Totally enjoyed our stay at the hotel!! Missed normal clothing and shoeshops etc. in Wagrain. Is not so fond of touristshops. But bakery - excellent - and foodshops ok. Wasserwelt was not so impressive/not so big - but ok. A minor thing: the hotel had old christmas decorations in the dining room in march? read more

Much better than expected! One of the most friendly hotels we stayed at. Some noise from the traffic outside was probably the only negative point. Very good food and wine. read more

We can only positive about the hotel reports! The staff, the sen. Chef to the cleaning staff extremly friendly and competent! The dishes from the junior chef prepared are very good ausgewähl very well prepared and adequate! A compliment the waiters the very friendly and accommodating is! We should in future once again skiing vacation plan, we would like to again in this hotel live! read more

Excellent family hotel with a cosy atmosphere. We spent a week during New Year (2012/2013) and the service, meals and rooms were really beyond (our high) expectations. We stayed in the guesthouse which was situated a couple of minutes walk from the main hotel. Excellent breakfast was served in the guesthouse and the delicious five course dinner was served at the hotel's dining room. The Wagrain/Flachau ski area is easy accessible via free ski busses running every ten to fifteen minutes all day long. Both the hotel and ski area are very well suited for a family with children of ... all ages. The hotel is run by the Beer family and they really make the stay into a memorable experience. We highly recommend this hotel and a visit in Wagrain and we are looking forward to coming back. read more

The hotel is located in the center Wagrain. Ski bus stops on the doorstep at. Shop and rental skis the hotel opposite. Half board was very good! Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner was perfect! Friendly family and pleasant staff. A remark: if you the windows opens there is noise from the verkeher and passers-by. This applies especially for the price the rooms on the way (front). read more

Hotel Schattauer is one of the best we have stayed at in the Austrian Alps. The family Beer are extremely friendly and the evening meals are fantastic. I could not find any faults at all with this hotel and I will definitely stay there again. read more

Very pleasant informal atmosphere, we almost as with friends felt. The hungarian service-girls szanet and Doris are very heart. Also the family B. is always work hard to fulfill all wishes, whether child-fair meal or advice on day trips. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is in a very tidy state. Very pleasant is the lift in the hotel, with the 3 floors and basement in any case reachable are. There are at the hotel also enough parking spaces. With the half-board was a breakfast buffet ( very good quality, but every day similar) and a dinner with ... salad buffet and choice of the menus for everyone. You could choose between 2 main courses select, mostly meat or fish. The soup and the dessert were the same. The presentation of the food, but as with the master chefs, very exclusive. The hotel guests were israelis, English, German and austrians together. It were many families with children different ages. read more

    We had a spacious 3 bedroom on the 3rd floor with a balcony. Unfortunately without mini bar respectively fridge. It were hair dryer, tv and radio available. The furniture was good and relatively new.

    There was a large dining room and a small living room. In both rooms was, depending on the guests for breakfast and dinner. Furthermore there was a public restaurant, the however only sunday to the church of some friendly regular guests was visited. The dishes were qualitatively very high-quality. The breakfast buffet was sufficient stocked but not very varied. The same for the salad buffet. The main course could for children from a kindermenükarte be selected on the 5 different dishes to the selection there was. We felt very good for the food, it was reacted immediately with special wishes or with a maleur at the table with children.

    The hotel staff members were, from the chef to the cleaning maid, all very friendly. The room was very discreet and lovingly every morning tidy. The children could even more often with the chef or the service-girls in the kitchen look and a sucker get :-)

    The pool of the hotel is a little behind in the guest house, one must unfortunately at the busy street along walk and after a couple of minutes reached. The pool area is small but very well-kept and offers loungers, sun screens, a toilet and a umkeideraum. For children there is in the hotel's cellar still a new games room. Unfortunately is right on the hotel no garden or playground.

With the half-board was a breakfast buffet ( very good quality, but every day similar) and a dinner with salad buffet and choice of the menus for everyone. You could choose between 2 main courses select, mostly meat or fish. The soup and the dessert were the same. The presentation of the food, but as with the master chefs, very exclusive. The hotel guests were israelis, English, German and austrians together. It were many families with children different ages.

    The hotel is in the lower town center from Wagrain. 2 minutes away from the market square, it unfortunately only once a week a folklore evening returns. In immediate proximity there is a Billa supermarket and in the rest of the town still 2 spar supermarkets. To the funicular railways flying Mozart, the grafenbergbahn and it is a circa 15 one minute hike. All other funicular railways are only by car or bus reachable. The next larger city is st. Johann in pongau, but not for shopping is suitable. You should better still Salzburg drive.

We felt in the hotel Schattauer completely felt really good. Especially the very good and friendly service and the attentive staff we found very pleasant. Wagrain is definitely worth a trip. read more

In spite of the 4 stars, very easy going run, am more like in a small guest house happened. The rooms are super big and beautiful and we even had a bath tub ( we had the family room) And my personal highlight the food was. Really tasty! The downside I give only for the bed, the mattress I was way too soft ( worn out?). But a positive close to: really recommendable read more
