We, a few from Wien (60 and 54), have been going for four years to the son baulo. The hotel is very beautiful in a perfect position right on the beach. The room was beautiful and clean and we had an excellent view of the see of our balcony from the beach is especially for small children suitable, because he was very gentle into the sea slope and only a few meters into the water walk, in the deep water swim. Disadvantage at the beach it is, the one for pay for the chairs must (2 beach chairs inclusive umbrella ... for 9 Euro per day). In the restaurant there is a wide choice of meals. For my taste sometimes a bit too british. The restaurant was always friendly. This hotel we could only all warmly recommend. If four years on the same place runs, you can't be wrong. We will come again and the wonderful island Mallorca further explore and in son baulo let yourself be pampered. read more

Middle class hotel in which one it is a week bear can. Even the English 90% were pleasantly bearable, probably good middle class from gigabyte. We can certainly recommend it. From the hotel are enough destinations easy to get to. Gastronomy in the place is small however therefor good. read more

Tidy run hotel with too many british guests, room to the street have french doors with wooden frame, the not so good, better superior -room to torrent or with a view of the sea book. read more

Tv-channels were not all German.
No safety deposit box, no mini bar, no goody on the bed.
Furnishings are very outdated.
- very noisy hotel. No sleep without ear plugs if snorer next door.
- Changing sheets at the start didn't take place: hair from guests before everywhere still distributed on the bedspread.
On Wednesdays, there is no service instead of.
Loungers right on the hotel too few. Two beach chairs plus umbrella for 2 times 3+4= 10 Euro per day at the public beach. read more

Wonderful view on the sea or the national park from almost every room of the hotel for a three-star hotel the rooms are very big and even for a family with additional beds is sufficient space. read more

We are two adults and a 7 year old son and we were lucky to have picked up this excellently cared for hotel. We booked with Thomson. We arrived and checked in very quickly, the ladies at the reception desk are so friendly and nice to children.
The Hotel itself was of an excellent standard with regard to the accommodation it provided, it is not the most modern, but we had a family room which was tasteful and clean, with TV, hairdryer, a fridge and more than adequate bath/shower-room with hair and body wash provided.
The hotel staff were fantastic ..., very nice to us, helpful, and work extremely hard. Excellent swimming pool with a reasonably priced drinks and snacks. There are two outside pools, a big one with a seperatin for children, a second small one for young children, and a very small one for babies Their terraces are beautiful and there are plenty of sunbeds. There is a table tennis table, you can rent the table tennis bats for free.
We stayed half board. The buffet food was of the highest quality that we have ever experienced before, it was always hot, varied and plentiful, in one week that we spent there, they never once had the same meal twice, the desserts were gorgeous. The restaurant was well run and it worked very well.
There is a kids lounge with a tv and pool tables and also an adults only tv room (good for the men watching the footie) and reading/chill out room. Kids club was great and our son loved every minute of it
We were also very pleased with entertainment in and around the hotel, the Hotel provided entertainment for all ages every evening. (The mini disco was a bit short thhgh, should be at least an hour long) Guests in the hotel are a mixed of nationalities, most english, but we also met some Spanish and italians.
The hotel is spotless, Reception, Bar,Toilets etc were all kept very clean and tidy. The Swimming Pool and Terraces areas were also tidy and clean.
The beach itself is beautiful. Nice,quiet and relaxing. Weather was very good.
The hotel is located about 30 minutes walk to the resort, but a very nice walk, no cars, great the kids can just run all the way and wear themselves out. Transport links to the local town were frequent and reliable. Can Picafort has also an excellent street market on Fridays where bartering is the name of the game. It had no end of shops and restaurants spanning the seafront and a little harbour which is very picturesque at sunset.
We hired a car through the reception, cheaper than Thomson.
Would certainly recommend this hotel again and again to anyone who is looking for a hotel near by most of the main shops, beaches, restaurants ect. read more

Very nice location, right on the sandy beach from son baulo. The port is about 15 minutes walk away (small shops and good gastronomy). The food was always varied and very tasty. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool area and garden were very well-kept. There is a main pool, the familienbecken and where most of the activities took place. The rooms are on the last floor- the view of the see is wonderful

We visited this hotel previously in August and we liked it so much that we convinced all our family to spend a few days by end of seson, in October. We are a big family with members of all ages, including children. I travelled alone, as I was not sure to be able to travel when all the family booked with Thomson, so I made a last minute internet booking. Reception staff were eer so nice, they arranged for me to stay all together and upgraded my room for free, when I asked they just said it was low season ... and we have empty rooms. The situation of the hotel is perfect, on a beautiful beach, you literally go from the hotel to the beach. The food is beautiful, rooms confortable with breathtaking views. Hotel spotlessly clean. The entertainment staff were so good, children loved the mini disco.and.the weather was so good, very warm, sea water clear and warm.Great. I meant to write a review in August but never had the time. read more

