Restaurant: after the dinner was not cleaned, in the morning there were still the remains of the food in our child on the floor under the chair, stains on the table cloth. It was always after the breakfast cleaned. The breakfast was us too few varied. There was a sort of cheese, salami, ham, every day directly. No fresh salads, as meat salad or similar, no fruit salad ( fresh fruits but it was available). We know that much more, are spoiled from other hotels. One day was even butter and yoghurt from, because poorly planned ahead was. However the ... waiters was very friendly and also the further staff.
What we also a bit upset comment I have is, was the cleanliness of the washbasin in our bath. There was under the edge black mold, what you always looked, if one on the toilet sat. It was unfortunately within of the washbasin, the 'counter' to the washbasin stuck a little on the deep washbasin, so that one it from above not looked.
The heater rippled like a water fall, until we at night vented and then also on display. The balcony door was not really close and the whistle the wind was one night in spite of the additional wooden doors on the balcony a bit hard to get used to. Luckily was the wind only the one night on our doorstep-)
The walls are very thin, it is very badly soundproofed.
Apart from that we did but very comfortable and könnrn recommend it! read more

Nice view from the room on the lake, apart from that however a very dated hotel with filthy Spannteppichen and a bathroom from the 70. Years. The breakfast room looked like a cafeteria and the breakfast is very poor. The restaurant has, again, a nice view but there is a lack of comfort and warmth-the ' Kantinegefühl ' is also here as. We had the half board what not recommendable is, one has a choice menu however the quality of the food is very moderate ( Fertigtortellini, to soft boiled vegetables etc.) and this on a place where you ... are in virtually every still so small restaurant beautiful homemade pasta get. read more

Will be back at any time, we really enjoyed it. The location is magnificent located, it has a great about over the lake. The bathing beach is further down at the slope, unfortunately we had in the 5 days not the possibility swimming, it rained unfortunately and was cold. We had the motorcycle for everyone. There is a wonderful, for motor biker great,
Hinterland, great winding Stassen and the directly in front of the house. Ledrosee, Idrosee and so on everything great half-day tours, there is also for different much time. read more

Great swimming vacation on lake Garda

The partial freshly renovated house features approximately 50 rooms, a covered indoor swimming pool with a direct access the lawn, a roof terrace and a restaurant. Wifi is one hour free available and can afterwards subject to a charge used (12 hours costs 10 Euro).
Parking spaces are the guests free of charge available. If the parking spaces right on the hotel were full, which often happened, you had to a ticket at the front desk pick-up, with the parking spaces in the direction beach could use. Cave! Never just a minute by car in front of the hotel stand ... still! The police is so rude, that you immediately a fat fine gets, if one only times in the hotel inquire wants, where you park ( on the day of arrival so done cost us 80 Euro!). Tip: rather before the restaurantzugang stay or other cars short parking!
The age structures are mixed, from young couples over families up to older people is everything available. We mainly German, italians and austrians met. The hotel mostly for short break use, the majority of the guests were average 4 days there.
You can overnight stay with breakfast or half board book. There the half board surcharge only was low, we booked this. You can but also well out eat out. read more

The place gargnano lies about in the middle the Gardaseewestufers with mountains in the background and a charming character without large touristy can retain.
The hotel, however on the road convenient, but the rooms go to the lake out ( beautiful lake view ), so that nothing mind. Indoor pool in the house with access to hotel sunbathing area. Parking spaces available at the house.
Our quad room was completely reasonable, unfortunately somewhat little places to put things and Schrankkapazitäten. The ladder to the kid on the gallery was quite steep and not only 100% ig attached, but for our ... kids functional.
The breakfast from the buffet was for Italy good and plentiful.
The Halpensionabendessen was regarding selection, arrangement and taste good, but not outstanding-there is in the comparison still air upward. The drink prices: 3,50 Euro for 0.75 liter mineral water, 7,00 Euro for a half liter Fanta, the wines from the menu certainly interesting, but in my eyes reasonably priced as well as some high-the know we who travel a lot also differently, can however from each assessed.
The pebble beach ( bathing shoe are recommendable) is free, clean and nearby ( at a small street berab and later back again high), with many olive trees for shady spot. A restaurant supplied with hunger and thirst, as well as with luftmatratzen and other need of beach.
All in all a nice vacation, but not outstanding. Perhaps it is also because of the fact, that we following week in South Tyrol ( Seiser Alm) from the hotel clearly positively surprised were!? read more

Very friendly staff the very many languages spoke, the food was outstanding Italian, parking spaces there are plenty of, if not in front of the hotel than 50 meters direction beach. To the beach it are 150 meters it is not on the main street and it is a very large, beautiful sunbathing area with olive trees available. To the town center it is 250 meters where a shop and also to stroll is well suited. The hotel we can and the beach highly recommend. read more

