We had a water villa and were more than positive over the size, the condition and the decor surprised. The double bed in a pleasant level was good. The walk-in closet with a safe was really large. The bathroom with double sinks, separate toilet and a large shower with 2 independently functioning deckenduschen was clean and you had space for shower 2. with a sea view. Daily cleaning, exchange the towels and the view for the detail, for example were also cotton buds and a coffee maker (dolce guste ) with plenty of coffee or tea available, were great.
The ... mibilar is very good, rattan furniture with separate-, soft and always made with fresh sheets.
The mini bar is good enough stocked and was filled daily at no extra charge.
The view from the bed on the sea we will not soon forget.
The breakfast on our private terrace, we have twice taken into account. It was simply great. We would rather start should.
The internet in the water villa is not always stable and the non-existing tv we didn't miss anything.
The food is always delicious. You notice that the italian influence of the operator. No matter wether in wasservillenrestaurant or at the buffet on the island, it tasted always. Everything is freshly prepared, no matter wether the fish, the many different salads. There is a daily lunch and dinner in addition grilled. It recommends a wasservillenbewohner in the buffet on the island a table to reserve. Otherwise the tables for the wasservillenbewohner in wasservillenrestaurant reserved.
The staff were always and at any time courteous, friendly and helpful, also without tips.
English are required, with the manager and some supervisors is german-language.
The large the vacationer comes from Italy and the german-speaking area. But there were also many japanese people, koreans, a australians and english.
The reef close to the beach, around the island already offers very good diving and snorkelling opportunities. The fish are numerous, colorful and nice to look at. The diversity the coral is simply enormous.
The island also barefoot island and the with good reason. We are the whole time without shoes rum run, except in the sunshine on the good foot bridge, since the decking but very warmed up by the sun have. The true our first Maldives vacation and we were just delighted this started as we with the dohni from the seaplane picked up and we were greeted with a cocktail, our room (water villa) was not yet prepared when we on the island arrived but that was not a problem for us after the welcome cocktail we got first a beach bungalow (and accounts the comfort of both villas experience) so that we freshen up and after food was outstanding as on the island so also in the water villa restaurant we were in our room and we were just ... stunned when we in the room went a dream in white. On the island athuruga is everything all inclusive laundry service very recommendable we have gladly taken into account you can so enormously in clothes sparn to carry out the doctor is always on the island once we had to because of a detail take advantage of the whole mini bar wine, beer, and various soft drinks simply everything included. The service no matter wether at the bar in the restaurant and at the front desk always an ear to lend we accounts always on the aid include herewith a right warm dankä nice Camilla, Petra and ziyadh. \u263a and not to forget the really good house reef we have a lot seen from turtles different species of skates and rays sharks nemos and simply fish fish and more fish thus had we also none snorkel go on excursions we had all on the doorstep. And unfortunately everything was beautiful a end and also we had to after two weeks back home but thanks to diamonds athuruga were not our last Maldives vacation. We spent our honeymoon at the beginning of September on athuruga and from this island incredibly enchanted. There is nothing, but also purely nothing at all at this island to complain about, why in our opinion the quite proud price justified is.

World class island, perfect service, really everything' all inclusive' 6 star food (related to booking a water villa), top care by mrs trapp, book I definitely again. If you are looking for a vacation searches, from sleep, suns, read, delicious food, snorkeling, diving and chilling is, is good hands here. The new, German Resortleiterin Petra is in any case motivated, friendly and cared intensively about each requirement! The guests consisted mainly of it, UK, GB, CH, DE together, the occasional isolated RU or Asians, everything very tasteful!
Again had great weather, only from end of May arrived a few rainy day! Until then partly very hot, so that the bungalows on the west side (clearly windier) be recommended.
A very warm and special thanks goes to Titu ... for everyday Grillgenuß, at Shahalam for the phenomenal pasta variations (quote an Italian' better than in Italy'!), to the complete Italian animation team ( especially at ' Motorino ') and our completely relaxing snorkeling instructor Achim and friend ( all the best you two!).

Accommodation and food
I recommend definitely a water villa to book! If already! We were absolutely thrilled the water villa with massive terrace and private access into the sea. Since it can I even in heavy rain (protected) very good. Alone the direct view of the see ( undisturbed views of the Hausriffseite, as there no boats anchor). And of course the luxury in Wasservillenrestaurant to food. Lunch and evenings a very delicious ( except for the desserts ) 4-course menu with 4 selection possibilities per course. In the morning we were the breakfast on the terrace brought. The breakfast ... was the only thing, we were not so inspired. If delivery is on the terrace were generally the pancakes and the pancakes cold. The 'bright' bread and the extremely sweetened spreads were not so to our taste. Fruit against was OK. The couple hundred Euro extra per person pay themselves in any case in comparison to the rather 'normal' Strandbungalow (which came us rather like duplex house halves before ). Otherwise is completely undisturbed on the terrace the water villa.
Nearby reef: top! There you could easily two daily hour snorkeling and it becomes never boring!
Activities: you can probably surfing etc. We have however not made, since we except for a few diving and snorkeling our honeymoon have enjoy.
Diving school: was perfect! Super team and great diving (sharks, turtles, scorpion fishes, Octopus, etc. )
Negative
- no' hotel information' in the room ( with processes in the hotel, meal times etc.). Apparently degrees pressed.
- no description as safe works. One of the manager knew it also not. He wanted to take care of it, it happened however nothing. We had to three times in staff/ manager/ front desk inquire, until finally one in the evening came and safe unrepresented. With a description as in any cheap hostel we could even skillful.
- at the main bar was a barkeeper rather unfriendly and unsympathetic. It has always the atmosphere destroyed. Apart from that were all employees really friendly.
- no Honeymoondekoration on arrival (despite previous e-mail to the tour operator). Only after twice with two different Hotelmanangern it was done.
- breakfast as mentioned above.
- Roomboy was evenings all lights were on, if he went ( no idea why so an island no energy saving must ).
In spite of the details a totally wonderful vacation been! Super honeymoon! read more

