Trudy who I spoke with on the phone was nothing but friendly and helpful HOWEVER, The manager, Dave, was particularly rude and offensive. We had prepaid our room ($200 per night) and asked for two roll away beds which were charged at $30 each per night. Dave rang the morning after our arrival to demand payment, when I asked him to wait until we could talk about the issues with the room before paying anymore money he said "Oh, I know what you are going to do, you are going to get up tomorrow and leave without paying, your going to do a runner." The man had never met me or my family and this was our first conversation! When I became upset by this and explained my concern about paying them more money for a sub-standard room he responded to my complaint about peeling walls by saying "does that really affect your stay?"
I have subsequently seen multiple reviews on web sites such as this one where other guests have been treated badly by this person - beware!!!!
- Sport & Entertainment
Pool surroundings very bland, no garden, basically a concrete square. Pool is not 25m lap pool, more like 16 or 17
- Hotel
Our room was dirty, poorly furnished and had multiple appliances not working. The kettle tripped the power, the dishwasher did not work (on inspection the electrical plug had melted!), the dryer overheated after 15 minutes use. The lounge had multiple holes in the fabric. There were food particles on the crockery. Hair in the bathroom. YUCK!!!!
- Location
Close to the beach and reasonable view, but also very noisy as it is located above a five road intersection.
