manhattan.
JFK is with one switchover also very easy to reach. read more

We have very long sought and considered, which hotel we for 4 nights in New York should select. Directly in Manhattan is a hotel in reasonable quality almost priceless. This hotel was a real gem. The rooms are in magnificent condition and not too small. Wi-Fi and breakfast are free of charge. The breakfast room is way too small and constantly overcrowded. But the donuts and bagels tasted decent. The area around the hotel is dreary and not very inviting. We had however at any time the feeling on the way from the about 150 meters away underground station to ... the hotel entrance in danger of being. After just two stops away is you in Manhattan. In short: reasonable hotel with good rooms fair prices and good subway access. We would stay here again. read more

The BW Plaza was after a long search by far the best hotel, in Manhattan and the surrounding area had found. There are 10% AA discount when reservation over the BW website. In about 15 minutes you are at the central park and Rockefeller center, after Südmanhattan took it longer and you have to change. The building is only a few years old and makes a good impression. read more

The hotel looks in reason a clean and tidy. Here and there a few small flaws but this is absolutely bearable especially in this price. From the rooms here there are different variations. From normal suites to suites with jacuzzi is everything. The rooms are cleaned daily and this is also mostly very well done( tip not forget). Breakfast it would be is however not so especially. Food on Papteller and nothing special rich. From the guests ago the hotel is similar to the whole town new York-a mix of cultures. All together a very good Compromise if you are ... a good night to but also not too much want to pay. read more

It was my third visit to NYC, for the first time but not a place to stay in Manhattan. I had reservations, but they were unjustified. We had a king bed room with a view of the skyline of Manhattan in the ninth floor. The view (open view of the Empire and the Queensbrough bridge) was really great and for the few euros extra charge definitely worth it. The room and the adjoining bathroom was for new York standards very large, modern equipped (flat-screen) and always clean. The bed was very comfortable and with sufficient pillows. A very good small ... fridge as a laptop safe were also available. It was missing to us in the room really nothing. Very good three star! Included in the price was also the breakfast. Whoever complained here, it was not yet in many American -2three star hotels. There was a 24 hour coffee machine usable (really delicious coffee and no process from a can, like one it otherwise knows), bagels and donuts in different sorts, toast, of course, butter, jam, cream cheese, milk, cereal, with a refrigerator, toaster and microwave 24 hour usable. Room was not always available. We have chosen however Anyway every morning, the plate full and back to our room. Because comfortable with such a breakfast room never on. Fine for us and there was no reason, to distribute minus. If a waiter and cloth napkins find would, probably at least one star and the breakfast pay must. On the Situation. Of course it is not Manhattan and you should expect no beautiful area. It is mostly characterized by industry. However, directly in front of the hotel several small delis, the purchase or snack in between sufficient. Fear you did not really need. The roads are very busy and midnight, even small children are still to be seen. Just because most of them to the people of European descent are, it is not automatically dangerously there. We felt in any case not unsafe. I am definitely not uncertain than at my other two stays felt right in Manhattan. We moved only with the metro. At any time of the day. 'F' to stop is literally only about 2 to 3 minutes. From there one drove only ten minutes walk to Times square. I have already Manhattan hotels (upper West and East side) inhabited and I have to admit, that I to metro longer walk and with it went to Times square. If you don't have to stay in Manhattan, but a low price for a modern, clean room and want to pay, we still shortly to the center arrives, this is the place to be. For comparison: in the September (admittedly a very expensive time) we could have stayed for a three star hotel in Manhattan, which by the standards would be former vegleichbar, more than twice the price paid. Absolute recommendation from me, if you ignored the constraint of the location. Some important it was right in the middle of Times square to stay. It is this hotel nothing. It is always a question of the price. read more

The hotel is suitable for a city trip to the big apple wonderful. In Queens/long island city, and therefore a bit outside of Manhattan (about 150 meters away from the Queens bridge). The easy access to Manhattan is very fast and reliably via subway (station about 100 meters away from the hotel, Central park South East corner in 3-4 minutes). The hotel is relatively new, clean and functional. It has no excessive charm, but clean and brightly decorated. The rooms are large and equipped with all necessary. Here, too, wonderfully clean and the cleaning functioned perfectly. The staff is friendly ... and helpful, sometimes a bit overexcited. English or Spanish is a must, further languages are spoken. The only complaint I have is the breakfast. The buffet was tiny, as well as the breakfast room. It is a typical American breakfast with toast, cereal, butter, jam, and milk, orange juice; and it was almost ☺ It is however, the buffet not leave hungry. read more

We booked this hotel from home north-east first stop on our trip. As we arrived with a rental car we were able to stay any affordable price in Manhattan. This Best Western is suitable for this situation very well. The underground station is two blocks away and you just need to drive to a station to NYC on land. It was a good breakfast in the price of $108 per night which included for New York is not that bad. There was also a fitness room. The only two negative points the complaint I have is that the cleaning lady ... did not seem very motivated was as a small accident in the evening, the next day still chips on the ground. And the lift is a bit slow, but that could be avoided. Conclusion: worth recommending read more
