Hotel Maritim Santa Susanna^{(4 stars)}

Already described above. Very roomy, cleanly and beautifully. We had a family room, this contained: 5 beds, 2 large, 2 small and a providing bed. We had a giant balcony with table and chairs. View on the sea, very beautifully. It was very calm. The windows were very close. It could be very well darkened with specially curtains. There was a television, as German program gave it only to RTL however better than nothing. One can acquire a remote maintenance at the info. against 10 euro bail, we simply a Universalfernbedinung from at home carried forward functioned the perfectly. There was a refrigerator with 3 subjects and into the Türe likewise still another subject. A desk with chair and a very roomy cabinet however without drawers. There was a bar and a restaurant. The meal which we knew was well to very well. There was daily a large salad bar and standard of courts such as fries, pizza and pasta. Additionally daily different meat places and fish. There was in addition, much which we could not do and therefore did not also try. The desserts were our taste however feel very sweetly and not like that completely everyone differently. The atmosphere was familiar and also the other guests was friendly and one came into the discussion if one wanted. Breakfast of 8-10.15 o'clock noon starting from 13Uhr as for a long time white I, did not have half-board of evening of 19-21.15 o'clock

Friendliness: Very very friendly foreign languages: Nearly everything can do German, English can probably everything, Spanish anyway and most also Netherlands. Room cleaning: Daily and very very cleanly we did not have to weight a reason us.

It is large and warm. We did not use the sauna.

Wine was more expensively however that drinks we anyway not. Were predominantly dutchmen in the hotel all this very friendly were. Spaniard however very few. A few German one could hear also now and then. The animations coworkers were dutchmen and Spaniards. They could do all very well English and 3 could also German. In the morning of 10-13 o'clock and in the afternoon of 15-17Uhr gave it to kindergarten with many offers, tinkers, dart plays, to T-shirts paints, Karaoke, etc. gave in the afternoon it to (no meaning) at the pool. In the evening at 21 o'clock kids disco unfortunately each evening with the same music after one a few days on the cookie went however to the children has it pleases our son also. The beverages in the bar and at the pool were favorable. Coffee many more favorably than with us. There were 4 PCs at which one in Internet could. 2 euro for 20 minutes. There were a table tennis plate and Billardtische. There is an indoor swimming pool however costs it per person to 5 euro and one can it only 3 hours use. But it participates also sauna. The water in the pool had 28 degrees which I found very pleasant. There is enough lying and we had always 2 all the same when we came. The coworkers were very very friendly all. It prevails a family atmosphere and nearly all coworkers could German. At the nettesten was Linda at the reception. It can German, Dutch, Spanish, English. All coworkers are very endeavored which one feel well. That negatives is only that it only 2 elevators gives for 6 floors. That was called often eternal waiting and annoying stopping in each stick. In addition, that was only that negatives. We go next year again into the hotel.

The beach is 5-10 minutes far away from the hotel. There one must run by a dirty underpass then is one. It is not a fine sand beach separates a rough gravel beach. He pain-did us at the feet. Tuesday is direct before the hotel a large market over the whole main street. It is developed the whole morning. One is from the hotel in 10 minutes to foot with Lidl or Carrefour. MC Donald were we is however more expensive also than with us. Since we were not with child on the way can we anything about taverns and Disco to say, in the hotel was each evening program that has us been enough. One can plan trips with the coworkers, her helps gladly.

I had to live owing to a mistake the possibilities in both price categories. Price category “lux”: The room is large and one has even the possibilities a second small balcony table in the room to place. The beds are very comfortably and relatively large. Price category “normal”: The room is CLEAR smaller. One has to go straight once place and from the bed to the balcony or exit. All room classes have a balcony. Unfortunately is the building so built that balcony with rains approach. And this “4*” - hotel can do itself straight times an employee (!!! ) carry out this problem eliminated - there I saw already better service in 3*-Hotels! Erbärmlich! Each room had TVS which however only a German transmitter (RTL) receives. This is 99% of the hotel guests from the Netherlands comes also understandably there. One must acquire the remote maintenance against 10€-Pfand at the reception. In the price category “normal” was broken my bed. It has two meets to this repair service the way to me found lasted.

The kitchen is average - adheres however because of the high number of Netherlands guests to its kitchen. The breakfast is rich however many dry courts is served. At the breakfast there are no sauces - also on demand I received only a cool “No.” - unfortunate! At the breakfast there are free beverages. There is sufficiently places for all guests present. ATTENTION for the quark foods - these were VERY VERY more inedible. No notion from which to be made anyhow not from quark! Dinner: During dinner one must buy at the reception for 1,70€ beverage chip. For this beverage chip one can order a beverage with the waiter. The dinner was partly not very more delicious partly very well. Which particularly annoyed me was that one is enough for pants during dinner as a man to carry and the shoulders cover had. So I had to always go after a relaxed beach day specially on the room and move me only because of this doubtful rule - very annoying and in my opinion unnecessarily. Nevertheless is no 5*-Restaurant. Of Al special culinary highlight were the desserts - these are recommended much!

