We were 1 night the Queen Mary and it really pleased us. We felt back to the old days. You can almost the whole ship explore and evenings comfortable sit outside and on the decks or. The museum, the engine room and above all the original propeller have fascinated.
The food was a bit more expensive than outside, but you can find in any case which, to a price, the one is ready pay. We have a salad with slices of turkey eaten, the really great was.
Around Los Angeles to explore it is however to outside.
We find you ... have to in any case time! read more

Quite right, how many aoapos*aposao this hotel(-ship) from which review Portal also always get. It is really recommendable, the atmosphere in this nostalgic 'luxury liner' to be able to enjoy. Also still evenings a wonderful view of long beach. Enjoyment this simple!
Allow you a stay in the best possible Kabinenklasse, it is a really enormous difference to the 'routine' the other American hotels! We were in any case absolutely loved it!
The cabins are naturally somewhat small, as it in this price range usually there is. But: this' hotel' itself is the scoop! read more

The Queen Mary would always book again, since the location is unique, sleeps like in a museum. You can on the ship much reputation and the evening sun on the Aussichtsdeck in comfortable Sophisticated outdoor terrace. The rooms ( we had an external room with portholes) were very big, clean and had musealisches flair. By car one is about minutes ( a free shuttle bus the ship is also ) in a very nice town center from lon beach. We explored from there also Los Angeles, the highway 710 leads directly to Los Angeles in the universal studios and back ... to the airport. Great! And wholeheartedly the cheap! read more

The Queen Mary is an old luxury Liner, that to the hotel converted is. It dates from year 1936 and is accordingly old. It was however with the current expectations at comforts, in other words air conditioning in the cabins, flat screen TV etc.
We had a deluxe room, the cabin was a former first-class cabin, therefore spacious and noble. The ship is very impressive. And the nights are various guided tours on the ship. If you're staying in on a landmark and experience the story accordingly up close. For us an unforgettable experience!
Tip: if you at the weekend ... on the Queen Mary is definitely the champagne Sunday brunch book! This consists of a massive buffet with over 50 hot and cold dishes from various countries in the former first-class dining. The dishes were varied and very good quality, prepared with love. The buffet is beautifully arranged and accompanied the brunch from a Harfenspielerin. The champagne is so often one wanted refilled and the drinks are in the price from 49 American Dollar per person included. The price is completely adequate for the, what you for the money get. read more

The hotel is unique-and huge.
Our cabin was very big and the bed also. We slept very well.
The parking costs however 15 American Dollar the night and you have little choice as to parking.
However is the staff are very friendly.
Breakfast it does not include, however there is a café, in which you café and bit can buy. read more

It is simply a special night on the old liner to spend. The cabins (room) are large, also for today's cruise conditions. You can wander around on the ship, photographs and mental at the time, the Queen Mary was still at sea. The bridge and the Captain cabin in the museum to see. We visited only a bar. The service was America atypical not very good. The breakfast was okay-nothing more. But the long hallways and the various decks to visit, it was worth it. Bathrooms are still some old fixtures, as well as the old fans and air conditioning ... on. You may require a deposit of a hundred dollars, the back (due to possible damage). Long beach was a no-go area-there is nothing more to be felt. Right on the vessel is nothing, you can visit, but long beach itself has a nice Marina and a pier with giant Ferris wheel, restaurants and everything that belonged to it. read more

The queen Mary is old... And it shows you also. Clearly, the ambience is fantastic, the former cruise ship is more than worth seeing (especially the audiotour over the whole ship inclusive machinery space and bridge) the night but you have (the construction of the dampfers payable) also luxury and convenience do. Despite the stay was in de queen Mary an excellent end our west coast trip. read more

In the rebuilding the Queen Mary hotel for a fixed fee was taken to maintain the charm of the old time. This is very well done. The rooms are the former first class Außenkabinen sometimes still with however stocked. The bathroom is certainly not to today's standards, but somehow adds to the nostalgia. There are several restaurants and a bar. Very interesting is the exhibition, in the lower part of the ship. Necessarily the many intricate course by the machinery spaces. You will be able to see at the end of Propeller in the water. With a plan may you ... a self-guided tour of the whole ship. read more

Those with a nostalgic Flair of a historic luxury cruise ship and its like history or want to explore on the Queen Mary its fun and a nice and interesting stay. We had a State-room to the harbor with 2 bathrooms, a double room and an extra room with couch. The decor is old, but well maintained - this is precisely how the charm of the ship from. In the night is the self-guided tour of Qm included for 2 persons, almost as much as the cost half night. Several restaurants are on the ship, otherwise it's best with a ... rental car to Long Beach. For a one or two night stay we can recommend to anyone the Queen Mary, the pleasure from the nostalgic charm of old. If you're looking for modern luxury here certainly rather not happy. The deluxe rooms could possibly be still one alternative - this but we didn't see and can therefore not rate. The rating to shopping, restaurants and facilities to walk the immediate surroundings of the Queen Mary. also within (by bus or car distance) of course there is plenty of options in Long Beach or Los Angeles and the surrounding area. read more

A hotel of the other kind. The Queen Mary is a very nice but old boat. The monarch first class has been converted to the hotel. The rooms are very spacious with a television. Our bathroom was a bit too small. From the room we had a lovely view of the sea, and Long Beach. On the boat, there is little shops, restaurants, and even a museum. You could also get married on the ship. From Long Beach, it is a long way from Hollywood and Beverly Hills. But if you like the special, the other ride gladly accept a ... bit. We would be happy to stay there again. read more

On the "queen Mary" in Long Beach again: "something else! " If you've ever been to Los Angeles, queen Mary at least seen. It is about 1 1/2 hour recharge ones batteries at motorway journey from the center. To stay is were a nice change, this hotel is quite a different as the "normal" Especially with children, it is a great thing, this is not such a stiff shop and you can move freely and the large ship from top to bottom visit. The condition of the room are around the age of the ship, but somehow it works everything ... (a bit musty, worn, dark). A longer period, but I would not recommend three to four nights are absolutely ok. Right around the boat, there is actually very little or nothing a car is highly recommended. Across the street from the ship, via Queens Way Bridge in about five minutes away, is the Shoreline Village and the aquarium of the Pacific. There you will find to mall about restaurants everything you expect in the United States. Long Beach is good for the attractions in the surrounding area (Anaheim, Huntington). My personal restaurant tip in the company with children: The "Ruby's diner" at the end of the pier in Seal Beach (approx. 15 Minutes drive to the south). Super tasty burgers, served by attractive girls in the 60s look to absolutely acceptable prices and if it fits, a great sunset. waits were almost obligatory. read more

The "queen Mary" hotel in Long Beach is a very special place, you feel by many years ago as you enter! The former ship is now converted to a hotel and located near Los Angeles. After a cruise from "Carnival" here as the terminal Carnival was right next to the normal beach. Otherwise I would not want to stay as it a bit badly is off the beaten track. Long Beach is within walking distance, so that you could not not something to eat quickly. The hotel itself is in very good condition, the staff were very friendly and willing. ... The rooms were big enough, clean and comfortably furnished. If you walk through the halls, you feel the flair of the previous years, it smells like. If you like modern hotels / room is available, you should look for another hotel! Breakfast is available for an on-site restaurant or a coffee shop on the ship available, the variety was average and the taste was nothing special but ok. On the ship itself you could see a lot: There are exhibitions and guided tours - highly recommend it!!! We would stay there again, it's not like that everywhere! read more
