The vacation itself was perfect, for three stars ( apartment with a kitchen, balcony and breakfast) it was OK. The complex was outwardly as well as partially in the interior area before not too long time ago Apparently renovated. The breakfast, you have to honestly say, is bad. ( A Sort of sausage, a sort of cheese, very sweet jams and that was it also almost.) we then itself catered for. The location is good, because directly 50 meters from the hotel a supermarket is, of 8 hours until 24 o'clock on had. Keyword breakfast! The hotel is directly ... at the sand, Gravel -, stony beach. This has pros and cons: with high waves it is hardly possible right on the hotel into the sea to go, since large and medium-sized rock in the water and these be painful can. If you however a couple of minutes the beach left down runs you will find places, where you even at high waves into the water go can. For light waves is however everything OK and the view from the Hotelliege on the sea is just great
E. further you the possibility in any case itself in the pool cool, and with a sea view. Restaurants and bus connection you will find in the immediate area. The island itself is wonderful. With a car for 2 days we have many dreamlike beaches and there also a bathing. By the mountains to go was a lot of fun. For hikers is the Samaria gorge a must. And evenings in the cities Rethymnon and Chania to stroll and food was already great. I would also like to mention the in spite of the current location in Greece the Greeks very accommodating and had a great ability were. Anyway, overall the holiday was very nice. read more

We booked through TUI this hotel and were pleased, the all services were provided, and all in a very pleasant atmosphere.
The apartment ( with a view of the sea!) was simple and practically equipped, and since the good weather only for sleeping and occasional cook used, was enough the furnishings completely. The air conditioning for 6 €/ day additionally booked. read more

The apartments are grundstäzlich clean and cleaned daily. Bedding twice was in 1 week, 1 once this could have been a bit more often can happen. The complex itself is with faults and could use a new coat of paint use. ( lobby well renovated, would the hotel happen, it would be a good hotel) the doors could not closed a burglary therefore very easily possible. The Küchnieche we didn't really need, cooking but I would also not.
The biggest fault is however the air conditioning costs (5 Euro per day). This should in the price included his. In August ... you need them.
Breakfast was all right. Dinner - there was salad buffet ( always the same, but good) with the main course you chose from 2 menus. It was a 3-course menu ( Packet soup - main course - dessert (usually wassermelonen)
The food wasn't greek and also not particularly good. Variety for dessert would be desirable.
Our recommendation without half board book and in the taverns eat out. Good food for little money.
Staff were nevertheless very good. Good language skills, good recommendations always friendly and helpful. Also excursions could be booked through the hotel directly.
Beach was good and very nearby.
In short:
Hotel in need of renovation however with friendly staff equipped. Eat better in the taverns as in the hotel. Nachholungsbedarf. read more

The rooms were simple but equipped with everything! Cleaning of the rooms every day. Complex very well maintained, although it already somewhat older is! Only drawback, breakfast buffet '. But one can itself bought things for breakfast bring your own! ( nutella, marmelade, and so on.) A thick plus to the distance of the pool to the beach. Approximately 3 meters!

we had a studio, which was equiped with a small kitchen block, a fridge and came with all necessary things,
they offer breakfast as buffet and dinner à la carte,
during the day you can get snacks and beverages at the pool bar,
german, scandinavien, dutch and some other guests, mostly families,
we had to book he AC additionally to the price we paid in advance (6€/day) read more

Never again! I don't know, Wehr writes here good reviews. Perhaps, the German speaking owner makes itself. Hotel has a good location, that was it. Luckily may we frequent excursions and food in taverns (, although booked half board) us to carry out. Otherwise would be entire day spoiled. read more

The location is perfect and could beautiful not: directly on the quiet sandy beach with direct access and sun beds and otherwise centrally located in town with shoppingopportunities any art, as well as bars and restaurant for any taste
The entire area is located in very good condition and is very clean. The general atmosphere is very pleasant and quiet despite many families. You feel fast home and subject to no dress code.
Unfortunately the Kullinarik very to desire. There is a menu, the much promised, however the least of which is feasible. The as a part of the half ... board offered 3-course menu ( there are stetst two main meal choice) must be authentic be ordered the night before and is in no shape ( for example side dishes change etc.) amendable. The card specified drinks are not always available.
Taking the price into account the basic plumbing behind it for -proportion but very good.
It is a shame however, that the towels, the without exception already extremely are somewhat older ( with holes or torn edges), only on verbal request changed, in comparison to bed sheets, the every day was fresh. read more

Simple hotel complex on the Pebble beach. Swimming in the very clean sea was the highlight of the week. The apartment we share with ants, Mosquitoes and other Kleintierchen. Russian guests ( mostly families with children) in the plural. Breakfast modest, always the same (better 'without' book). Laundry: this frayed and bad smelling Frottétücher were only once changed. Staff friendly, family not really. read more

