The best hotel in Wengen. This was my second stay, the welcome, service and overall atmosphere are second to none. I would not hesitate to return again and I am particularly impressed with the attention to detail of the staff. read more

The hotel staff were excdeptionally friendly, the food very genorous, with a particularly good and wide choice at breakfast. The location was reasonably central, just 10 minutes walk to the lifts, but with closer storage for ski equipment in a sister hotel, mornings and evenings were easy. read more

In january 2013 i was for three days in the hotel 'wengener hof' and had a amazing short break! I of arrival to departure felt very comfortable. My single room was not very big however very comfortable designed. As i the whole day on the ski slope and only for sleeping in the hotel was, was the but not really matter much.
I found very positive:
- the friendly staff
- that the hotel a small sauna has
- wifi free of charge offers (in really good quality)
- that the hotel very calm but but centrally located
- that ... the music in the background very, very decent
- the price for the package (overnight stay with breakfast and ski ticket)
- and much more, what i just can't remember, i in any case felt like at home \u263a
My only (very personal ) point of criticism: there is no heated skischuhständer (three including i think the not so important. I would be more in the hotel, i would have appreciate, if the ski boots during the night dry may. The ski cellar is however heated.)
I would gladly again at any time go and can only recommend it. read more

The hotel wengener hof is a bit outside of the center, where it is very quiet. Also in the room are a few bothering noises to be heard. The food is excellent and varied decorated.
The staff are very accommodating. read more

Very beautiful hotel, the staff were very friendly and professional and the food simply magnificent! Our room was small, overall the bathroom, but nice and reasonably priced. That's why it has our expectations certainly met. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

I was in summer 2011 times in this hotel. This time I had a room with a balcony on the southern side, which pleased me very much. The whole staff are very friendly and they are known as those who travel alone was very good. I was certainly not for the last time there. With a renewed stay I would take a room on the south side. read more

The hotel and the surroundings offer a fabulous get away for any age group.
The staff are always friendly and helpfull and nothing is too much trouble.
Excellent views from the front of the hotel across the Lauterbrunnen valley and beyond.
The hotel is in an ideal location to marvel at the highest mountian in Europe ie the Jungfrau which you can visit daily. this makes it a great day out as the views are truely spectacular especially when the sun is out glistening on the snow.
Requested information by the hotel. read more

This hotel is set in lovely gardens just minutes from the village centre. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Those with south facing balconies (large) enjoy stunning views of mountains and Lauterbrunnen valley. The many repeat visitors at this time of year (average age older than in winter) are testimony to the hotel's consistently high standards. But there are plenty of newer guests too, from different age groups and different countries. read more

A hotel that is worthy of recognition having a great location with outstanding views. An excellent restaurant with a varied menu served by friendly, attentive staff. An extensive wine list served expertly. Lounge areas a little jaded but add to the charm and character of the hotel.

The hotel provides everything we really want to a very high standard. See below for further details about what we mean. (We had stayed there 3 times before, so some of the staff are almost like friends to us.) We think that it is only the lack of a swimming pool and a gym which prevents the hotel getting 5 stars. read more

We stayed for a week and found the hotel to be excellent in every way . it is decorated in an old fashioned way but we found this adds to the feel of the hotel. The rooms are a good size and had a seperate toilet. The food was all high standard and five courses a night. Hiking in the area also excellent it is necessary to buy a walking lift pass for your duration as it allows acess to all the ski lifts and also use of the trains. would highly reccomend. read more

The lighting in the restaurant and in of the bungalow was too weak.
The staff is not up-to-date, heating of shoes, etc.
The sauna should a small changing room have, as in of the bungalow no bathrobes. read more

We returned to this fantastic family run hotel for the third time this year. The service by all the staff is second to non, nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The food quality is excellent, although there is only one vegetarian option. The staff can all switch from English to French to German. When you walk through the front door its like walking into a friends house, they greet you as long lost friends or family and are genuinely pleased to see you and recognise you from previous visits.
The decore in all the rooms is dated ... but in a nice way, apparently it's been the same for many years, every time the place is redecorated the same paint and wallpaper are used. This all adds to the vintage feel that this fantastic hotel has. read more

We enjoyed the family, quiet and somewhat oldfashion -moderate atmosphere, the real fireplace-fire, the kind crew, the great food and the excellent wines at very fair prices! The week skiing in wengenerhof is relaxing than 3 weeks on any beach in the south seas. Here you can really take a break from everyday life! Keep it up. read more

This hotel has the most pleasant and courteous staff I have ever encountered anywhere. Allowing for the ability to store our skis and boots at the sister hotel adjacent to the main tram addressed any concerns we had about the slightly remorte location. The dining experience was excellent enhanced by the caring and helpful staff. This was a great hotel and holiday experience and we will return for future ski weeks. read more

This is the 4th occasion over 10 years we have stayed at the Wengener Hof and it has remained unchanged except for this year with the upgrade to smart cards for room access.
The service here is excellent. The restaurant is superb, the quality of the food is excellent and the breakfast is bountiful. Take away the restaurant and service and there is little else to set this hotel apart from any other.
In my opinion, the sanitary ware and decor in the rooms are getting a little tired. The Lounge and Bar show their age as well. But the ... restaurant and the silver service make these points pale into insignificance. read more
