We were 4 days guests in the Mara-bush camp. Like the name already says, was this camp in the middle of the bush and the arrival was quite long. But it was worth it! For a camp it was first-class. We can The entire team only praise. We didn't miss anything. It was a magnificent vacation without quäkende entertainers, pushy sunglasses salesmen, loud music and terrible neon sign read more

The Mara bush camp is unique, far away from tourism, very close to nature and nevertheless well maintained and luxurious. It is located in the heart of the wilderness, between animals and feels safe and protected. Here one spends a bit other vacation, without swimming and sunning. When you came here, you experience the wildlife, like no other zoo mediate. Thousands of animals, noise, smells and adventure await you here. With the Jeep it is twice a day on safari. Every time see and experience something else. Simply fantastic. read more

There is a restaurant and a good bar. the food is amazing. Every evening the chef and the guests after your satisfaction. A problem longer stay if you are like me on vacation 3 kilograms will only increase. This is the good food difficult.

  • Service

the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The camp manager is German and there is therefore no language problems. The whole service staff in other words perfect English. the doctor is not far away, but it not used. there is a small convenient laundry room. to deal with complaints I can't say much about them since it even for a critical guest like me not complaints was. There were all wishes immediately fulfilled.

sometimes there is a dance performance the opinion from the village. there is no disco and no pool. I did not missed. access to the internet you have to bring your own. Buying a SIM card at the airport is cheap. The camp is telephone front desk and Internet access. Sometimes even 3G-front desk.

The camp is located in the heart of the Masai Mara and is not fenced. We have that as pleasant found. We had never the feeling to be under threat as we always after nightfall friendly Masais were accompanied. They are still traditionally armed. there is a small shop where we also a jacket bought have. At the airport in Nairobi, I saw the same jacket more expensive. daily trips in the area belong in this camp for a good tone and therefore we have been there.

The Mara Bush camp is quaint and centrally located in a river loop in the middle of a scrub island in the Maasai Mara. It was more, there are only 12 tents. The tents for a eco camp maximum comfort, you can sleep wonderful in a large King bed. The lounge and dining areas and tents are very comfortable typical of the country furnished. in the case beautiful weather you sit to eat under open Heaven on the river, in the evening afterwards around the campfire. Large tents, a wonderful bed, very well maintained shower and toilet so comfortable, as you can imagine a camp tent.

  • Gastronomy
    6.0

the food is lunch as evenings excellent. The choice is not huge but absolutely sufficient and everything (really: everything) was delicious (and we are spoiled!). Usually the food was more international kitchen, sometimes with Indian twist, once again it was with typically Kenyan courts. Breakfast we always had a picnic with, the left nothing to be desired.

  • Service
    6.0

The shower will be prepared on the basis of, in the morning you will be rewarded with a tray coffee, tea and pastry woken at the tent. In the dark with a Masai-warrior with a spear, in case the Hippo's, the river people, a small walk through the camp should do. the staff are carefully chosen and trained very obviously, unbelievably friendly and hard-working. Most of the Kenyan speak very good English and all of them try to pathetic to a few Breaking German. Sabine, the German director of the camps, is a little gem and read of the eyes (love Sabine, many thanks again for the choices!).

The tent with a double and additional single bed were very nice furnished logically without air conditioning. One has enough room itself within to move. Everything made a very clean, comfortable impression. Only completely really small negative was the very scant light at night. But since one anyway so broken into bed falls, plays no role.

  • Gastronomy

We all have think each meal very enjoyed. From the cookies almost already in the middle at night, on our breakfast outside in the Masai Mara, the buffet-lunch with fruit salad and salads as well as the hot soup for Znacht and fine varied live Cookings in Wook so all 2a 3 days evenings were very pleasurable. Tips and prices I think very moderate.