The hotel area was appealing, well protected opposite the lively main street, the 'studio' spacious with large balcony, and clean. The beach is not suitable for small children (!), partly gravel, partly cliff ledges steep sloping into the ocean, during my stay strong waves. The food( half board) was a tragedy and should be avoided. After cancellation of the' dinner' on the fourth the food was found gross to date no choice Refund ready. In the surroundings there are plenty of restaurants of reasonably priced to luxurious and shops for self-catering. Recommendation partly partly! read more

For us it was 15 wonderful days. The german speaking owner and the receptionists were always friendly and helpful. During dinner there is the choice of 2 set menus. The near Rethymnon (about 6 kilometer ) was very pleasant(half-hourly bus connection with buying at the front desk) the greek night on friday before departure made the departure from always friendly staff very hard. read more

I was after 2010 and 2011 with family in the hotel. The beach directly in front of the pool and of the pool bar. Ideal for kids or for relaxation with a view of the sea. Turtles lay every year their eggs here and hatch in august. Peace, excursions and action, everything possible. The owner is always on site, spoke german and pay attention to everything!
Tourists from all over Europa including greeks!

It is a beautiful and well-kept complex with a direct access at the sea. Food was however more or less the same and the quality of the food was adequate. The pool was very clear and well maintained, with good view of the sea. Wi-fi it had none, however an internet-computer in the lobby. read more

In principle one nice hotel, unfortunately but already getting a bit old and run-down.
With the cleanliness ( bathroom!) it was not so exactly taken.
Definitely not half board book! The taverns in the area leaves nothing to be desired and the dinner is loud statements other guests miserable at the breakfast you should not have huge expectations posts, is however acceptable.
For a last-minute bargain with not too high expectations but in any case okay, since ideal starting point for various excursions. read more

So for the planned extension of the summer without too much demands for the hotel with the exception of location, furnishings and cleanliness ( the everything was exemplary and great) - highly recommended. We had booked bed and breakfast - breakfast which one could forget save especially in the immediate vicinity various options, other than this it had our studio with fully-equipped kitchens As mentioned above - location and layout of the complex although we really liked the beach (3 flights of stairs from the pool!!! ) Truly leaves a lot to be desired - mag but is also located ... at the time, perhaps had no one felt responsible for so Few minutes walk up or down found you out to be a sometimes, at the first you not all the dirt of generations of Dreckschweintouristen had to remove Apart from that you are well-advised to hire a car to explore the island anyway - which we had. Since then also far had a better beaches and possibilities, the kitchen of the island. All in all but - as described - a excellent "Homebase" with good price - performance ratio. This impression could not spoil what also the fact that on our arrival to the door to ( only sporadically -hour front desk, a envelope with our name with Tixo was fixed, that we have found the key We found the actually retrospectively more fun and easy going! read more

This was our first stay in Crete and it was fabulous! The Galeana Mare was an awesome place to stay. It is run by a really nice family and they are very accommodating. The rooms are like one bedroom apartments complete with small refrigerator, sink, cable television, air conditioning, patio with table and chairs. The couch in the living room was actually a double day bed so two more people could have stayed. There is an awesome sea breeze that comes in the room because you are litterally a few feet from the water. The beach there was great! Nice ... sand, chairs and umbrellas. There are chairs and umbrellas at the wonderful pool too, if you prefer to not have any waves from the sea. The breakfast each morning was nice and you could have lunch there too if you wanted. The location was perfect, right near shopping, tavernas, a grocery store, the bus stop, a car rental place, a tour place, etc. This town is one hour from Iraklion and one hour from Chania, so you are right in the middle of everything. Rethymon has a great "old town" just like Chania, and they were both great to visit. Iraklion has the Palace of Knossos which is another must see.
This hotel was a great deal for the price. A great sun and sand escape. We did not want to go home! And if this one is booked up, you can stay at their other hotel, the Galeana. We toured this one while we were there and it was very nice too. It has a slightly longer walk from your door to the beach, but you walk by wonderful plants and flowers along the way and the breakfast/lunch building is blue and white - just like Santorini. Staying at either of these properties would be an excellent choice!
The guests are international, some German, Greek, English, American, etc. They were of all ages. You will feel very comfortable here!
There is internet in the main building lobby too. Many languages are spoken by the family who own and run the hotel. read more

The area was very beautifully planted and the staff very helpful. Well, that was a refrigerator and dishes; otherwise the furnishings were rather simple. We often had problems with the air conditioning, the only after three days later were. The food you could choose between two dishes, which repeated after a week. read more
