This hotel is located literally at the entrance to Petra, which is very much appreciated on the way out, when you are tired coming back. The room is huge: I got an upgrade, which was very nice. Staff is very nice and takes care of you and any of your complaints. The only issues are mostly cold breakfast (just a few hot plates), bag control at the entrance, every single time one enters (it might be a good thing too, I guess), and finally, I think they cheaped out a little bit on construction workers, so although the materials and ... design are very nice, there are issues with execution (say, in the bathroom the tiles are not laid out perfectly). All these are very minor issues, I must say. read hotel review

Perfect location for visiting Petra

This is the perfect location for visiting Petra - the hotel's entrance is located immediately across the road from the ticket box and entrance to the sites. The room was very comfortable with a nice balcony and a good sized bathroom with lovely amenities (Dead Sea soaps, bath salts etc). The gym and pool were smaller than we'd have liked, but they were clean and functional. The restaurants both in the hotel and nearby were perfectly adequate for families visiting with children, and the free welcome movenpick ice cream was a hit. We also enjoyed free chocolate hour (5-6pm) in ... place of the usual 'happy hour' that many hotels host. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Petra and not wishing to have to take a bus back and forth to the site - the proximity alone is reason enough to book, and the quality of accommodation and the staff reinforce this hotel as a top choice. read hotel review

We stayed two nights at this hotel in Petra, and as we then stayed at the very disappointing Movenpick Resort at the Dead Sea I really felt I must praise the Petra hotel for being so wonderful. The location is outstanding - you literally step out the front and across the road is the entrance to Petra - very much appreciated after walking all day. The rooms are very good (though you might be advised to bring a plug for the bath - missing in both rooms). I would say you have to be brave to go in the pool ... - it was very cold. The wi-fi is a challenge, but no worse than in many other hotels I've stayed in - it's free (unlike most Hilton hotels) and if you're patient it does work. The best bit is that the staff are so helpful and the service was excellent. At every meal in the restaurant they were always very attentive, kind, sociable and nothing was too much trouble. Their sister hotel at the Dead Sea could learn so much from them. Would highly recommend. read hotel review

The location of the hotel is optimal: right at the entrance to the site or the visitor center, through which one only the ráj arrived, location. However, it is this day and over night rather loud, also with closed windows. Surely the best Haus am Platz, also in a very good overall condition. Whether the very intensive security is really necessary, we could not judge, the whole place was very safe (as is the abzockgefahr by ' local leaders and service providers' clearly bigger). Despite the size of the hotel inside it is pleasant piecemeal laid out, surprisingly small, but ... adequate and very courteous front desk. Overall, and the hotel looks much better, as the website suggests. read hotel review

We had a royal suite: very spacious and nice, especially but very comfortable, furnished. The air conditioning system was good and also necessary, although a bit noisy at night. The bathroom was very clean and large, only the bath was a bit small, but with small and toilettenkram equipped. A genuine plus are the other equipment (nespresso, flat screen everywhere), only phones are dated and the (free) minibar could be a few spirits stood - it was constantly filled up. The whole had 2 furnished balconies, of which 1 with a direct view of the entrance to the visitor's center.

  • Gastronomy
    5.0

We enjoyed the roof-top restaurant and the buffet restaurant try. The barbecue on the roof terrace, with a reference to the arab cuisine, are very good, very suitable with the choice. The buffet restaurant (for breakfast, as well as for lunch and dinner) is ok, partly very country typical. A little limited, the selection of wines - caution: only the head waiter had notion of his wines, the 'normal' basement knew simply not really, what they were. But his recommendations for the ' jordanians' really very suitable. The prices are certainly for the landesschnitt very high, for us and for a 5 star hotel, but ok. Otherwise one can only 20m away typical for the country and very good and very cheap (2-4 Euro/court) alternatively food.

  • Service
    6.0

Very friendly staff, the room service was also (for every desired specially) a genuine bear. Very pleasant, no 'baksheesh business', but simply helpful. Presidency with recommendations from untergeordnetem staff for 'leaders' and' service providers ' - over the reception and the help-desk again: is serious, take advantage of time-saving and much cheaper in the price. The services, the hotel gives you, are based on a firm preistabelle, the also for the 'external' is, what practical and helpful, in which there was the otherwise annoying haggling avoid.

  • Sport & Leisure
    4.0

The pool is innenseitig in the house, is a bit on the präsentiertteller and you have to go through the half house, to be added. The spa area and the indoor pool are well, okay and everything was very clean, but not very imaginative, small and in the evening quite early to, rather an emergency solution and not the level of a 5 star hotel or resort. The club level was (construction site? You heard at least not further...). There was a nice ice cream parlor in the hotel... Just Mövenpick.

Top location to the rock city, but it was relatively loud and on a busy corner. The center in sufficient distance, enough other restaurants nearby. But otherwise perfect for exploring Petra location.