  • Service

Here, I can absolutely nothing remotely not entirely positive say: all extremely friendly, even German was attempted to speak, the tents always tiptop clean, clothes well cleaned return receive. The dealing with complaints I cannot judge -there was no cause to do so.

the location located in the Masai Mara is perfect, quickly with the cars to the numerous animals to arrive. They are really zahlreichst availablein the next Attempt I would probably the flight right until the camp choose, on the airport in direct proximity. Not large offered entertainment in the camp you miss not, because you in the Masai Mara, the entertainment doing, what you really looking for, if one then goes. A gift shop in the camp and offers the Massais offer almost everything, what you to bring home could.

Normally, we are rather skeptical on such good reviews as in the case of the camps. We had a three-day stay now a safari in Kenya were lucky this exception-camp to learn. First: the assessment in this case is fully justified. At the Mara Bush camp is the perfect for an authentic Safarirlebnis camp in Masai Mara was fantastic. 1o great equipped Tents at a flow loop in the middle of the boonies not far away from the MARA river. Surrounded by wild animals, guarded by Masai warriors. Here it is still possible to ' sound of Africa' get. Especially ... at night you can hear the lions roar, dic-dics noisily through the camp and horses through the underbrush break. The ideal starting point for animal sightings, above all, to the great migration. The camp has super friendly and competent staff, even my wife has a food allergy to all possibilities consideration taken. In the evening after the Safari is always a hot shower ready-in the shape of a tub shower. This is perhaps not luxury at, is however completely uncomplicated and you can always water demand ☺ The quality of the service and experience is comparable with a small but very fine Boutique Hotel-just in the middle of the Bush. For all, the A (photo) Safari in the most authentic and nevertheless amazingly luxurious way to experience would like, I can only recommend this camp. People, the rather large all-inclusive holiday area with pool and entertainment options, will not happy-but it's not a safari. read more

Yes! Mara Bush camp-which makes this camp to what it is? The location? The facilities? Everything was perfect and exactly as described many here have! But it is the staff. As you are doing their job. and as they are. They do their job but is there more: it is a guest of the family. Aliya, the camp manager always for the guests present, speak with them, laughs live. The last Prischfahrt: we look forward to a Geparden hunting, the Geparden are time. Aliya dives with a few employees in the Mara Bush camps jeep. You also want to see ... a game? 15 minutes later. We bow our Land Rover around the corner. Is alone on a hill a set table with a 'sundowner' and all the paraphernalia (including dream sunset). Aliya wanted to see not only the Geparden. A touching gesture, the parting still make it more difficult. Peter, the drinks to you at any time of day apparently see our faces. David, the room boy, 'Thank you for the great hot water bottle, the shower, the stream, the organisation.' Joseph, the chef, the owner has even according to our wishes, Sometimes, it is embarrassing to us, to be spoilt for choice. Mike, the accompanying Masai, the US always accompanied the tent has. And were it not for his Nachtdienste lions not only the camp past, but by the camp walked through. Also elephants have tried, but the employees 'sold' And the animals around the camp of course: After the first game drive on the first morning in the Mara Bush camp we had already 'big five' tracked all. Was too beat? Yes! The next day we were allowed to witness the birth of zebras, the next day was a zebra first of a crocodile seriously injured, killed and eaten by lions. And there are still nine exciting day. No day without wild cats, not a day without highlight. Thank you so much for all staff, including those, which will not be mentioned by name! We'll be back! read more

If you stay in the heart of the Masai Mara a family Accommodation without knick-knack such as swimming pool, internet cafe or are looking for evening entertainment, is in the right place Mara Bush camp. A better Accommodation with real African feeling it can hardly any. The staff is super friendly and always helpful, the service excellent and the tents just perfect! The beds are better as in many 5 star hotel and the African sound is set in the night is breathtaking. For us it is clear, if and when I return Masai Mara, then again in the Mara ... A wonderful Camp in the middle of the Mara, closer to the transportation it is no longer. We were greeted very warm welcome from the camp manager. The tents are very spacious, clean and functional. Each tent is taken care of by a tent steward, the bed was every evening with hot water bottles heated up... A dream ☺ The food was very tasty, there was a lack of nothing. The quality of the game were very nice & efficient journeys. Small tip, picnic breakfast in the Mara, instead of in the camp. read more

