Traumfates small resort in the city-you get from the hustle and bustle this níchts with. Ideal for unhitch after sightseeing. After the visit of the night market, it is a double pleasure, here evenings to enjoy a cocktail. The room is clean and tidy - everything available, that you need.

So you can that in the northern thai lanna style of a small village built manathai village really call. A very nice garden inner courtyard with a small, but refreshing pool spread the rooms/junior suites in 5 houses.
Already at the entrance and in the lobby the particular style of the village characterised by interesting decorations, also the buildings and in the rooms find.
We had a beautiful equipped junior suite with a small terrace and a view of inner courtyard/garden and pool, a wi-fi stands the guests throughout the resort for free available.
In spite of the location in ... a small lateral road almost in the middle of the center is the manathai very quiet and seems far away from the commotion, although the night market and the historic part in 5 minutes within walking distance.
The breakfast in a restaurant on the first floor served with sufficient buffet and coffee, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato or espresso to choose from. At the lobby adjacent there is a beautiful pool bar with some tables on the terrace, on the we evenings an excellent dinner with perfect service, by the complete staff benefits, could enjoy. read more

Very nice, small hotel with a great atmosphere. We had one of the better rooms with a terrace. Very nice. Room was not very large. Everything in rustic style.
Buffet breakfast adequate. Eggs are served. Dinner taken care of. Lunch menu very good and tasty. Rates rather exquisite.
Small, but nice pool to relax after a long tour of Chiang May and its wonderful surroundings. read more

Little gem in the middle of the city

We stayed at the March four nights in the hotel extremely Thai village and the hotel can recommend unlimited. The hotel is located in the middle of the city and everything is within walking distance. Despite the central situation it is very calm in the area. The hotel is not very big and wonderful designed. Everywhere, the attention to detail and everything is the highest total. That began with the wonderful, opened lobby, goes beyond the decoration on the terraces and on at the flower.
We had only booked breakfast for our stay. The buffet was rather modest and we ... would have wished ourselves except toast, perhaps also, adopt a different type of bread, but the dishes were all very delicious and therefore completely sufficient.
We could neither the actually not very large rooms, somewhat strange layout of the bathroom (in our first room you could only by the shower in the bathroom get.) in dampen our enthusiasm. But if you are on a lot of space, respectively want more space, you should book at least one Junior suite. This is not very large, but a little more space. We enjoyed the normal double rooms however, with a little bit of improvisation can overcome some nights.
One of the highlights of the hotel are, except for the wonderful atmosphere, the staff. Even for Thai standards we have found this exceptional accommodating.
We were literally every wish was fulfilled. For us was a visit coordinated in a very good nail salon, including free shuttle there and back. Our Rep's birthday, we were in the afternoon on the terrace with a birthday cake surprised! And an employee of the hotel can arrange a driver and showed us to the silk factories and the like and all our questions about the land, people and customs we had answered. At a more than moderate price (4 hours for ten €).
We will definitely, if we ever go back to Chiang May, in the extremely Thai village again. read more

A really nice neatly arranged hotel area, which is worth of its money. The service was accommodating and attention to detail. The Junior suite is equipped of real Thai style. The complex is in a jungle similar palm forest nestled which a very special holiday feeling gives. The complex is only about five minutes walking distance from the eastern gate. The night market in about ten minutes reachable. Nice vacation in Chiang May! read more

The Thai village extremely is one of the most beautiful hotels, which we have ever visited. Plenty of decorative details give the hotel a unique Charme. For families with children the extremely Thai is, in our opinion, unlikely.
The Thai village extremely is very centrally located in the city, is however nevertheless calmly convenient. The only thing was that we had in the early morning hours car and moped noise from outside. But that is a larger city more than normal.
Top Hotel! Great location, very friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere. read more

We were on our North Thailand trekking for a night and it for two nights in the village and had seen manathai therefore also two different rooms or suites. The first room was right at the entrance to the outdoor bar. This room was not as big as our second in the back of the hotel. In both rooms the hardly existing storage space for clothes and other things negative. Otherwise, the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar, kettle, complimentary tea bags, coffee and water.
When you enter the hotel, a gong chimes and charged several staff members around ..., have a look around the luggage and the front desk. The check-in desk in sitting in a single place, on arrival you got a welcome-drink.
We ate at the hotel upon arrival in the evening, we found the food quality was very good. The price is significantly more expensive than outside. The breakfast is served on the first floor. Internet access in the hotel is free of charge, also there is free towels by the pool.
In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there is not much more than two laundries. The Thapae gate (entrance old town) is about ten minutes walk, the night market was about 15 minutes walk away. We are there but with the Tuk Tuk risks.
Very recommendable is, in our opinion, the evening buffet at the Shangri la Hotel Chiang May. The buffet offers all kinds of European and Asian (before and after) (sushi) on food. The atmosphere in this hotel is very luxurious. Cost about 300 Baht the buffet (without drinks per person).
The guest structure of the manathai village consists mainly out of couples middle-aged and elderly ages. All in all a very nice hotel with a great atmosphere Asian. For a couple of days city break, for more than one week we personally but quiet former. read more

We were in the extremely September 1 week at the Thai village. It is a cute little area in the centre of Chiang May. Our room (number 412) was a bit away from the pool and the bar, so we didn't hear any noise from other guests as good as nothing and were really good. The room itself was a good size. Free water, kettle, coffee and tea all the amenities are available. The staff are very friendly and tried hard. The only needed to get our opinion is the breakfast. You can order eggs in all variations. This will ... be a served. Everything else one could get at the buffet. Sausage and cheese but not. If you want, must ask during the operation. You should also say that you want a lot, otherwise you get two small slice and that's if you know how it works, it is not a problem. Otherwise, we couldn't complain.
Very recommendable is a small laundry room. If you walk out of the hotel (main entrance), straight ahead on the road runs, can be found about 50 meters to the left hand side. Looked like a garage, only with washing machines in it. For 1 kilo (washed and ironed) you pay for just 40 Baht. We have had bad experiences with Laudry's, but this lady understands their craft. You can safely tell you without hesitation, white linen. Nothing stained or shrinks.
If you like vegetarian dishes, the should in any case in the restaurant 'Aum'. At the gate to the left wonderful turn right and then about 20 meters. It is not very great equipped, but it was cheap and not to beat.
The walking street on the Sunday (huge market) and a Kanthoke dinner you should not miss (the latter can be booked directly in the hotel at the tour desk). All in all we loved our stay in Chiang May and extremely Thai village very much and we can recommend it unlimited. read more
