A very hospitable house with remarkable friendly management and staff, clean, well maintained and inviting! The breakfast buffet is appealing and plentiful, the menus in the evening were varied, g'schmackig and very nice arranged. Also the two bars in the house offer pleasant evening entertainment! Not a 4 star hotel ; the breakfast buffet was unlovingly presented, as the salad buffet, with little choice; the dinner did not correspond to the offer in relation to three selection of our main course (meat, fish, vegetarian)
The furniture in the room was old, partly thrown together (different chairs, no desk ), the bathroom was relatively newly decorated, however only bathtub, shower was not possible, because of the slanting roof.
The wellness area is in comparison to other hotels this class too small.
All in all, a longer holiday i would not recommend. read more

We have the hotel for two nights with a coupon for allegedly 56% concessionary booked. As advertised 3 days active relaxation for two with breakfast and wellness in the 4 star hotel.
The booking was tedious. Admittedly we were with the booking is a bit late, as the coupon for the first kontaktversuch already only a month was valid. However you should a hotel already expected, that you're not a full week needed to find out, that the hotel the whole of the next month has closed. This was not on the homepage (all dates on the booking as available ... appropriate) obvious, still we could call or email someone reach. A call to the local tourist board, the desired information. Positive credit is however, that the coupon, then at least for a month has been extended.
A reason for the purchase of the voucher were definitely the 4 stars. At the front desk, at the bar and in the restaurant one believes the 4-star was still, however, if you into the room is, thinks one in a basic pension to be. The furniture are old and worn, the carpet dirty and the bathroom clean but also not the newest. In the room there was an ancient, tiny fridge unfortunately, there was no coffee machine or kettle for hot water in the thermos. On demand near the front desk we were a scarce half liter hot water in the thermos filled and us, as we when checking out noticed, also 2.50 for all nights will be charged.
The weekend should be a relaxing weekend with skiing and wellness will, but already on the first night sleeping was until late in the night little relaxing, as in the basement the abtenauers apparently dorfdisco is. On demand, if it in the next night as loud going to be, we were confirmed this and another rooms in the newer building were offered. It was quiet at night and the room was in far better condition.
In the early we got to us on the ' rich, vitaminreiche breakfast buffet ' (according the homepage) looking forward to it. There was a buffet, but so rich it was not and the vitamins you could the orange juice suspect. There was no single piece of fruit or vegetables. As i present a diet without gluten, milk and egg make must, i at least on the fruit hoped and found this buffet in the end except jam and honey nothing, i food. On demand i got a fruit plate with filetierten /husked fruit the really was very good. read more

Very friendly friendly and accommodating staff, the food in the restaurant is really excellent, only the room fit in not at all for external appearance: age stained carpet, old, not more contemporary furnishings with signs of wear, damage in the bathroom (timber cladding chipped, tiles cracked). Furthermore was our room above the bar, which is open until late evenings for a very long time and loud music plays. I think it was definitely not the 'model room', which we have received and there are certainly more beautiful room there. For the price reasonable and clean, but with a star hotel ... you, what the atmosphere regards, but a little other idea of a room. In short: hotel, staff, restaurant: great - room unfortunately flop. read more

The hotel we would in no case further-recommend, since it can't handle 4 star is. These expectations fulfilled it absolutely not. The reception in the 'newly created' front desk is a on a lot good hope, but the relation the room is then for a four-star hotel rather a slap in the face. Feeling is in a guest house. Our room was with extremely old furniture, very small, carpet. The small selection of à la carte menu is not satisfactory and the value for money completely out of the ordinary (Beef Tartar as a starter 14,50 Euro) or menu ... itself 24 €, if you however the main course change would, then for a 'small' extra charge of on average 15 €possible: for example from Wollschwein on Riesengarnele (whereby then the same court on an outside at the house-mounted card just in total 19 €costs). Once and never again was our summary - recommend in not any case! read more

Likeable and nice Alpenhotel centrally located in abtenau. The choice of food isn't very large, however therefor offers the kitchen very nice and modern dishes, the quality a gourmets have. I prefer such a philosophy before: small menu but excellent food. read more

Over Groupon I have a coupon for this hotel bought for a wellness vacation with my mother to make. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We could indeed various rooms look at us and then choose one of them, but the question of a larger tv- device we were laughed at and pointed out, that we do not end up to tv look were there. In the evening we were then in the restaurant eat. The dishes were good, but not in proportion to the price. At the next morning we had no warm water and for breakfast we found out ..., that scrambled egg or an omelet extra cost.
We are on the same day still left and we prefer at home cozy! read more

We had us for a extended weekend in a four star hotel looking forward to it, but were very disappointed.
US assigned room was definitely not worth 4 stars, but straight times 2 stars - run-down and dirty. Paper cups to teeth deseams, mini -TV, scraped off furniture-purely nothing at all was 4 star is.
After we had complained, we got a different room. That was much better and no comparison with the first, I think solid three stars level. The service was acceptable, but certainly still no 4-star standard.
Breakfast was also very modest. Little choice, first on demand ... were empty platters refilled. Too few cutlery, mini muesli-Bowls, unfriendly staff etc.
Front desk and bar were reasonable the ambience, but altogether a letdown and absolutely not recommendable. Would like to know, as this house to 4 stars! read more

We had booked a special offer with half board and various tools.
From the inkludierteen and before confirmed tools we could ultimately only got half.
So was the rent an e-bikes for 2 days confirmed, get we could the bike only one day, the second day was allegedly written off.
Otherwise per night and person free cocktail confirmed, we got only per night and room a cocktail.
The inkludiertee backpack turned only as a loan out.
On our complaints back we got as only compensation per person 1 glass of (1/8 liter) wine. read more

We spend three carefree nights in the hotel. The staff, as well as the boss himself was really very pleasant and accommodating. A nice bar is the hotel directly attached. Only drawback which we had were the beds. The mattresses were finished. However apart from that the hotel can be in any case recommend. read more

The hotel is somewhat older though, however completely renovated. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The eating area is correctly urig comfortable with a lot of wood and also very clean. We had the half board ( breakfast buffet and 4-course dinner). The breakfast buffet was very diverse with fresh products. The 4-course -evening menu was just brilliant. There is plenty of choice. The bar of the hotel is completely new and really very nice. There is a massive choice at cocktails and also an extensive wine menu. The prices are reasonable. We were thrilled. read more

Wonderful hotel for a hiking and/or relaxing vacation, very many possibilities for recreation nearby and Gästekarten -offer. E-bike -rental and beautiful wellness area directly at the hotel. Was already to 2. and definitely not for the last time there.
I had rarely seen such friendly and accommodating staff experienced. The hotel is run with love, it shows especially also many details. You should for example take a tour the building and the features look at-)
The dinner (4 to 7-course menu) was very delicious, fresh and imaginative, however not suitable for people, which only aims to overfilled plates, no ... matter what quality goes. I don't eat and also plentiful and was every time good full. Also the breakfast buffet hardly a wish goes unfulfilled.
The hotel is very central in the center with a wonderful view of the mountains. If you quiet like, should the said, because there are also those room.
The only fault for me as a non-smoker the bar was next to the entrance area, in the often strongly was smoking, so that you in the corridor to 2nd floor could not smell.
In any case true the value for money and I am now already looking forward to my next stay there. read more
