Our advice for you: It is better not to have breakfast and dinner at the hotel but to eat in one of the many restaurants in Stalos and Chania. Our favourite restaurant was the "AMETHISTOS"! It is a 5-minutes walk away from the hotel. Just ask at the reception of the hotel. read more

This is a nice beach hotel. The food is very bad so it was offered, better to just book B&B. You can eat outdoors or itself in AP. The kitchen equipment is very good (oven, kettle, coffee, cutlery, plates ect ) The staff speaks very good English and there are also some speak German (for example Sofia) who just on a beach holiday and prefer sitting outside the Greek cuisine enjoys in this hotel was very well cared for. The restaurants in Chania are all very good, bus service every 30 minutes directly vora the hotel. (2.80 EUR per ... person per ride) or by taxi (10.00 EUR) read more

A nice location with all the bells and whistles. The food was very monotonous. The personnel has no catering knowledge. But there one can ignore that. Holidayers come about 90% from Scandivanian, Holland. The beach is situated in front of the door when you have successfully crossed over the street. Lying chairs are to get only for 4 euro. We have found umbrellas for ourselves. One can do shopping everywhere and catering is enough available. We had a nice holiday and every now and then we went out to eat, as we could not eat the same thing for 14 ... days long. read more

Hotel is in mint condition and very clean. Unfortunately the kid's playground only has a swing and a see-saw. The kid's pool is only separated from the adult pool by a net and posts. The water was always cold. The area around the pool is dangerously slippy. The buffet is very cramped. You have to cut the bread yourself at breakfast, which leads to a queue developing. The coffee machines couldn't cope with the sheer weight of numbers. The food at dinner repeated itself at regular intervals. It was mainly Cretan cuisine, that means all dishes contained lots of olive ... oil. They only had chips once, but there was spaghetti everyday. There was fish once, fish-fingers several times. For dessert there was a choice of fresh fruit and three types of ice-cream. The personnel was made up of permanent and temporary members of staff and they were all obviously struggling to cope with the work-load. read more

We stayed right at the back of the hotel. It was very quiet. Attractive, pristine furniture. TV has three German channels. Our son soiled a bed-sheet, which they threw away without supplying us with a replacement. Otherwise the bed-linen was changed regularly.

Only one restaurant. There were not enough seats outside when it got crowded. The drinks are very expensive.

Our cleaning lady was a bit over-zealous. Personal things, which were lying around were always tidied away into the cupboards. Hand-towels, which we had laid out to dry were folded. On the second day our sun-cream disappeared without trace. We gave them an item of washing, which was to be cleaned with the bed-linen, and had to ask around for three days before we got it back.

The pool was cleaned regularly. Unfortunately the children's pool was in the shade for most of the day. The sun-loungers were all reserved with hand-towels by 10 in the morning. The sea-water is very clean. The beach slopes slightly downhill towards the sea. Sun-lounger with parasol costs €5 a day.

The hotel is located on the main road. You need to cross it to get to the beach. There's no pedestrian crossing, no zebra crossing. The cars don't reduce their speed to make it easier for the pedestrians to cross. The pavement runs parallel to the road and is a potential stumbling block. Not suitable for an evening stroll, especially with a child. There weren't any nice shops in the immediate vicinity. These can be found in the Chania's old-town. Would highly recommend a trip through the mountains and into the south of Crete in a rental car. Beautiful scenery and great beaches.
