A little out of the way; no underground station, but bus stop nearby; to the peak times problems with the lifts; breakfast and dinner ( buffet) well - plenty of choice; no German speaking tv-channels read more

We spent the Beginning November 2011 in this hotel to the second time a 2-day stay. The hotel lies not really ideal connected with- no choice Metro station nearby,- but only city buses (a bit longer waiting time evenings and at the weekend). We decided to go again for this hotel, as we had the first stay in good memory. We stayed in the cheapest room category in the second floor- the room was comfortable, quiet and pleasant size. The hotel has a very spacious lobby with works of art and in the evening often live music. We were ... very happy here again and felt by the competent staff nice welcome. A downside in our opinion it should be noted: the breakfast buffet-huge selection and good, although not exquisite quality, the first day was a huge rush/ rush/ noise groups of no choice successful experience. The second morning was much more successful and quiet, to begin the day relaxed here. read more

The HF Ipanema Park is quite large (280 rooms). The building dates back to the nineties and is very well-kept. The lobby with bar and restaurant is spacious and luxurious. The hotel has several meeting rooms, which is why it is visited by many business travelers. In the lobby is wireless LAN for free. Altogether, a really beautiful, pleasant hotel. read more

Very clean hotel with 281 rooms, a bar, a restaurant, a rooftop pool with views over Porto and the Douro river. We had booked bed and breakfast! Guest structure was, in my opinion, more made up of business travellers? read more

The hotel makes a good impression at first sight: spacious entrance in a chic style, spacious lobby with a piano and a spacious bar. Unfortunately, there are not enough lifts for the many floors, which causes some problems during peak hours. The view from the rooms is rather moderate. read more

Very nice hotel at a reasonable price archived

For a southern country the 5-star standard price is absolutely reasonable. Good location, the taxi from the airport costs only 18 €. Spacious lobby with reception and bar. We were warmly greeted. It was a pity that our room had not yet been ready, even though we told them that we would arrive early. We had a very nice large room with a very large bathroom. Unfortunately, the view is not that beautiful, which you don't necessarily expect from a city hotel anyway. The bar by the rooftop pool offers a gigantic view over the city. The breakfast buffet had ... a huge selection with everything the heart desires, from waffles to different rolls and jams, to all varieties of hot foods. There even was a separate table with "light" products. One evening at the restaurant we chose the half-board meal, which was very good and with € 17.00 for 2 courses including a bottle of water also appropriately priced.Staff were friendly and attentive, only once were we "overlooked" at the bar. English only helps a little bit in Portugal, French is easier. All in all, I can recommend the hotel in good conscience. We will also stay at the hotel again and will stay for longer next time. read more

The reason for our 6 day trip to Porto, was a cheap flight there. We reserved the hotel because of the family room offer, its "beach location," the 16 floors with great views and the great roof terrace.Services - bed and breakfast, half board was unfortunately not possible to reserve. We would not describe the hotel as a 5 star hotel, we did not necessarily know the Portuguese standards, but it was our first and certainly not-) the last trip to that country.During the week the hotel was mostly used by businessmen, (we had mostly an ... exotic status with our child ) on weekends for "city-trip tourists" with all languages. read more

Very poor 5 star hotel. Location poor with no restaurants in the local area. Taxis available to take you into town but very difficult to find a taxis to return to hotel. You had to pay to use the pool and ladies had to wear a swiming cap. Roof top pool was just that, it was on the roof and vey small. Carpet in room very stained and funishings very old and dated with holes in the curtains the whole hotel smelled of smoke and the bedrooms were very noisey. you could hear the conversations from next door and the ... TV's along with dogs barking outside (on 7th floor) read more