The staff speaks German tlws. Mixed with Netherlands. To understand altogether however well. The staff is very friendly. There is a luggage delivery area which is free and is locked (keys at the reception to inquire). Which did not fall me at the service is the repair service (more under “ROOMS”). Which particularly pleased me was that one could buy at the reception for 1,50€ 5l drinking water. One should avoid Spanish tap water.

For my taste this hotel offered too to little maintenance. There was at noon daily water gymnastic and evening a child discotheque with following parents program - otherwise simply only CD was put on and that was it. With a 4*-Hotel I expect more. Internet possibility available however costs each minute 10ct - therefore very very expensive! Billard and other one of such play possibilities against 2€/Spiel available. Pool: Also the pool leaves to desires. With 4* I am accustomed at more size! At noon this is overcrowded! It is considerable that ALWAYS at the pool range a lifeguard is. Thus the pool is particularly child friendly. A separate child basin is present, even if it has the size of about 3qm. There is sufficiently seats and also a lawn for sunbathing with sun screens is present. Unfortunately this is directly because of the promenade and misses your purpose perfectly as Enspannungsoase. Unschlau furnished!

I was accommodated in the summer 2010 in this “4*-Hotel”. Vorabinfo: In this hotel there are two room classes “Normal/Standart/Classic” (called each employee amusing-proves a different name to me to this price category) and “lux”. They must clarify WHICH kind of room you in the travel agency first to book. Because a room class “normal” corresponds to 3*, room class “lux” 4*. Thus many visitors - like I - at the nose are led around. More to it under ROOMS. Hotel is inhabited to 99% by Dutchmen. There are isolating Russian sprachige and only very few German-speaking families. The hotel has only 2 elevators - much too few! Partial waiting periods of up to 5 minutes (!! ). Stairway available. The hotel is suitable at the best one for families.

The place is well connected with the ÖPNV. 2x hourly drives a course direction Barcelona and toward Blanes (from there out far with the bus after Lloret de Mar or Girona air haven). Also a bus drives the same distance - however only few marks on the day. This is however more favorable than the course! Close one at the hotel gives it two beaches which in the quality around lengths differs. If you crossed the underpass arrive it at a river (- banks). Right of it is a very bad, dirty and stony beach. If you however to the left of river bank go coming you to a rock breaking into beach. Simply at the beach to the left and into 100 meters you continue to go to reach a VERY MUCH beautiful beach. (Beach is directly because of the camping plant). In the center of city Susanna gives it a discotheque. Otherwise I cannot further-recommend the place to young people, since one cannot much make party moderate here. Party-looking for should evade rather after Callela or Lloret de Mar.

Our room in the third stick was quite large, some meaningful implements would have been beautiful (shoe file, luggage file). Otherwise our room was very properly equipped. The bath is for southern conditions super, with bath tub/shower curtain, bidet, washstand. The air conditioning system functioned fast and reliably, on the balcony are one table and two chairs, give however no possibility to dry, wet things at fresh air. The flat picture television can be set only with a remote maintenance in enterprise, which one gets against bail at the reception. The program offer corresponds to the international public and is satisfied in such a way one either with a German transmitter (RTL) or remembers its Fremdsprachenkenntnisse.

There is a extensionable restaurant and a bar with pool bar in the hotel. At the very varied buffets there were Catalan from Vorsuppen over cold and warm courts both Spanish/as well as international meals. It, if one knew, would be beautiful eats which fish one, but there can one also a cook at the Coocking center ask. Who expects certainly German meal, is not here in the correct vacation. The refeeding offer is much enticing and just as varied. For the beverages in the restaurant Bons for 1,70€ must be bought, whereby a beer or a water costs a Bon, for wine then evenly more in the apron at the reception. This system functioned quite, was however new for us.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room service was hardly to be seen, however very thoroughly worked. At the reception on all questions and small problems a competent answer was given. Even water in 5-Liter cans was sold at the reception for only 1,50€ (as in the business), since the tap water should not be used for drinking. At the reception of some coworkers German was spoken, English could inform itself one however nearly everywhere quite well

There was not on the way were constant can we about the pool anything say, our impression was however that for all guests sufficient couches were present and that there was not also the leidige lying reservation problem. Each evening were in the bar meetings, which partly possessed a very good level. The young Animateurin gave itself very much trouble, however still is with their Fremdsprachenkenntnissen in the learning phase. In the hotel a small indoor swimming pool is available, where one can also bathe in bad weather, for correct swimming is rather too small it.

