We were end of August 2012 for one week in the hotel. A catastrophe! Shortly before the beginning of the us from the hotel told, that because of the südpazifikkonferenz end of August 2012 we 1 day early the hotel leaving need. As a replacement we were free the pacific offered, okay. The on the entire island large construction with riesenbaggern, trucks, noise and demolition - respectively umbauamßnahmen take place, we were not told. Directly in front of the water bungalows were the riesenbagger, large tombs have been drawn, the whole day only hammering and saws and trucks traffic, because ... the sand newly purchased was. Because of our solid criticism was a discount granted with the commitment, the 26 August sundays all construction been completed, the pool finished, the lorries and dredger ceased to be. On tuesday was still in the old, noise, construction, dredger. A additional refund rejected the management despite not proper commitments in nachhiein from. In addition there, the everywhere on the island ( also close to the beach and close to the water bungalows) the construction debris and other trash jotted was. So: dump in the south seas! read more

Aitutaki lagoon blue as blue as is. A dream! The island Akitua, where the hotel lies, is not far away from the airport (aircraft noise has to be there is no fear!). The resort is informal and you know among the guests, comes easily into the discussion, because all are relaxed and open. The hosts are very welcoming and well. You know already after a short time with names! And Alex (the hosts per se) as well as the other concerns the crew on the first day therefor, that you felt comfortable. I ate also good (two restaurants, the alternating ... open, depending on the reservations are both open) and a small shop next to the front desk had, you need (postcards, snacks, drinks, etc.) for relaxation is made: the bungalow has a balcony and beach chairs, on the beach you will find all day free borrowed or hammocks. Furthermore, the view of the sea directly on the lagoon is very Aitutaki relaxing. Probably some of the most beautiful, I have ever seen. Unfortunately the water is super clear, but the view of the beach is not perfect. Therefor there are better places within the lagoon. On a boat trip across the lagoon and you could get to places, where one can see the sea deep down. Swimming and kayaking is very good, though, and it was a lot of fun in this view! Bathing shoes dress (kayak and bathing shoes are available). It was a boring by the crew for entertainment provided. There are anytime again exciting events, where you can taste. Similarly, it was worth it with a bike to explore the island and the highest point ('mountain' 124m Maungapu on) within walking distance. Here you can see, that you really are the most beautifully located resort has chosen. But now times honestly on Aitutaki everything was really nice! read more

The island is very much affected by cyclone. Palm trees are in sad state. The hotel is being renovated at the time regardless of, the whole day without consideration on the guests.
The staff is friendly, but incompetent. The breakfast buffet is besieged by bugs. But does not disturb. read more

We were there at the end/beginning of February. March in the department.
It should be a nice place to stay.
Unfortunately, it was a real disappointment.
Just before our arrival has been overtaken by a typhoon aitutaki. The resort has received a lot. The palms are not as close as the pictures on the internet, the houses were partially damaged. The is however not the reason why we were so disappointed. The resort has after our impression no four stars deserves. We had to fight with the following complying.
at the Breakfast, dirty tablecloths, dirty specialty steel containers from the ... breakfast buffet. Fruit flies on the juice containers were fighting with bug spray. Construction noise from entertainment and Aufbaumaßnahmen new bungalows! Smelling nuisance by burning Palmblättern and so on
We will not stay, and the resort can not recommend this. read more

The days on Aitutaki 2009 should be the icing on the cake of our honeymoon-but it was unfortunately not. The hotel was quite tired, worn-out and claiming the golden age had left much behind it. Service was available-but not more. Among other things, a big selling point for our booking was the possibility to rent surfboards for free. The first demand one communicated with, there are all SuRB knight was defective and waiting every day for their spare parts. This came during our entire stay on. But the beach yawl for 60, -/ hour NZ $(!) be rented. On the ... demand at the reception, whether due to a lack of surfboards for sailing a jury could, by the manager ' no!' Responded-once smiled and gone back to their office. I tried it on several occasions-without success. At last I said, that the memories of our honeymoon but for life and with what they carried my, my memories of this resort are. Oh well. The dinghy in the five days not even move!
On the over priced cereal prices of souvenir shops do I now not even begin. Even the advertising of the post to be paid for-ridiculous resorts wanted.
As already described, the bridge to the island resorts have been destroyed by a storm. Since you will be rewarded with a mini-ferry from one bank to the other-about 40 meter is only annoying, that the only until 23 hours and one bottle of red wine with the meal outside almost settled down fall. The idea, even rüb baby swim, we have fallen near the red and the strong current offenscitlich dropped.
For small purchases you to the port-here there is also something like a local Disco-but from O. a. Reasons for us at 10:40 P.M. was. but very entertaining.
Other than that, it was really a dream! You can (evening) food in the cafe 'Tupuna-here you should visit the' IKA Mata '. read more
