Great location, hotel with lots of character archived

Located in the middle of the action, overlooking the market square. Many shops and restaurants nearby, and a short walk form the train station. Bern is generally a very walkable city that's just oozing history, and this building is no different. read more

Room too expensive. 145 (per night)-, location very loud. In the morning starting from 05,00 o'clock no sleep possible. Breakfast was a disaster also service. Everything from the can and the package. Almost no place to sit. read more

The Hotel is perfectly located a two min walk from the railway station, and right in the heart of this quaint old city with lovely walks all around. Ample shopping all around, and lots of life around you in the square. Avoid the rooms facing the square, and ask for a quieter room facing the back if you are easily disturbed from your sleep. A bonus was free internet on offer across the street for all 24hrs. Our room was functional, well kept during our stay and we would certainly stay here again if visiting Berne. read more

For a few points of no rating, because the Hotel only offers a bed and breakfast. The breakfast buffet was (considering the price) below average.
The hotel is in a different building (2) for 'the corner' built and quite well arranged.
The carpeting in the hallways was very worn, the room obviously taken.
The bird has the bathroom-a wet cell plastic (in old buildings Okay), the neither the was cleaned on margins. Dust (and other) average was almost two centimeter high!
I am now more than 190 centimeter long-that is why I am also of projections, edges and the like. ...
The toilet looked like ten years not cleaned-see photos-that is to say very visible and other deposits.
The complaint was the next morning the front desk-but a feedback. Non-Existent.
In my opinion, this is not a calling card for a hotel in a capital city-in the city center.
The price of CHF 145, -for an overnight stay-good, it was the last of my side. read more