There is the really or is it just a myth?
The 'typical' on a country.
We are often in vain or at the wrong place.
Sometimes but it seems moments to give, as everything matches unplanned and unintentional together, like a jigsaw puzzle. Long forgotten pictures dreams and ideas are suddenly ubiquitous and the incredible reality. So done before a couple of years on Lake Garda. The Chance rinsed us in an area, which we until then not even knew, that it is. In July this year we spend now already for 4. A part of our vacation.
Gargnano, a ... small and incredibly clean Italian spot on Lake Garda, all what we so far only from movies the 60. Years knew. Narrow quaint streets, beautiful old houses, a small port, bars, shops, lots of greenery and yet more flowers of all colors. Mountains and water, as well as people their daily Alltagsgeschäften follow.
Here they were, the legendary Galaderias and celebrates one still atmospheric public Festivals like in old times.
It was, for us the 'typical' Italian world, what we were looking for. But where were the crowds, the US bumper to bumper on the way to Lake Garda ' guides' had? All in this place is well arranged. The natives are in the majority and the number of tourists holds itself very within limits. There is a good baker, a great meats and there are still free parking spaces! Tourist, what else do you want? But be careful, there is also industrious Policemen, the many expensive ticket can spread!
Our Hotel Meandro looks on the first glance smaller, than you expected. But this impression deceptive very, as we later found out. You should have stayed in the first days on, with the right elevator, the right floor to get. The hotel owes not spacious gardens its charm, but on the contrary, it is the lots of small details, the guest will be charged eye. You have a reservation with lake views and open the balkontüre in the darkened room for the first time, one is almost overwhelmed by the spectacular panorama. Blue skies, green and sun-drenched mountains. Before the lake, which means lake, almost a sea, which as a jewel in the sun sparkles. Ships, surfers and much swim fun, just a crazy!
Hundred times the same photo shot and still always new and simply nicer.
A lucky, that the era of good old Rollfilme with only 36 pictures is over!
The rooms and the whole establishment were very clean and the change of towels above average. A only morning we have tried the bed to 'build'.
Unfortunately without remaining Success, as the women from the room service, everything always new and perfect again reasonable bring.

A small restriction we would have paid but.
If we now our beautiful Greek sand beach here, would be gargnano paradise on Earth and would for certain our Greek favorite rappers Greckoe in its' typical Greek ' art very good.

Thus the rooms and the hotel were clean and beautiful, the hotel lies but directly at a street, you have to just like, but in the back with view to the lake out you can hear it nothing at all if you in the room is. On the lawn, also a small street past the lake leads. So you must or other car or motorcycle then nevertheless in purchase.
If you have a party vacation want to do with lots of bars and pubs, you are totally wrong.

A well run family hotel on the Lake Garda in gargano, not very far from limone. Good crossings, small cute romantic harbor with nice restaurants, gelaterias, and small shops. Luckily not tourist stronghold. Everything was very peaceful.
The dark narrow tunnel of lime to gargnano are already took some getting used to. There should be more attention was, that the lighting much better is. read more

The Hotel Meandro has great value for money. It is very clean and the food is really good. The dining room has a nice view on the lake. The standard rooms should once again be renovated. The superior and deluxe room leaves nothing to be desired. The staff are very friendly and felt very comfortable. The swimming pool is a bit dark, but has a access to the beautiful garden. The sun-roof terrace has a breathtaking views of the lake and the mountain world. We are already three times there - we liked it very much. read more

This time, we had the renovated and larger new superior room booked, the circa 44 €more expensive than the shabby, small could have got regular room. This category approximately our usual standard. The view of the lake from the well-furnished terrace is very nice, even better in this category at least 1 chair and much sun sun screen.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, the service in the restaurant nice and professional quick. All speak understandable to good German.
The half board contacted us: the large salad bar is fresh, the 3-Bin choice menu varied and good.
Who early ... by its daytrip back you can find a parking on the forecourt of the right on the main street nearby hotels.
We can the hotel altogether recommend.
Unfortunately this time again easily avoidable annoyances met: the satellite receiver had 2 be exchanged times, the helpful Housemaid wasn't able, the mistake to fix it. On 2. afternoon made then a technician from outside for good, complete Astra-front desk. Are missing unfortunately still the usual instructions! For the ( silent) air conditioning. Even username and password had 1 be replaced, until Wi-Fi then worked. When our short stay we had this easily wedge to shortcomings unnecessary wasted time and frustration. read more
