This hotel deserves its 5 * without 'ifs and buts'. It is already getting old and at the one or another body lacks color or the furnishing is no more 'up to date'. But everything is clean and of good quality. The service and the kindness of the staff is really perfect.
Would definitely again check-in there. read more

A hotel, that in its size never a feeling the mass processing leaves. There were daily conventions, nevertheless the staff is trimmed on personal friendly care. Excellent the 5 o'clock tea in the lobby, the breakfast buffet and the restaurant at all. The zimmerelektronik on a panel was not ideal, because susceptible to breakdown, but the services was immediately on the spot. For tourists we have the shuttle bus to the center missed, as well as somewhat more detailed information, for example to istanbulcard. Ideal would be, you could this in the hotel relate. The information, that the translation nearby ... is suggests, that the concierge never there walking. Furthermore is the consultation rather a fortune, if you just returned on duty. A concept did not recognize. Surprising with the wonderful panoramaliftfahrt and never seen, but when especially good experienced detail, -the einmalgebrauchs -toilet brush. Last but not least to mention the best empfangsconciere, the for us set in has, when the private airport shuttle left. read more

Hotel staff is efficient, very friendly and helpful. The concierge's recommendations on best hamman in town were spot on, similar to his restaurant tips. The hotel was full during our stay, but the ambiance and service levels did not deteriorate at all. Bordered on the river, the views are spectacular. We will definitely stay here again on a next visit. read more

The hotel overwhelmed already when entering the lobby with a fabulous view of the Bosphorus. Large entrance hall with large glass and inviting places to sit. Large and bright rooms with all comfort a 5 star hotel. You can even pillows after choice delivered to your room. The swissotel is one of the ' leading hotels of the world' belong and it is accordingly also at. Only one negative and already often mentions is the location. To next tram stop is good and happy 15 minutes on foot, and the footpath the Taksim is not less, but this by ugly ... Suburbs and bad passierbare pavements leads. Also one finds in the immediate vicinity no options for shopping. Despite all a recommendable hotel! read more

This hotel, with a magnificent view of the Bosphorus, offers everything you need for a clean stay. You could enjoy wonderful. The hotel is located on a steep slope, consists of an East and West tower with 16 floors. At the top of the West tower is a bar with a fantastic view of the city and the Bosphorus. Otherwise, the hotel is 600 beds, due to its hillside location somewhat confusing: our room was in the 5 ten floor three floors above the pool but one floor below the lobby. Although it was a Swiss hotel, the staff spoke ... almost exclusively in English, which is often difficult Asia sturdy staff to understand. A problem in the rooms available at the desk. Whenever you turned the air conditioning down, the light shone on, which was a bit annoying was. The double bed had only one, although large, down duvet. All in all, seemed like the hotel manager and ancient for participants to be suitable. read more

We spent three wonderful days at the swissotel in Istanbul. The staff is very friendly and tried hard. Without, that we had done it before (Executive business rooms booked last minute on booking. com), could we the fantastic with view over the Bosphorus, the lounge. There was a breakfast and all day snacks and drinks. Since we have, of course, to explore the City wanted we had only used this privilege in the evening-a wonderful retreat after a busy day. We also found to lack of time unfortunately no opportunity, the great Spa and the beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Maybe ... next time. The rooms were very spacious and with a unique view (on the Windows a divan-lovely!) on the Bosphorus and hagia Sofia. The only drawback was the US after three days no consistent decline central operation of the light and the air conditioning. (We were but very detail, perhaps we were not very receptive upon arrival at three o'clock in the morning. But at least the bedside lamp should be switched on separately from each bed.
The concierge desk in the business lounge provide us with great tips about the city and advised us, after a small walk to convience tram river in the old town. We would definitely recommend this for a bit real Istanbul to socialise and given the infinity traffic jams, from the hotel prima watch. read more

The hotel is one of the "Leading Hotels of the World", is not necessarily very appealing from the outside, but inside it is a highlight! The very large lobby with panoramic views of the Bosphorus is great. Everything top clean and neat, staff very friendly and helpful. Safety is the guiding principle, for example, every car that drives onto the courtyard, is illuminated from underneath.
Internet costs 19 euros per day - far too expensive! read more

A wonderful hotel in the heart of in Istanbul close to the ferries over the Bosphorus. To all attractions either by taxi, the wait in front of the hotel or a walk toward the sea to enter, directly past the stadium Beşiktaş Istanbul and mounts a ferry, or a public transport. Peaceful location with a beautiful pool area, but the every need is met. This is the perfect blend of culture and relaxation. It awaits you: super friendly staff; an amazing roof terrace with a beautiful view over the Bosphorus, with restaurant and bar; a poolside restaurant with garden, clean ... and lovingly well maintained rooms as well. read more