Unbeatable for game viewing Full board with every comfort possible, exceptional hospitality and service A must for all wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. A typical day Wake from a blissful sleep, drink hot coffee, eat home made cookies, dress in clothes laid out the night before with eyes still shut!. Gather all equipment, binoculars, camera, lenses, water, sweeties, and get escorted from canvas home to jeep by my trusty Maasai morani. Happy good mornings to everyone, pile into vehicles, then off….just as the sun begins to ... rise. Set camera ISO settings high as light still low, and then begin to scan for animal activity. Usually within moments of leaving the camp, we had stopped to photograph or just watch something, a grazing hippo, a sleepy lion or two, a stretching cheetah, ever alert, or some marching groundhogs, tails high patrolling their area. Herds of impala, nervously nibbling the grass, always watchful and alert to danger, their delicate legs glistening with the morning dew. Hours pass by in a blissful and wondrous way, cameras clicking, beanbags being repositioned, eyes watchful, scanning the treetops, branches and bushes for the flick of a tail, the glint of an eye in the sunshine, anything that momentarily gives away the position of a big cat lurking in the shadows. Banter fills the jeep as the morning drifts away and tummies start to rumble. Breakfast, always a welcome intrusion, and a time to meet with others and sometimes listen enviously to what they had seen that you had not! Mostly a time to share together the exciting mornings viewings and expectations of the rest of the day, yet to unfold. Hours of travelling, but never feeling bored with the journey, our trackers and drivers giving delightful commentaries and excellent information about the wildlife, birds, flora and forna that we constantly see. Questions and information shared and experiences traded, we spend happy hours in this Mara Paradise. Lunch comes when we find a suitable time to break and hopefully a suitable tree in the shade with a dry place for a blanket or two. More delicious food, chat and banter, then quickly pack away for more potential viewings. Following three cheetah brothers preparing to hunt, or watching the Paradise Pride of Lions with the young cubs, lazing in the shade, all makes for a wonderful afternoon. Gentle giraffes, nibbling the acacias into perfect shapes against the African sky, eagles and vultures soaring high in the sky, clouds forming the most amazing backdrop for the hugest horizon…. life and time passes by in a happy blur. Excitement at seeing the big cats hunting, the kill, sad, but necessary and fascinating to witness first hand. Life and death all around, some of it recorded for posterity at the click of a Canon! So darkness beings to decend, time to head home, our tented camp hidden discreetly but subtlety beckoning us back to its clutches. Always the warmest welcome back, Nadeem with his handsome smile and gentle laughter wondering how our day out had been, accepting our usual apologies for staying out late and being always last back! Hot water already ready for a quick shower, wonderfully welcome after the days heat and dust, a large gin and tonic even more wonderful than the shower! A quick change into clean clothes, dust off the camera, charge the batteries and lay out clean clothes for next day. Escorted to dinner, table laid perfectly, candles twinkling in the darkness, laughter and chatter from fellow guests surrounds us as does the sound of the African night. Kesawai, beautiful and proud in his Maasai red robes, twinkles as he walks around the dining tent, keeping guard and beaming his wonderful smile. Alex our Chef, standing proud as he announces what’s for dinner that evening. Another G&T follows the first, a perfect way to relax and unwind after another perfect day in the bush. A roaring camp fire on the banks of the river, giving us warmth and gentle light. Stories told and laughed about over dinner, wine shared and photos oohh’d and aaahh’d over, soon its time for bed. Escorted back to our tents, keeping in step with our morani and aware of every rustle and crack in the darkness around us, the hippos honking their goodnights, perhaps the not too distant laugh of a hyenas or the roar of a lion, it’s a beautiful musical lullaby. Tent zippers unzipped, teeth get brushed, clothes get dropped to the floor, blissful sleep beckons in my four poster bed, the white nets draped around me, making me feel like a princess. Sleep is just moments away, soft pillow, warm quilt and a thoughtful hot water bottle to snuggle up to….heaven! This is a typical day ) read more

