Totally no 5 stars worth. Everything would have to be reconditioned times...! But I mean everything...! Was already times in a 2 stars motel which would suffice. Only individual guests were satisfied... But merenteils were unsatisfied. read more

The hotel is all around really dirty! Everywhere is a bit broken, and it smells very, very unpleasant mold! If you have room not in the main building booked, you have 3 different lifts change and walk a bit, to be room to achieve. read more

    Now it comes! In all the years vacation, the I as a turk in Turkey have done, I still never experienced something like that! Mornings at o'clock I arrived and I was told, my time until o'clock to pass, because they no room for me had (6 months before the vacation reserved). This is it, even the concept in the entire Turkey his, not true! Only after vociferous argument, the hotel manager and gave us a room. From the opening the door, there was a nasty moldy odor into the nose, which only after a half hour climate and fensteröffnung was gone. The stench was intolerable! The room was standard moderately furnished, with vanity, tv, chest of drawers, closet and bed. If you don't in the main building a room has, get a art bungalow, with 2 shared floors. The upper had a franz. Balcony the lower however a glass door, at the complete strangers turned up people walked and peek in may.

    The food you can eat, however it was not diverse! Who amongst others at lunch no fish may, has no alternative on chicken, beef, etc. Because it almost only one type of meat was. In the drinks area smelled very strongly after mold, so that it bad was.

    The staff and the entertainment team the most efficient done, for the physical wellbeing to satisfy. They were friendly and nice, however showed only a handvoller people foreign languages skills. The rooms were cleaned, however in the one week not even the bed linen changed. Complaints in the positive meaning taken and implemented.

    The pool was always cleaned. If you stay here however late, don't get beach chair, because too few were there. We are over 60% of the pool chairs were defect. Activities in the hotel complex was rarity! Only 2 evenings were in the hotel a little organized. Most of the time events outside from the hotel offered. Mostly respectively always there disco offers included transfer.

    The location is actually ok. The hotel lies between Gümbet and Bodrum on a hill, with a nice view. It is even extensive possible the center from Bodrum and Gümbet to reach on foot.

The hotel is huge, but nevertheless exciting set up. It is located on a level, what a priceless view of Bodrum and the small inselketten made possible. A feast for the eyes! Very nice, comfortable, clean and of high quality hotel! Bravo to the engineer! read more

    Restaurant is a 5 star kitchen. There was no reason something to complain about. There are several bars, all stylishly and rapid service supply. The prices outside of the all inclusive bid does not depart from other european prices from. So acceptable.

    The central location made possible the rapid connection to Bodrum city center but also to Gümbet, the place where the nightlife dominated! Off course the hotel lies right next to the sea. The sea is clean and inviting to to swim!

Who good calves and powerful stair rise can is right at home here. Stairs up stairs down and you take no grams. In spite of the very good food. The kitchen was clean however the rest of the hotel not really. What very unangenhm was the after kloake stinky odor the zeitweilen on the pool and above all nearby the elevator to the hotel was handled rather well. The Virginianer work. That isn't on at all. Dar sea is wonderful, the water quality is super, lots of fish and you can in night as well swimming, which very pleasant is. ... Water sports everything great not too expensive and not pushy. Bordum is very close, I would go to see but in spite of the beautiful vacation not again in this hotel! The hotel is OK- but once is enough than but also. Nevertheless have fun the Virginianer and friendly greetings to Speedy Konzales and its cocktails. read more

We were there from the front desk to food, entertainment, cleanliness and friendliness to be very disappointed. Here What is going wrong can only inclined. Where are the reviews I don't know. I would recommend this hotel not even recommended my enemies! read more

Hotel inventory in particular in the bar area is worn. After three days, three out of four people in our group reactive attacks and diarrhea. The sparrows sat on the buffet in the food. The management had therefor the point: you could not catch sparrows. The cats are not allowed in the dining room, therefor you were on the terrace, where also ate there, on the tables. Beds were hard like a board the. The mold in all baths, I have seen. The warm decor of the dishes worked only part, so there were a lot of the food was ... cold. The location of the hotel is fantastic. read more