After we in the rental car from amman to Petra drove and i was already a little bit of the country had seen, was this hotel for me the paradise, just as my expectations were not very high. The reception was cordial, our car was parked, we got our room unfortunately only a few hours later, so that we were right on the tour of Petra made. Because it on this day was very cold, we arrived little frozen to the hotel back, where it in the room luckily had a bathtub (if a minitub). The bathroom even was a ... bit moldy but the us in the condition so no matter. The evening buffet was perfect and lots of other cheap (i believe, so the 20 Euro rum ) with a great starters buffet, so that we not any main courses ate. The beds comfortable, soft blanket and pillows. Coffee making facilities available, mini bar, complementary (but only 5 cans with soft drinks) The hair dryer in the bathroom useless, because hardly force. In the hotel there is a fitness room, which i personally not spoken (after a day on foot by Petra anyway not really necessary), and a sauna, the smelled very musty. The breakfast again was perfect excellent. Ronnefeldt -tea, bread, vegetables, humus, Mövenpick jam and ful madammes and falafel. Overall very recommendable, if you not too much expected, then almost star level. read hotel review

At first glance very beautiful hotel in an Arabian style. Room was also clean and large. Appalling the breakfast was: stuck table, dirty stained chairs and food remainders on the walls. Rooftop dreamlike view was because of 'winter' closed! A great shame and inflexible! No worth 5 stars. Scored too many with the location: right opposite from the entrance to Petra! read hotel review

In Wadi Musa if you're staying only for Petra. That is why the hotel is already alone because of its location right at the entrance of the old city nabataeans beat. In the winter season is a upgrade the room category obviously possible without a problem. The decor is typically very good Mövenpick, inspired by the architecture of the region. Big minus is the prices of the restaurant in the hotel: the buffet is 28 euros los, without drinks. If you then to restaurants outside of the hotel you want to avoid, will again disappointed: the food is in Petra-unlike ... most of Jordan-a shame. read hotel review

The Mövenpick stayed for two nights our accommodation for the visit of Petra. The hotel is very beautiful in the oriental style. The rooms are huge. Especially here the breakfast buffet loved it. Negative the atmosphere is in the food hall, the background noise rather a large cafeteria reminded. Very nice of the evenings is the roof terrace the hotel is directly at the entrance to the site, is so ideal starting point the nabataeans-city to visit. read hotel review

The location is ideal, as it is directly at the entrance the site is. Options for shopping are given. In front of the hotel are always taxis, if you directly in the place am. For excursions in the closer environment recommended the taxis( for example little Petra) because they are cheaper than the litle.

A really nice hotel with all Oriental luxury. Excellent food-you cannot even go out :-). Staff was very friendly. Especially recommended are the evenings on the roof terrace with romantic views. The hotel is very well maintained and has a great location to visit the ráj. Only in a few minutes you can get to the entrance. Hotel Lobby and patio area invite to stay. We had a very nice room, are directly driven, but other guests were not very happy-I guess it from the travel agent. the has of course its price. Breakfast and food was excellent. The presentation has the appetite the staff was suggested and very courteous. Conclusion: first choice read hotel review

We were only a night at the hotel to explore to Petra. The hotel is located right across the street from the entrance to Petra site, so great location. You can to walk and is in about three minutes at the entrance where it then various guides are, which will get you around and tell a lot about a Petra. The hotel has also a small pool in the backyard. The breakfast buffet is really great-from various breads bircher muesli, scrambled eggs with on bacon you will find everything. Also the dinner was very tasty and is in a separate ... restaurant in form of a buffet. I can only recommend the hotel-it is the Mövenpick standard. read hotel review

For the few place the hotel available had, it really is a great hotel. Especially the Oriental architecture and kind Furnishings are a real eye catcher. On relatively little space everything was necessary. the lobby with the al Multaqa lounge are very inviting. read hotel review

A gorgeous hotel. Unfortunately the room had a view on a building site! Furthermore, was not passed, that we a night had reversed, due to the Agency (often travel). Since we only arrived very late, we got a very good food to midnight on's room. You can expect the but also amazing prices. Unique is the location, directly across from the entrance to Petra. read hotel review

Hotel has the best location only about 100 Mövenpick metres from the main entrance of Petra ruins. Very clean hotel with nice lobby and cafe. Good and friendly service at dinner, not so good for breakfast. Standard room is very small as in two to three star hotels. read hotel review

A wonderful new hotel directly at the entrance of Petra. We particularly pleased, that this time the service quality and the friendliness the staff the global picture is very positive if completed. especially enjoyed the evening on the roof terrace in the fourth floor in the open. Here could you also an à la carte dinner take, we have unfortunately on late notice. We stayed at the buffet restaurant at our fullest satisfaction eaten. Sad, that our itinerary a night provided. read hotel review