Our group were all very keen photographers and so we all wanted to maximise our time out on safari, so were out from early morning to late evening on most days. This meant that breakfast and lunch were always picnic style, laid on top of the bonnet of the jeeps for us to feast upon. The chef Alex and his team do an amazing job, often at very short notice when we would decide that we wanted to be out all day, instead of returning back to camp for lunch. Never was it a problem and our breakfasts were delicious, consisting of fresh fruits, delicious juicy pineapples, mangos, oranges, cereals, yogurts, toast, pancakes, bacon, sausages, boiled eggs. Some days we even had lovely freshly baked cakes or brownies added to the feast. Lunches were mainly salads with pastas, beans, fresh vegetables, cooked chicken pieces, fish cakes, freshly baked rolls and pizzas. There were always plenty of fruit juices and of course, tea and coffee available with every meal. Nothing quite compares to the “hunger” you feel when having been up since the crack of dawn, had a quick coffee and biscuit then into the vehicles for 3 hours of game viewing…you then find a suitable place for breakfast. When the breakfast feasts are laid out…it takes moments before all the guests dive in like vultures on a zebra carcass, very quickly stripping it bare of anything edible! Eating “al fresco” in the company of some distant elephants or giraffes is a very memorable and special time. The flavours in the food seem more heightened as is your own awareness of the wildlife and nature surrounding you. After a delicious meal, we, eager to continue our safari would help pack away the plates, Tupperware and blankets and making sure no trace was left of our presence, would continue our trip, hunger long gone! Evening meals were really special, with lots of choice and variety. Generally it would start with some delicious home made soup and freshly baked rolls. Then a meat or pasta dish with fresh vegetables or curry and rices, traditional African feasts, stuffed and rolled beef, stroganoff, creamy chicken, the list was endless and always delicious. The quality of the food was really good, meat was not fatty or tough, chicken was tender and vegetables fresh and perfectly cooked. A new edition was also a “wagon” where Alex would stir fry a selection of ingredients especially to your own order. This was excellent and a new and novel way of dinning at Bush Camp. Alex is an excellent chef, inventive and creative and has the ability to keep food at its best, whatever time we turned up for it. We were not the best timekeepers and were often back late for dinner, unable to drag ourselves away from watching some leopards or lions at sunset… yet he never showed any displeasure or annoyance that his hard work in the kitchen all day would be spoilt. Not only were the main courses delicious, but he also made some fabulous deserts too, my favourites being the brandy snaps filled with fresh cream and strawberries! Not what you might expect to get under canvas, but for Alex…not a problem at all.

Having stayed at Bush Camp last year, I was hoping for the same wow factor….and was not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, it was like coming back home to a welcoming family. The camp staff and guides all greeted us with genuine warmth and happiness that we had again returned to Bush Camp. After a long journey by road from Nairobi it was a joy to be back in the camp, the birds calling from the tree tops and the hippos laughing and snorting in the river next to the tents. After a cool drink and a delicious lunch, it was soon time to get cracking on our first of many safaris. Our drivers were as enthusiastic and entertaining as last year, their knowledge and understanding of the wildlife and habitat never ceases to amaze. Vehicles were always clean and comfortable, plenty of bean bags for our numerous cameras and lots of water to keep us hydrated in the afternoon heat. The weather was quite wet, so driving conditions were sometimes challenging and added to the adventure. We had a few punctures and got stuck in the mud a few times, but it was never a problem, just another experience to laugh about and take photos of! The river was too high to cross in the vehicles initially and we needed to walk our luggage over the only footbridge, but again, it was all handled really well, with not a problem. Porters arrived like magic and transported all the heavy luggage for us into alternative vehicles and we were soon on our way to our Bush camp home. The service from each and every member of the bush camp team is, without exception, excellent. Always a smile, whatever the request, nothing is a problem or effort it seems. Little touches like a chocolate on the pillow or an extra hot water bottle in the bed at night, all made you feel extra special and so very well cared for.