Earlier this hotel may have earned more stars. Now it is quite run down. The elevator in rainy weather from. There you have to work, but then about 160 steps to climb. the hotel at first glance seems with its large lofty entrance hall very inviting and hospitable, but the appearance deceives a little. Already with the receipt all the before us checked in as well as a list with the great ' Inklusiveleistungen ' before the nose held and the default text runtergerasselt. A smile came here nobody on the lips! Since we late in the evening arrived we had only about 1 hour to eat, but also here the same time a cushion.     the size of the room is adequate, the furnishings however poor. Except the bedspread we found no possibility in order to maintain our body temperature before. Also here we were given on demand a blanket provided. The bathroom was small and well arranged. The toilet ran continuously, the shower curtain was too short and too narrow, so that after showering the whole bathroom underwater and it was everywhere black mold in the joints. Warm water was rather luxury, which was probably with the solar radiation of the house is connected. A fridge is available, the designation'mini bar' is however very far seized. This was literally empty, not once a bottle of water was in it available. The air conditioning was not usable, as they were without in use taken to, after mold smelled and unappetizing appeared. After several requests was this however the same evening fixed. Also the cleaning the room was cleaned only on the third day after repeated complaints in all level. At the following days you could not cleaning speak, it was solely the garbage bin and the towels changed!

    the hotel seems at first sight a bit remote on a hill to lie, however is the distance in both localities (Bodrum & gumbet) only few minutes on foot away. The sun has here even in the late evening, while other hotels already in the shade beach chairs. In Bodrum is the beautiful port with wonderful boat tours and day trips can exercise. Also options for shopping are fully given. Lots of small restaurants on port the whole really stylish feel. The other village (area) is rather the louder, more active area with many bars and clubs.

We were in the previous guests joy club, the Virgin is generally become better, above all, better management, better service. Some rooms have been renovated, very nice decor-we had a suite. The cleanliness was generally good, except for the table cloths, which didn't bother! The toilet at the dining room was not clean-unfortunately! Besides, as I said everything was okay. The staff at the front desk very friendly, partly German speaking. The hotel is well secured, we felt safe! We'll be back! read more

The location is as mentioned above almost perfect. You have from the upper terrace a fantastic view of the port from Bodrum and the castle. The quality of the restaurant was not at all our requirements. We have the vacation however not spoil and have some meals in the 'Marina Yachtclub Bodrum' restaurant... Can only be recommended! Here, however, on the wardrobe 8.! I can recommend the hotel if you are in the location is the european claim one or another time except 8 at i... The location makes this good! read more

The food was very good and varied. The beach directly in front of the hotel area, clean and sufficient pool chairs available. Wonderful view to gumbet and Bodrum centre. Staff (gastronomy, entertainment, front desk) there is nothing to complain about it, nice and helpful so should be. My sister and I had a perfect beach holiday in a dream location between gumbet and Bodrum. The sea water was very clean, one could see to the bottom. The beach area of the hotel, nicely laid out, artificial beach with beach chairs and ladders into the water, on the other hand, sometimes normal beach chairs. Location of the hotel was perfect for the views of the islands and on the mainland was excellent. For gumbet, Bodrum or to get there were buses, cost very little. Very recommendable is the bar mile in gumbet. Food was very good, many Turkish ... specialties and varied. The salad buffet was always something for everyone. Even at the dessert buffet there was selection Turkish food, but too sweet who could fall back on melons and apples. Especially enjoyed the homemade bread, also full grain, which is available throughout the day in the restaurant. Hotel you could compare with three stars with us as it is built on a hillside, there are many stairs, initially a little out of breath, you can feel the muscle with the time formally ☺ But there is a lift between Spa area and main building. The rest of the steps to the pool and the beach you go. All in all, my sister and I found the hotel, the place or setting for a perfect holiday at this time. read more

    It is the only hotel that is located on a beautiful hillside and therefore away from the noise of the city, which is really hectic in the evening! With the dolmus is the city can easily be reached, even a taxi is not too expensive! Beautiful views from the hotel on the districts of Bodrum and Gümbet!