This hotel is for people, a peaceful and relaxing holiday secluded from wild and lively parts of this beautiful island Mallorca want to experience. From all rooms one has a breath-robbing views over a small sandy bay, the incredibly kobaltblauen mediterranean ocean This hotel is only a small stone's throw away from the popular, but never overcrowded beach with fine and soft sand. The interior of the son baulo is simple and elegant and provides more than a decent level of comfort and style. The staff is friendly and the guests always satisfying. This was our second time, previously visited in September 2009 We had such a good time. The Son Baulo is a very good 3 stars hotel in a superb location, the beach is one step away, with a very good service, food and entertainment at an affordable price.
We had a nice room with a double bed and 2 very comfortable single beds, nicely decorated. It seems to have been recently refurbished, double glazed windows, nice bathroom, flat screen TV and lovely air cond. Everything spotlessly clean. We requested a non smoking room at the time of booking, and we ... got it. Restaurant is also very clean and service is very good, all waiters were efficient and friendly. About the food, breakfast selection was very good, fruits, cereals, meats, eggs, bacon, cheese, a range of teas, pastries….Both breakfast and dinner are of a high standard, and we always found the choice to be of more than acceptable. And we have travelled extensively and are not easily pleased. Very good service from restaurant staff. At lunch, 2 bars serve burgers, omelettes, chicken filets, salads, bagettes, sandwiches.
The rest of the hotel was also very clean, pool area never crowded, and gets the sun all day long. Plenty of sun beds, never had a problem finding one.
There is games room with TV, machines and pool tables for children, which we thought is was very good idea as this room is near the main area when entertainment is hold, so children can go there after the mini disco. We never ventured there, as our children loved the shows.
The walk from the hotel along the sea front it takes you to the resort centre and is a lovely, easy flat walk of about 20 minutes. The beach and the sea were wonderful. read more

Rapporteur, wonderful directly at the sea located hotel that due to its location four stars deserves. Almost all very large rooms have a view of the sea the staff are very helpful and you can tell that many of them have been around for many years in this very informally run House work. The complex is very clean and the entertainment every evening changes in many regular beliebtim August 2011, we have our very silver wedding in the beautiful garden with villa (Cases de San Mart son) organized by the hotel celebrated. read more

The hotel might not be impresive at first sight, but it offered almost everything that we needed for perfect leisure .
Unbeatable location, only a few steps to the sand and sea, excellent swimming pool with large number of lounges and parasols, around by palms and trees. Hotels rooms of good size with tv, air cond, (fridge by extra charge, 2.60 euros)overlooking for pools or sea. Food was lovely with great choices for breakfast and dinner. Reception staff very friendly, all the staff are exceptional.

This is one of the best 3 stars hotels we have visited in 10 years and 19 different hotels for its position and its value for money. Of course you will find better ones for 4 or 5 stars. Do not expect much luxury but you have everything one needs for a very good beach holiday. relaxing atmosphere, very warm weather, clean sea and beach at your doorstep, very nice, and helpful staff, good food, both breakfast and dinner. Even if you do not like evrything on buffet, you' ll find always something as there are plenty of different dishes. ... Rooms could be more modern, but they are very clean and had all you need, confortable beds, plenty of hot water, modern tv, very spacious. Nothing to complain about read more

The hotel iis very clean and the rooms were definitely larger than average with tv and air cond The ladies who clean the rooms do a marvellous job and are extremely jovial and always greet you with a smile. The whole place was spotless.
The food was good, especially when you think they are catering for so many people. They had a large choice of meat/fish dishes, salads and good desserts too.
Breakfast had a very large choice suitable for all. There is a snack bar that serves terraces, literally on the beach, and also another one by the pool ..., they sell pizza, burgers, salads etc from 10 - 6 each day.
Kids were well catered for, no complaints at all on that front, and buffet always handy for kids as can keep going up to find something they like. Kids club was great, my 6 year old had a great time.
Pool was fantastic, never had a problem with sun beds. There was a children very shallow pool which is quite small but is excellent for very young children and another one for babies
The evening entertainment was good, with children time from 7.30 - 9 which was the same most nights but they enjoyed it, followed by bingo, then a show, these included an excellent flamenco-rock show, hypnotist, singer Claudia, tributes,….
The beach is lovely with an unforgettable colour of sea and distance mountains
There are plenty of shops, and a great market to visit once a week (Fridays) read more