The hotel is only some years old, corresponds thus to modern requirements. All rooms are equipped with a relatively large balcony (MT, fields). It is cleaned daily very properly. Also all publicly accessible ranges. An extensive breakfast, Mittags-und Abendbüffet, is offered which one can book individually. With our stay some travel's groups and single traveler made of Germany were there, in addition, many dutchmen, Italian, Frenchman, Russian. Despite the internationality a relaxed relationship was to be recognized. To our vacation period the age cut lay at about 50 years, young guests was rather rare. That has however for older people quite also advantages…

To the beach it is to be run about 10 minutes, a road is to be underrun to over and the line. There are very beautiful bath possibilities by the kilometer-long fine-grained sand beach, which is not so ideal however for small children by the bottom of the sea dropping steeply after some meters. In October however no more traces are to be seen by rescue floats or water haven offers. To buy one can in a supermarket complex, which is about 10 minutes distant behind the hotel, from 10 to 20 o'clock opened. Market there are several other small beside the hotel. Disco, Bars, Restaurants etc. are on the way into the center. Station and bus stop are completely close with the hotel, so that one is fast in Barcelona or Girona (very low-priced).

The room was not very large as two bed rooms. We had one with a third bed were rather large it there. The safe had to be unfortunately rented against fee. Balcony was also large. Furniture was new, since the hotel is 5 years old also only about.

There was a restaurant in the breakfast and dinners was taken. The buffet was very well it was missing neither early nor in the evening at nothing! The quality and quantity of the meals were always in the best way.

The staff was friendly if one in German was understood. The room cleaning and the towels took place daily, bedlinen changes twice weekly.

Oh… The animators, was only toward your Netherlands compatriots directed it everything always first on Netherlands was announced and the attempt in Spanish or English possibly also times in German something to say was very incomprehensibly, also the program was same as always also the 70's ABBA music. The beach was very careless and direct beside the hotel Caprici the waste water in the sea calmly where one also during the day rats observe could, it smelled also very unpleasantly. The hotel is very much aligned to its numerous Netherlands guests. It is spoken apart from Spanish actually only Dutch. Cleanliness is good, the rooms smells very strongly after cleaning agents (Domestos).

The distance to the beach is actually rather close, if one did not have by this filthy underpass. There sufficient everything were purchase possibilities to reach comfortably to foot.

The rooms are rather small. There is no luggage file, the cabinet has no drawers. The television (remote maintenance against bail) stands on a small desk laterally, since before the bed no place is. The bath makes a new impression. In the bath there is a bath tub with shower curtain and beside the WC also a bidet. The water supply of the bath tub and shower is pleasant (no changes coldly warmly). Unfortunately the doors strike extremely loud. We had a family as neighbors, constantly the doors too struck. This was particularly in the evening disturbing. All balconies of the hotel have lateral sea view. The beds were again referred after 3 days, the towels were daily changed.

The hotel has a bar (to have we not used) and a restaurant, which can be expanded into the inner court of the hotel. For breakfast there was fried eggs, when desired omelet, fruits and everything which 4 stars a hotel corresponds. The sparkling wine for breakfast was missing on no day. Unfortunately the orange juice from the automat was more inedible. The coffee was well, unfortunately had each cup by the restaurant to be carried individually. A thermal can would be a desirable improvement. The dinner tasted us good. There were daily several fish and meat courts. At the cook bar fish and meat alternated daily. In the offer were a soup and various hors-d'oeuvres. The dessert was rather something modestly. Ice gave it only packaged, unfortunate. Habituation needy is also the account of the beverages. At the reception one must buy Getränkebons for € 1, 70, which are then redeemed with the waiter. 1 mineral water cost a Bon, wine accordingly several Bons.

The hotel makes a very much maintained and clean impression. The rooms were cleaned daily great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Questions were competently answered. German spoken, Dutch was pervasive rather rarely. This was however not unpleasant, we very friendly was treated. The tap at the wash basin supplied only a weak water jet. After our complaint someone took care of the thing, the water did not run however nevertheless not more strongly. So we had to get along with the weak rivlet.

The hotel is because of the main street of Santa Susana, the pool directly before the hotel. To the conditions one runs about 5 minutes. By the Eisenbahunterführung and between 2 camping sites one arrives at the sea with beautiful sand beach. The municipality strives to adorn by palm cultivations the picture. The small indoor swimming pool of the hotel was not inviting for us. In addition a use fee is required. In the bar there is an Internet terminal (against fee) as well as several play automats. Laterally in the bar the evening animation takes place.

Montemar maritime is a modern hotel and resembles outwardly a ship. By the building method narrowed upward the balconies are up free. On the south side of the hotel is a parking lot, so that to the next hotel a pleasant distance exists. On the other side the next hotel is obvious for seizing. The hotel is aligned to Dutch guests. During our stay only a German group from Rottweil was in the hotel. Also the TVS supply look accordingly. There are 3! Dutch however only 1 German television program, RTL. The parking lots between the hotel Montemar maritime and the neighbor hotel are sufficient and for hotel guests free. The hotel is because of the southern end of Santa Susana, lined up between different other hotels. To the sea the road must be crossed and the line to Barcelona be underrun. Between line and beach 2 camping sites lie. The maintenance and entertainment center of Santa Susana are reachable on foot comfortably attainable.