We were 2 years ago on athuruga and to have unfortunately say, that the island a bit neglected has. Especially is the island now almost exclusively on Italian guests adjusted and it is very much in Italian explained ( especially in the animation). The island was still super nice and the service first class, however was 2 years ago for example the selection of food still much bigger. The island can still with clear conscience be recommended, we would however now a other Island. read more

This time as we don't want on a 10 hours-flight, we have the vacation 'gesplittet' on 3 days desert (liwa desert-qasr al sarab dessert - very recommendable!), then 10 days athuruga and then 3 days emirates palace.
Athuruga was for us the first Maldives holiday under italian leadership. We had a bungalow, since i the photos find so great. The island is nice, but i would always only the bungalow recommend! The wasserrestaurant i found not so comfortable. Because it while we were there renovated, 'had' we in the buffet at country food (what a lucky!) And were allowed as ... compensation but additionally à la carte service. I found the food very good (as vegetarierin)-there was always a lot for us, and everything was delicious. The home-made ice cream is very delicious and my hips it to me right after the holiday thanked! The bungalow is really exceptionally beautiful, with the i-mac we have every day skype and enamels read. The home breakfast we also use (was included) and for breakfast the 'flying' fish shoals to look. From time to time we could also see the dolphins (brilliant!).
The reef directly at the water bungalows i found rather disappointing - very little fish and much too many sea cucumbers (the mess up the wasserbild!).
This mass of sea cucumber is also a reason, this island not again to select. But swam often mantas on our bungalow past (see video). The staff are super friendly and in the morning were 2 entertainers always at the stretching to sweat stituents, since nobody else took part we had literally tutoring; o
In spite of the sea cucumber a relaxing and successful holiday! read more

If someone likes snorkeling here it is just perfect the square. The corals are very well maintained and accordingly also beautifully. The nearby riff is relatively nearby reachable and very varied. I really liked the free laundry service. The rooms were 2 times cleaned daily ( is however on the Maldives most so). In the room was no tv, if you however had the need, you could nearby the front desk itself tv-show purely hauls. There was also a free library (at least 60 dtsch. Books). Man must definitely not then books still carry. The staff speaks too many only ... English or Italian. The hotel management on site, as well. With German one comes on this island no further. Was for me however not a problem, since I both spoke ability. Kosmetikartikel one should bring along, since the only shop on the island excessive prices has. The restaurant there is a Italian Cook and accordingly are also the dishes laid out. Noodles with different sauces were always. Apart from that was the food completely okay. Very nice and pleasant I found the live music for the food. Every afternoon and evening, a Italian very pleasant Songs Sung ( not only Italian Songs). It is not a 'party' island and evenings is the entertainment very reserved too. It is a very small Island, in about 10 minutes cozy could. A jog takes just 4 minutes. Exactly the correct for pure relaxation. I would in any case this island recommend. read more

Very beautiful hotel, finest sandy beach.
The food the water villa were very nice and nicely designed, but the taste could be better ( too much olive oil). We have the food very good, mini bar is included, breakfast can in the room are supplied. Snacks and fruit once a day into the room delivered.
Wi-fi at the reception area active and all water villa have eigenne wi-fi and imac computer.
To the staff: 'almost' everybody was friendly, really nice manageman (mrs ), German speaking snorkeling instructor, merely the barkeepers were very rude and can gladly time in everything you ... do.
Sports and free time equipment are in the price included ( there are loaners accordingly in used condition-) ).
The reef is brilliant, we were unfortunately only 2 time there (something longer needed until I my meerphobie could overcome).
In short: if you are looking for a quiet small comfortable island with luxury and great reef diving and snorkeling with perfect sandy beach are looking for is right at home here, and the all inclusive here is really all inclusive.

We had the beach house number 31 and were very satisfied. For of the terrace were palm trees, thus was enough shade available to the bright sun protection. The room was always very clean and liked particularly the bathroom and the shower in the open. There was the air conditioning very silent.

the vacation we liked it very much. The hotel facilities are good and clean. Only the toilets in the public area are not air-conditioned and thus it can have ' Krabbelltierchen '. We stayed in a water bungalow (number 13) morning sun and evenings the sunset. We have almost always in the ' water restaurant eaten. The map has been repeated after one week. But from salad buffet, 4 starters, 4 appetizers, 4 main courses, desserts or 4 dessert buffet was this could be selected reasonable the breakfast we almost always delivered to your room or terrace.
the bungalows are ... very close together.
we were every day even the IDIVERS divinggreat service and good. Care. No equipment dragged clean or equipment. Everything is done.