A great and large complex, unfortunately somewhat run down, as in many complexes in Turkey, the clean workmanship of materials used was lacking. Cleanliness was passable, but lacking in one or the other corner, since the entire complex had to make due with a small number of staff (my impression). read more

    Club room! Small TV, whereby we only received the signal for one German channel on two days. The balcony was so small that only one chair fit on it. Occasionally, the minibar was filled with 2 small bottles of water free of charge. The rooms were old but had already been renovated, our furniture was ok, but the walls had been painted over an undefinable number of times. Shower with black mould and bad drainage. The A/C was good. And, we had over 30 mosquitoes in the first few days!!! Despite window screens (tiny window).

    Well, at the beginning rather good, but then 2-star after 14 days. Warm food daily, but it quickly got monotonous. Vegetable dishes were always good, but meat was economized. Often, things from the freezer were also served (finished products). One only sometimes got butter at breakfast, and during dinner I often passed on the meat because the waiting line at the single counter where it was served was too long (one Döner skewer for all guests).

    The staff was friendly and always made all effort, but there weren't enough employees. And nobody spoke proper German, either broken German or none at all. Mostly English. Rooms were clean.

    The music was too loud at the pool. The entertainment wasn't too obtrusive. There was only a small section of beach, but the water was good. Unfortunately, only a couple of iron ladders led out of the water, which wouldn't be very accomodating to older people.

    A short distance to Bodrum and Gümbet on foot. Perhaps slightly too steep for older people. The view was top. Especially the view of the fortress in the evening. The transfer from the airport was under 45 minutes.

For older people the many stairs could be a problem. This is the price for the great location. You have a wonderful view of the bay. The nearby (about 1 kilometer) Bodrum airport (about 30 kilometer) and is a thick plus. The food is wide and varied. Especially at the 'Turkish night' every Tuesday presented culinary pleasures of the Turkish cuisine. If you miss schnitzel with fries, however, the best stay at home! The Club rooms are acceptable, particularly since one anyway only for sleeping visits. Overall the hotel is highly recommended. read more

By Turkish standards the area was okay in this category. But on another holiday in Greece, we stayed in a 3.5 star hotel and it was a lot more luxurious. The area was large and in general it was luxurious. The lobby, the reception and the spa area were the most beautiful there. read more

    Cheap club room. Basically ok also with the furniture. Also a small terrace which was a passage but hardly used by the other guests. The bathroom was in my opinion for 4 star hotel insufficient as the shower wasn't a cubicle but only had a curtain. The rest was ok. Air conditioning system was unfortunately also somewhat defective.

    Basically, it was as above. The food was very good. It was varied but some dishes unfortunately repeated every day and leftovers from lunch were used again at dinner. The breakfast was also in order.

    Oh well in the first 2 days the service was very good. We were always served well for meals and it went quite quickly. There were about 200 or 600 guests there. From the 3rd day it started going slowly downhill. Self-service, the plates were nearly torn away from you while eating and the tables stayed a bit unclean. Everyone somehow spoke English. Altough for without ice you should say no ice and not without ice. The drinks at the bar were as usual with very little alcohol. And you needed about 25 Vodka Lemons to get the same effect as in Germany. I'm not talking of getting stupidly drunk but of beeing in a good mood. The activities were somehow too loud and much too loud. The guys were only interested in the girls. But nice on the whole. The female activity staff were in completely the wrong place and thought they were great. But that probably depended on the season.

    It was good 2 fitness centers, 2 Hamam, 1 whirlpool, 2 saunas, paddleboat and canoe only one each. For money there were water sports. Whirlpool did not work any longer and a pool was recently cement filled. Thus wrong data in the catalogs. Minidisco. And afterwards entertainment with DJ at the beach bar. He played the same music everyday and got genuinely bad with time. The beach wasn't beautiful as it was brown gravel there. And swimming area.

    The location of the hotel was very good compared to other hotels around Bodrum. You could get to the city by taxi for 5 Euros. The ususal price is actually 6 Euros, but you just have to ask. We only saw a Dolmus taxi once. We perferred to take the taxi as it was cheaper for us and not so stressful. You could also walk without any problems to Gumbet, it was a 15 minute walk. You could go shopping midway between the hotel and Bodrum and at a market in the area. But it was not necessary actually, as you got everything in the hotel. It took about 40 minutes to get to the airport. Depended on which bus you took. There was entertainment in Bodrum and also in Gumbet. Gumbet is actually not worth seeing, if you are not looking for something quick. But it's cheap though. You could get cocktails from 9 Lira. Bodrum was better. It's expensive to get in, but there were lots of nice bars and nightclubs. Such as the Halinkarnas and the Club Marine. Tip: Both of them were very expensive. It cost 25 Euros to get on the ship. With one free drink. So, it was okay. A coktail cost 15 Euros. Longdrinks cost 10. Beer 8. But the venue was unique and with good house/electronic music.