CARSTEN
recognised in front of me the wesentlicehn things very well described,
(I hate so repetitions.)
So I only supplement like to make a few brief comments:
The all-singing, all-dancing to flashy swissotel with gigantic lobby and lots of expensive jewelry shops from the beginning of the 90 Ger years has recently been under the Austrian management and there is obviously a lot to do ☺
The so-called 'rack rate' (!) of 800 Euro per room (whether single or double occupancy) No one pays more:
The reference can be removed from the closet carefully ☺
The room decor is ... luxurious but slightly dated, -is the wellness area including a huge indoor swimming pool (allegedly) the best of Istanbul. I also think. i was in it!
But:
Who needs nowadays in Istanbul so much Wellness?
The ladies at the business men, who always were underway and some meetings and are therefore not in town like?
(We wanted to explore the city and its beauties & attractions)
The Location
the hotel is gorgeous, if you're going to the view from the rooms Windows or on the breakfast terrace view.
This room windows are Gaubenform (triangular) and in most of the rooms have a view on the Bosphorus.
The prices for the mini bar and so on including the prices for the drinks on the wonderful terrace in the 16. Floor with a fantastic view over Istanbul and the Bosporus are not suitable for people, those from the taxed money want to have to pay /:
A beer, about 0.3 liter = 15 lira = about eight currently euro ☹
The hotel is from the time, where economic crisis was not discussed and that you somehow quite clear.
The garden with the Swiss 'chalet ' at the slope is large and impressive.
The breakfast buffet is a dream & extremely wide.
But unfortunately only until 10,3 o clock ☹
Who is 10,28, rebuked by ☹
Around 10,4 O will be cleared in an indecent hurry!
A shame for a five-star superior hotel from the good old days!
But it is precisely with its numerous meeting rooms for business at the time planned and for hotel innocent tourists, visit the Istanbul, aporematisch.
Conclusion:
if a value of less than EUR 325 can get (breakfast included understands) should worry stay here. otherwise it is in Istanbul (Taksim or Pera) plentiful operational native. read more

By. 30,04-02 May 2010 I was at the swissotel the Bosphorus to guest and I felt very comfortable there from the start.
The outdoor area looks very smart. After the revolving door in the entrance hall, its just to see, how great this hotel.
The room was very large, very clean and tidy and the bathroom was very well maintained.
The view of the hotel is beautiful, as it with a direct view of the Bosphorus (as the name suggests) was built and the panorama Windows system contributed to it.
The garden area was very nicely arranged and the ... pool area was well arranged, but most of all, clean.
I would not hesitate to go there again. read more

I also we can only and supplements fully equipped, particularly the contribution of Carsten just, what I want to describe in detail.
Only so much:
At check-in there was a problem with our credit card (with the problem was rather in technology there). There was, however very very patient with us. As compensation we were given a very nice room and a small vase of fresh flowers on this. All special requests were immediately fulfilled.
The breakfast was great. Rich, high-quality selection with daily changing Turkish delicacies. Fast Service! Apparently in comparison to other guests were we pointed out, that ... the freshly squeezed pomegranate juice at extra cost.
The room staff was waiting in the morning in the hallway on the guests, for breakfast. You can't leave the room, was started cleaning up. Everything was reliable refilled: the mineral water, the NESPRESSO capsules (of course included in the price), inter alia, in the afternoon they offered us ice for the mini bar. Also at night stay our beds/replace the towels, new bottled water, turndown, and so on.
The sauna area is modern, clean and inviting, however both male and female separately.
Another tip: we had long wrestled with us (because of the price) and then we for a corner room with Bosphorus view. You can only recommend to everyone. A fantastic view! Nice spacious room. Furthermore, we had than rate for the Swiss-business deal. For everyone including: first access to the Executive lounge in the 17. Floor (cookies, chocolates and evening cocktails inclusive-No Minibar!). second daily cleaning of two garments, which also excellent worked.
Moot point of the hotel: zero German skills of the staff, what you want from a hotel under private English speaking drivers not expected.
Conclusion: we felt very Penny and any after cried. read more

The location of the hotel is very nice. On a hill vis-a-vis the Dolmabahce Palace. It is a very large, green grounds. From the outside this hotel looks like a typical glass-enclosed office building. Very sterile. And before the check-in desk to check-in is achieved first is the taxi at the barrier have undergone a tsa securlty lines: mirror under the car, then first concerns trunk open up the barrier and the Sicherheitspoller down. That all seemed a bit disconcerting. Guests must and after the revolving door through the Metallscanner. And then we read you in a very large open ... light-filled lobby. The rooms are modern and bright. Everything was very clean. Light, air conditioning and "Do not disturb" as well as "make the room" will have an central Masterpanel regulated. Unfortunately there is no information at the check-in or description in the rest. So, learning by doing! We had breakfast in the price. Was very rich. The service however there is lot. But more about that later. The guests during our visit come from all parts of the world. Very international. read more