Located in the heart of the bush, animals abound. the sounds of hippos in the nearby river lull you to sleep and the laughter of the hyaena and the roar of the lion wake you from your slumber! The best safari destination I have been on, especially for big cat sightings.

The camp was located in a gallery forest in a loop of the river in the middle of the park. The sounds of wild animals nearby is a real experience. Nevertheless, we are sure, since the camp Massais night guard. The tents are very spacious and clean with bathroom and even Flushing Toilet. The Level Of Cleanliness In The Restaurant Tent, as well as the food is very good. Service and service were also very good and personally. Our three children (10a) felt very comfortable and were thrilled by the proximity to the animals, in particular the Nilpferden in the ... river, the evening at the sundowner at the Community fire hear, but with a strong flashlight to see. The camp atmosphere gives a true ' out-of-Africa' Feeling. The camp can unlimited also for families to be recommended. We will certainly be back soon. read more

As animal and Naturfotograf I never a trip, the previously, carefully elaborated and my needs were cut. In this animal photographers scene, a tour operator for East Africa, particularly in Kenya and Tanzania in particular. Sunworld Safari is. COM sunworld-Safari quickly got the demand of the photographers looking for a central, flexible location in the Masai-Mara and in the form of Mara-Bush camps implemented. I know and visits the Mara-Bush camp since its birth and have a total of about one hundred to date photographers in the camp run. Everyone, without exception, has the Mara-Bush camp for his photographic needs ... appreciate. The megabyte camp is so centrally located, that shortest arrival way to the various Wild activities (hunting, gathering wildebeests in August/September, crossing the Mara-rivers and much more) are guaranteed. US photographers it is, in place of long journeys, long Beobachtungszeiten to have. In the Mara-Bush camp is very close to the nature of Africa. The camp was not some-fences, but safe. Of the Masai, and still in the night the many noises and from the proximity of the camps to hear. These are transportation, Leo- parden, baboon, hyenas and in the morning from four o'clock the lions male. Here one experiences Africa pure relaxation, as you would expect in the imagination. But I have not won the Mara-Bush camp nice. It is an honest warm friendliness of the black. It is an emotion, in a luxuriously equipped camp overall be supplied. There was a fantastic assortment formally from the eyes. The chef is helpful, food on the table, for we need to go back home in good restaurants. And in the middle of the Bush. The megabyte camp invites you to enjoy, to relax, to read a good book. And always the askari discreet nearby and watches, not something that happened and the guest to his tent is intact. Maybe the enthusiasm for the Mara-Bush camp from my lines erken-a. I would recommend it to anyone; all, whether photographer 'only' or tourist, keni - anische the world wants to experience. by the way: any, in the Mara-Bush camp day Safari Bay, take sunworld-Safari own guides. These guides are on photo and use a cinematic analogy, as well as BBC, trained and know-how, how and where you can enjoy spectacular scene at the best placed. Now, the location, the service of the Mara-Bush camps descri-Ben in my view, and would like only to the issues of cleanliness, service, rooms and sleep comment. I find no restrictions in the comparison a good hotel. The tents are cleaned daily cleaned, the beds made and material for use as side, shampoo, Kleenex, inter alia, replaced. The tent with all, what is the comfortable living and comfortable, equipped. The evening will beds with a mosquito net for the night and prepared on request hot water in the morning for showers, and the beds are better as some has at home. And if the nightly noise backdrop doesn't bother you, it was for his morning Safari rested and has a relaxing night behind it. read more

For the second time here in the camp and loved it as much. Centrally located in the Masai Mara, perfect for stalk trips. Very private because of the low number of tents, the service and the friendliness of the staff. In a small group in the evening at the campfire, the Hemingway-feeling. The tents perfect equipped, everything you need. Cuddly soft beds and also other comforts, such as shower/toilet and so on Luxury in the middle of the boonies! If you want a tiled bathroom and needed a pool, should go elsewhere. We'll be back for sure! Gerd Wagner and ... Carla read more