I cannot fault the hotel; it was in a beautiful location, with wonderful staff and great food. The only pitfall would be the steps, and when you\'re at the bottom of them it can be quite daunting. especially in the heat!! There is a lift, but it doesn\'t take you as far down as the pool or the beach, so you can\'t completely escape the steps! The hotel is spread over many levels and we still didn\'t venture everywhere within the week! I wouldn\'t recommend this for families with small children, the elderly or immobile. The lobby terrace overlooks Bodrum ... Castle, which looks lovely at sunset, and coupled with a cocktail,it\'s perfect for relaxing after dinner! The lobby itself is beautiful and a great place to chill out. There is a tv area, which is quite useful if you have a late return flight and have to hang around for the transfer. Overall, Turkey is a beautiful country with so much to see and do, and the Joy Club hotel was the icing on the cake. We had a fabulous holiday and we would very happily have stayed for another month! This hotel is a must if you wish to stay in Bodrum. read more

    Our room was set amongst the white bungalows with magnificent views over the bay. The room was very clean and spacious with 2 wardrobes... perfect for me and my sister with our excessive amount of clothes! The sheets were changed everyday and the towels were changed about 4 times in the week. They also provide you with beach towels, which you can change as often as you like. It was very peaceful during the day... all you could hear were the birds, although at night you can hear the music from the disco down by the beach. The aircon drowns out some of the noise, but I would recommend that you take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper... they worked wonders for me! There was a power point in the bathroom, 4 under the tv and one by the wardrobes (which didn\'t work in our room). They have a hairdryer in the bathroom, but our\'s didn\'t work too well, and we could smell smoke coming from it at one point so we ceased to use it! There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, so you need to trek to the restaurant or the bars for a drink. The safe is about 2 euros a day and you enter your own personal 6 digit combination into it. It\'s large enough to fit all your cameras, mp3s, passports etc. The aircon in the rooms was brilliant, however in the public areas, such as the lobby, it wasn\'t particularly great unless you were stood in front of it! The public areas were lovely though, and very well maintained. The lobby had big comfortable sofas and armchairs that were great for slumping onto when coming in from the heat. The staff behind the lobby bar were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

    There are several bars dotted around the hotel and the bottled water is inclusive, as well as some really yummy cocktails! The food was delicious... only a small portion of it didn\'t look too appetizing, but there was so much choice we never went hungry. If you have a sweet tooth you\'ll be spoiled for choice also... the cakes were incredible! There is always a large selection of fruit on offer too. Everywhere was kept spotlessly clean and the food was fresh and a lot of it was made in front of you.

    The staff were all very polite and friendly, and always looked after us. Their English wasn\'t too great, and regretfully we forgot to pick up a phrase book, but with some rather animated hand gestures, we managed to communicate effectively! Check in was very quick and efficient and we never had to wait to be seen to.

    We only used the pool once, as the sea was really warm and away from the entertainment (great if you have kids, but not if you want to read or just relax). The hotel has it\'s own private beach including a decked area, which was kept very clean and the bar staff regularly came around to collect glasses etc. There were plenty of sun loungers, although a few people decided to put their towel on a lounger and then disappear for the rest of the day... bit frustrating at times when trying to find some together.

    The hotel is ideally situated away from all the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough to jump in a taxi and go into the centre when you fancy it. The views are amazing... the hotel overlooks Bodrum and the castle, as well as it\'s own private bay. We certainly sensed a high degree of jealousy from holiday makers at other hotels when we were picked up for the coach transfers to our trips!

I will recomend that hotel for very young people less concerned about high standard. That is really nice hotel but deffinitely shouldnt have four star. the main reason that is rooms- small poor furnished without any self catering possibilities, bathrooms with mould on the walls(rooms in main building were a little better).Food was good, service very friendly and polite, nice pool, perfect weather. read more
